Meet Momma Moonpie – The Sweetest Velcro Dog Looking for Her Perfect Forever Home!
Everyone, meet Momma Moonpie, our absolute obsession! This incredible 3-year-old girl was the devoted mother to a litter of puppies we adopted out in fall 2024, and now it’s her turn to find a forever home.
Moonpie is sweet, gentle, loving, and honestly, just perfect. She adores kids of all ages, is a professional-level snuggler, and is what we call a "velcro dog"—she wants to be with her people all the time. Because of her deep love for human companionship, we’d love to see her go to a family where someone works from home, so she can always have her favorite humans nearby.

All of our dogs are up-to-date on vaccines and altered, unless there are extenuating circumstances which we will make certain that you are aware of.
Paws From Afar believes that all dogs should have adventures as often as possible! They need a change of scenery, smellery, new paths to explore, or oceans to swim in.
Pet insurance is required prior to pickup. Please make sure you calculate this into your monthly expenses. We recommend Trupanion for its:1 Coverage for all new injuries and illnesses2 Direct payment to the hospital or facility3 Unlimited payout for the lifetime of your pet
Cats? We can have any of our dogs tested for compatibility with cats upon request.
If the pup is still listed, they are still available. We bring our dogs up from the South, and if you require a meet and greet, we are not the right rescue for you. However, we are happy to connect you with the pup’s foster prior to adoption.
