You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Harley is such a great dog! A note from his foster:  He’s perfectly well-behaved in the house. House-trained, gentle and happily goes into his crate at night or when asked. He’s smart and knows some commands. Seems to take satisfaction from pleasing humans, with just enough personality to make you laugh. He knows enough to test boundaries, but quickly course-corrects. This pup is grateful for getting the pets and is thrilled with the bully-rub.  He’s happy to nap by your feet during work calls, lay in the sun, and eager to go for walks. Good on a leash. Happy to sit for his harness and takes commands well when leaving the house. His prey drive is high — gets too excited about squirrels, most birds, other critters that scurry. He’s not well-suited for other dogs. Or cats.  He’s got some hound in his mix; loves to sniff and on the occasions when a siren would pass he would sing along. (Adorable.) Not a crazy barker, but can sound fierce when he does bark. He’s more of a gentle giant with humans. Did just fine with new people coming into the home. Sheds a lot!  Harley would live his best life in a home where he’s the only pet. A privacy-fenced yard to run free in would be nice, I suspect, but he’s seemingly just as happy to live in a city and go for walks a few times a day. Contact with other dogs would have to be limited.  He’s the perfect dog if you’re looking for a loyal best friend, and don’t have other pets.  Due to his being dog selective, we will only place Admiral in a home with childern 14 and older. If you are interested in Admiral, please contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com      *** Click here to sponsor this dog! *** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 5:13 pm

Story
Say hello to Wally!!! This petite neutered mixed breed boy is about 40 pounds and full of love! At almost a year old he is looking for a family that is in it for the long haul! Dispite having a rough start in life down south he has recovered and put it all behind him. Wally loves his people (all sizes) and will be sure to follow you wherever you go! He loves ripping squeakers out of stuffies, chewing on bones, cuddling and playing with his foster sister. He’s a fair weather boy and certainly does not like going out in the rain. Wally is crate and house trained and rides well in the car. While he rather not be in his crate he goes in willingly and after telling you how displeased he is that you are leaving he will settle in. He currently is not living with any feline friends. Wally would like nothing more than a family to spend the holidays with and to of course shower his new family with love. Wally is currently fostered in Dillsburg and is UTD on vaccines a preventatives . New Oxford PA 17350; LIC # 9736   We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Story
I want a mutt-o-potamus for Christmas, and only a mutt-o-potamus will do! I don't want a doll, no dinky Tinkertoy I want a mutt-o-potamus to play with and enjoy! Sir Fredrickson is a handsome 1.5 year old, 60 lb mixed breed looking for a family of his own! Fred has been on the look out for his perfect home since his arrival in October and has been working on being the best boy he can be! Fred is crate trained, house broken, friendly with dogs and all kids/people. We are saying no cats at this time. To win over this boys heart, he would love a family that could give him a daily walk/playtime, sharing of treats and a lap to lay on. If this sounds like a match for you, Fred would love to meet you! Fred is UTD on shots, neutered and fostered in Carlisle PA. New Oxford PA 17350; LIC # 9736   We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Story
Dear Santa,   As you already know, my name is Zeus: a Mixed breed, 45lbs, 10 month old neutered male. This year was a little tough in the beginning, but I traveled all the way from Georgia in the hope I find my forever home.  Do you think I can run faster than Rudolph? Don't worry we won't get lost because Rudolph has his nose, and I got a cool microchipped. Santa, I am on the nice list this year, right? I know I can be a bit mouthy & can't control myself when food is left unattended, but I'm trying really hard & I learned so many new things, like sit, stay, come, and am working on recall from a distance & off leash. My foster family says I graduated potty training! & I am learning a lot. (the food motivation is good for that!) Santa just remembered, I love Kids and other dogs, but I'm high energy, so I know I can be a little too much energy for some. Also, I don't get along with cats or other small animals. Cuddling is one of my favorite activities with my foster family. Currently, I am living in a temporary home in Mountville, Pa. Just right outside of Lancaster! If you do find a home me, don't forget to tell them to fill out an application. I am so very excited to meet them at the meet and greet. A family is all I really want for Christmas this year. Next year, I'll try even harder to be the best friend for my new family. Story
Bubo is a sweet playful love bug. He acts like a puppy. Due to his high energy level he would thrive in an active household. He loves to walk and play. An outdoor space for him to run would be ideal. He would be best suited for a family with older children and larger dogs. Bubo is crate/kennel trained and is working on his house training. He is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. He can be transported anywhere in the US and Canada. ##1499374##
