Story
Hannah was at Lousiana shelter most of her young life.  She is now 4 years old and around 45 lbs. HANNAH was rescued from Louisiana. Hannah is a very loveable and sweet girl. It took us over a year to make her a house dog. She preferred to stay in our kennel area or outside.  She is still a work in progress, however she has grown into a confident homebody that love to sit in her fosters chair. She loves to pester dogs, she never learned how to play with other dogs as a puppy.  With dogs that are older or smaller she can show an alpha side. However she has zero aggression in her. She is well behaved in the house.. She probably won't come to you at first, but treats are the way to her heart.  She is calm and once she trusts you she wants to just be by your side. She is okay in the car, however she is not a dog that would want to visit new places, and she won't walk on a leash unless she has to, such as going to vet etc. She did go to daycare and the staff there said she did great, getting her inside was not the easiest as she had to walk through a large parking lot, through many cars that were parked or moving. She is not a city dog and a quiet life is best for her.  Hannah is available under our Foster to Adopt Program.  A secure fenced in back yard is needed, and someone who is home more and has the time to give her the love and companionship she never had. Children should be over the age of 8 years old. She never goes in a crate, and she does not need one. She can free roam when your not home. She does not chew, and is housebroken. We will only consider applications within 50 miles of Crown Point, Indiana so we can assist the adopter with her transition and bring her to your home for a visit. Her adoption fee is $100. Hannah is spayed/ vaccinated and microchipped.  For more information on our Foster to Adopt Program go to this link https://indianasaveadog.com/foster-to-adopt ##1908388##

Story
Meet Honey! Honey is about 8 years old, weighs in at 50# and is a Staffordshire/Pitbull Terrier. She was found as a stray a few months ago and stayed at her finders home, while they looked for the owners, with no luck. Honey is a sweet girl with her humans. She is good with kids, but it is recommended that kids in her new home be old enough to recognize when she doesn't want to be bothered and to give her space. She would LOVE to be your ONE AND ONLY spoiled fur princess in your home! Honey does not appreciate other dogs who are going to be in her face or jump on her. She is bossy and wants to be the dominate over other dogs in her space. She is a NO cat kind of girl. Honey is potty/kennel trained and walks good on a leash.   Honey has some lumps and bumps on her body, which is normal for her age. It is recommended that Honey have a dental cleaning within the year. We can give you the contact info for a local vet that offers affordable dental prices.   Spayed, microchipped, heartworm & Lyme negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Her adoption fee is just $25 through 12/17!    If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog   Once submitted our staff will review and then contact you to set up a meet and greet! If it's a match, you can take home on the same day. Any other dogs in the home must come in for a meet & greet! We do offer a 2 week foster to adopt trial time, to be sure the chosen pet is a good fit, before finalizing the adoption!    Closed Sunday/Thursday    11-4 Saturday/Monday   11-5 Tuesday/Friday    11-6 Wednesday ##2193637##

Story
Hi! This is Maple 🍁. Maple is a fantasticly wonderful dog. Shes so sweet and loving and smart! Shes potty trained, creat trained, walks beautifully on a leash (until she sees a squirrel), she has been working on learning more tricks but she has sit and shake down pat. She has also done wonderfully with clicker traning. She is such a good dog, unfortunately even though she loves other dogs we believe she would thrive as the only dog in the home. She enjoys sleeping in and cuddles under the blankets, but shes also ready to go on an adventure anywhere at any time. She does get cold and appreciates her sweaters. She loves to get pet and belly rubs, she's an expert fluffy toy destroyer, loves hard toys, and tennis balls! She does destroy her toys but is not destructive in the house.

Story
Hi guys! I'm Max and I'm 2 years old! I am a super sweet guy that will require both physical and mental stimulation to keep me the happiest and healthiest boy! I am a loyal, energetic and and highly intelligent guy that learns super quick, especially when it comes to treats! I do have some herding behavior in me and will do best with a yard to give me that space to run it off! Because of this tendency, a home without young children or cats would be best unless you are experienced and know how to correct this behavior if it pops up. Now that we're past all the boring stuff, I am SUPER goofy and love to play! Water doesn't really seem to bother me, and I have the best time with toys! Once my energy is appeased, I love to come to you for cuddles and big nap! I hope you'll come out to meet me soon! Some quick facts about me: Not Cat Friendly (will chase)Dog SelectiveKid Friendly (over 5) Likely housetrainedIntelligent, loyal friend! Hi there, I’m Sheba and I’m 4.5 years old! I’m a sweet girl who loves to hang out in the sunshine. I'm a pretty independent girl, and I like to take walks and sniff the flowers. I came into the shelter with my older brother Stanley as owner surrenders but it was due to no fault of my own. I am kid friendly (12+) so come out to meet me today!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me!
