Story
We get him about 10 months ago and after about 5 months my fiancés mom passed away and he had to move in with me and my family and dogs. He was good for a while and then we recently had an incident where he got aggressive with one of my familys dogs. I think he would do better in a home where he is the only pet. He occasionally gets spooked by people and growls but has never attacked anyone. We got him from a shelter and assume he was abused. We are heart broken to get rid of him but its not safe or fair for our other dogs.

Story
Diamond is three years old and has been with our family since she was a puppy. She is a lovable ball of energy who enjoys getting her ears scratched, chewing on her toys and snuggles. She is house trained and knows some basic commands. She is somewhat easy to train and a sucker for treats. She typically sleeps in her crate but does well without it. She has a big bark but warms up to people easily. We are looking for someone who is patient and kind. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thank you.

Story
**Felon is in a foster home and not living at the kennel** Be prepared, Felon will steal your heart and possibly your place on the couch too. He is willing to share with anyone though. What a hunk of love Felon is! He is about to steal your heart. Felon's birthday is October 19, 2018 and he weighs approximately 73 pounds. Through no fault of his own, Felon has found himself back at the rescue after being adopted from us as a puppy, due to family medical issues. He is grieving his family and hoping to find his forever family very soon. Felon is well-mannered, playful and connecting, what a sweetie! The cutest thing ever is he does a nice sit pretty for treats and also does a happy dance when meeting new people. He just loves tennis balls (really any ball) too and easily relinquishes them. Felon loves cuddling, playing ball or tug, chewing bones and watching out the window. He is afraid of staircases and really wants to chase the outside kitties. Felon was a year old when his human brother was born and did exceptionally well with him. They were best of friends. Felon's foster home has three kids ages 11, 13 and 14. He is wonderful with the kids and all visitors. Children age 8 and older would be the best fit for a gentleman like Felon. Felon was raised with a female and male dog whom he lived with for 5 years. He is currently in a home with two female dogs. He initially wanted to mount them but they told him no, so he now enjoys simply stacking with the girls (if you own a bully mix, you know). Any dogs in the home will need an introduction prior to adoption. Felon sleeps through the night, is crate trained and stands by the door to go potty outside. However, his foster family has missed a couple signals which has led to accidents in the home. These shall diminish as he becomes more regulated with a known schedule and the humans aware of his potty times. He does not mark the home. Felon prefers to cuddle with the man of the house as he grew up being a daddy's boy. Although, he does love everyone equally. If you are interested in Felon and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying*

Story
**in a foster home and not at the kennel** Howdy, folks! Name’s Yeehaw! I ain’t your ordinary dog, no siree! My life is like a comedy show, full of twists and turns. So, how did I end up here? Well, I was playing fetch with a donut. Yes, a donut! I ran into a police station, thinking it was a game. Next thing I know, I am being escorted to the shelter. Can you believe that? They thought I was a donut thief! I was just hungry. Now I’m looking for a new home, where the food is plenty and the love never ends. If you are up for some fun, laughter, and endless games of fetch then I’m your dog! I’m super friendly and like other dogs. I am not much for long walks. I prefer fun and games. Sadly, fun and games is what got me here in the first place. Some structure and consistency in my world would be great for me! My mugshot doesn’t say it but I’m about 2 years old and around 40 Lbs. Since I now have a record as a thief (I plead the fifth!), I will need an adult only home who can help me work on trading instead of stealing food and treats! If you got what I need to help me change my ways and keep me on the straight and narrow path then come meet me! I’ll be in my jail cell at k9. Feel free to pre-submit an application for me at k9stray.com and one of my wardens will contact you. *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats*

Story
Well just look at that loveable face! Battlestar is estimated to be about 2 years old and weighs 66 pounds. Battlestar is a big, wiggly, and outgoing guy who is on the hunt for his forever home. What a lover boy, he is very connecting with lots of love to give and a happy-go-lucky nature that makes him a hit with everyone he meets. He is super playful and loves his toys, but also just likes to be close to you leaning in for love. Battlestar is incredibly smart, he already knows the commands "sit", “trade” and "leave it". He can be a bit strong on the leash, but with a little training, he will pick it right up. Battlestar's adopter needs to know how to instill leadership and understand the importance of this with a large bully breed dog. He is very attentive and looks to you for direction and reassurance, he is ready to soak up all you have to teach him. Battlestar will need a home where any children are at least 13 years old with his big size and he can be “all in” when playing with his toys. Oh, how this sweet boy wishes for a family to love. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Battlestar would love to meet them. He has a calm, soft, friendly approach with other dogs. He even likes to give them gentle kisses. If you are interested in Battlestar and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Thomas got adopted and they decided to turn around to return him before they even made it home. We NEED to share the story because we believe someone out there will appreciate it & love Thomas more for it! On his way home from being adopted, Thomas & his new family were going through the McDonald’s drive thru. (We’ve all smelled the delicious scent of a McD’s drive thru...) When they pulled up to the window, Thomas smelled THAT SMELL and couldn’t contain his excitement. He took a leap — straight out of the car window, through the drive thru window & ended up INSIDE THE MCDONALD’S. Yes, that’s right. This little hamburglar could join in on Olympic jumping team…if burgers were at the finish line. If you appreciate this story as much as we do, you’ll appreciate the joy Thomas brings. In his defense, who hasn’t made questionable decisions in a drive thru?! Thomas is crate- and potty-trained, making him a perfect addition to any home. He knows basic commands and loves to impress by giving his paw, a gesture that captures hearts immediately! Thomas thrives on companionship with humans and dogs. He loves playtime and has a friendly demeanor. His ideal people would be home often or a home with enough people that someone is usually around. Thomas LOVES his toys, which keep him entertained for hours. An outdoor enthusiast, Thomas enjoys running and playing outside, where he can stretch his legs and explore the yard. After some time playing, there’s nothing he loves more than relaxing with his humans. If you’re looking for a faithful friend who is playful, affectionate, and clever, Thomas could be your perfect match. Meet this gem and let him gently paw his way into your life! -55 lbs. -3 years old -American Bulldog Mix (Visual Guess) -Crate & Potty trained -Neutered, Microchipped & UTD on vaccines -Prefers to be the only pet in the home -Kid Friendly -Loves playing with toys & running in the yard -Loves a McDonald’s Drive Thru…just a seatbelt ;) Apply for Thomas at: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application
