Story
Hi Friends, my name is Dearborn! I want to tell you how smart I am. I know my commands like `sit` `down` and `shake.` I have a lot of energy but I`m a really nice guy. I walk well when I`m wearing my easy walk harness. I have met other doggies and do best with chill, calm friends. I would LOVE to meet YOU!

Story
Xena wandered onto our porch in early March, completely emaciated and showing signs of recently given birth. We took her into the vet and she was not chipped, and we were never able to locate the owner or her puppies. We took her in immediately and have continued to nurse her back to health, she has since gained about 30 pounds, been spayed, and up to date on her shots. She has gotten along well with our other two dogs a pitbull and mini poodle. She has not been around young children but does just fine with adolescents. She is decent on a leash and great in public settings. She can be very timid in new settings but adjusts just fine over time with reassurance. According to the vet she is approximately 2-3 years old. She is high energy and would need daily walks or a yard to play in. She is very affectionate. We have cared for her as long as we can but due to needing to relocate and having two dogs already we cannot continue to care for her so we are looking for her forever home!

Story
Penny is an incredibly sweet, food-motivated dog who will learn anything in exchange for a couple of treats. She is crate trained, potty trained, and loves to play with humans and love on anyone who will offer a scratch and a kiss. Penny would prefer a home where she can be the apple of her human's eye. She is deaf, but that does not that slow her down, and she knows multiple hand signals. She loves to go for hikes and to meet new people. Do you have room in your home and heart for this amazing dog? Penny is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.

Story
Ace came to Speedway Street Department as a stray. After tracking down his owner via his microchip, we learned that Ace has been rehomed 3 times in his short 1.5 years. His first owner loved him very much but was unable to keep him due to breed restrictions. She re-homed him to a friend, who also ran into the same issue. His third owner could not keep Ace contained in his yard, so opted not to reclaim him from animal control. Ace is a WONDERFUL dog, who wants nothing more than to play with toys. He is extremely athletic, and needs a home with a privacy fence. We are recommending him for a home with older kids only, due his size and energy level (he could easily knock over a little one, and then smother them in kisses). He has done well during introductions with other dogs. The jury is still out on cats. In his interactions, he has been extremely curious. We do not believe he would be aggressive, but we do think he may want to play with them, as he thinks the entire world is his toy box. Ace is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, on heartworm prevention, and microchipped. Considering Ace for adoption? (when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with cats, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Kore is approximately 4 years old and such a great dog. She isn't bothered by thunderstorms or fireworks and rarely makes much noise (unless you count her snoring). She knows basic commands thru hand signals because she is completely deaf. She knows how to walk well on a leash and has a ton of energy, which makes her an excellent walking/running partner. Kore is very selective on what dogs she prefers, so she does best as an only dog, but she absolutely loves all cats and kittens, even the ones who don't like her. She is great with kids of all ages, but she does forget her strength so she can be a bit much for smaller kids. She loves car trips and is fully crate trained. She is very trainable and absolutely loves to please her handler. She is very ball-motivated and will play fetch til she's utterly exhausted. She can be a bit of a piglet and she loves mud but she's an absolute dream to bathe and she will stand for you calmly and dries almost fully with one towel. She's a great dog with a super happy-go-lucky personality. A 6' fence will be necessary for anyone interested in adopting Kore.

Meet Benny! Your New Snuggle Buddy with a Side of Zoomies! This 10-month-old ball of fun is searching for his forever family! Benny as all the best puppy vibes -- loads of energy, loves other dogs, great with kids, and is house trained (though he sometimes gets a little anxious in his crate - who doesn't, right?). When he's not zooming around, he's a total cuddle bug and will happily keep you warm on those Netflix binge nights! Benny LOVES squeaky toys, bones, and a good game of tug-of-war (he takes it very seriously). He's also super food motivated (treats = heart eyes) and thrives with consistency. Plus, he's already neutered, up to date on his vaccines, microchipped, and dewormed -- all for just $300! Ready to bring home the sweetest pup near Indianapolis?
