Story
Lola was adopted as a puppy by my daughter and son-in-law 9 years ago from Friends of the Animals in Baton Rouge. They had to rehome her when their first child was born so my son took her in. He had a very large dog and they got along fine. My son moved out of state and this past July and could not take either of his dogs. We acquired Lola, July 28, 2024, with the intention of rehoming her ourselves due to allergies and and so our grandchildren can continue to visit our home. Lola is about 9 1/2 years old. She loves to play fetch and tug of war. She is intelligent and listens well. She is extremely sweet and makes a good companion dog! We are looking for a loving home for Lola that has a fenced yard to enjoy a small amount of outside play, and to bask in shade or sun. This home should not have small children or small pets as she has the tendancy to be aggressive to animals and children smaller than her. She is an excellent guard dog.

Story
He’s 81 pounds of mighty love— it’s Boudreaux the olde English Bulldogge mix! Boudreaux is 7 years young and hasn’t met a creature he couldn’t get along with. Surrendered to ARNO after his owner was experiencing landlord issues, this bonafide charmer is ready for his next chapter. His foster mom has taken him to work where’s been a star performer. He also gets along great with other dogs, cats, kids, is housebroken, and rarely barks! He loves to go on (short) walks and getting the zoomies in the yard. While he may have some missing hair due to alopecia, his beautiful wrinkles make up for the lack of fur. Boudreaux is commonly referred to as a “ham” or “booty” for his easygoing, fun, and well-behaved personality. He's quickly become a favorite pup and will make his future family feeling very lucky. But don’t let his size fool you, he is not very food motivated and will stop eating when he’s full, maintaining his beautiful figure. He lights up the room whenever he goes and he’s hoping his next stop is at your house!________________________________________________If you would like to meet one of our adoptables or learn more about them, please submit an application at https://animalrescueneworleans.org/adoptfoster/.**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment with an approved application. Story
My name is Coco. I am a 4 year old boxer mix who would love to meet you.I only weigh 48 lbs, but ARNO has fattened me up. I was found dragging a chain behind me and a sad past, but you would never know it. I am a happy and playful girl. I appreciate every little thing as I get to know the good life in foster, but I would love a home of my own. My foster says I am good with everyone and everything. I will spend the rest of my life thanking you! Story
NOTE! Please read the last paragraph to learn how to apply to Adopt or to Foster Grady! Well, look who is ready and waiting for Adoption OR a Foster Home! It is GRADY, the Boxer mix we recently rescued. He has turned out to be THE best boy and is loved by everyone that meets him...well, except for cats...they don't like him much. Grady has been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and tested Negative for heartworms!! He came to us at about 62 pounds, but he is still thin. We believe he is approximately 2 years old, probably less. He sometimes still urinates like a puppy and he's so curious about Everything... sneaks up on anything unfamiliar. It's so cute to watch! Grady is house-trained and he knows 'sit.' He takes treats very gently from your hand and will give you big kisses in return. He's playful, but will chill with you on the couch, too. Grady is good with other dogs and children; but NOT good with cats. He's an all-around great dog and has many years ahead to fill your life with love and fun! Please apply to Foster OR Adopt him by completing the online application you will find near his photos on our website, www.BaytownHumaneSociety.org !
