Story
A sweet and gentle soul, Maya is ready to find a family to love. This mature girl has impeccable manners—she keeps her kennel clean, stays quiet, and waits patiently for her favorite humans to stop by for a visit. But don’t let her polite demeanor fool you—Maya is all about the snuggles. At 58 pounds, she’ll do her very best to convince you she’s a lap dog, gently nudging her way into your arms for all the affection she can get. While toys haven’t quite caught Maya’s interest, she’s a big fan of treats. Show her a tasty morsel, and she’ll eagerly sit and offer you a pawshake with her soft, roly-poly charm. Her favorite reward, though, is a good belly rub. Maya will happily roll onto her back, paws up, ready to soak in the love and attention she adores. Maya is the kind of dog who will warm your home and your heart. With her quiet, easygoing nature and affectionate spirit, she’s the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal friend to relax with at the end of the day. If you’ve got a cozy spot on the couch and room in your heart, Maya would love to snuggle her way into both. This sweet girl is ready to be your best friend and find the forever home she deserves. If you are interested in learning more about Maya, please call 812-988-7362 or submit an adoption application at the link below. After the application is received, an adoption counselor can reach out to you directly. https://www.bchumane.org/adoption-application/ *All dogs will be neutered, vaccinated with age-appropriate vaccines, heartworm tested, current on parasite prevention and microchipped.

Story
Sadie (aka Sadie Sue) is 4 years old. She will be 5 in Jan. She is not good with cats or chickens. She used to do well with cats but something changed and that’s one reason I need to find a new home. She’s okay with dogs depending on the dog and situation. She’s older and more relaxed and the other two we have are hyper and she gets very annoyed by it. I think being in a home with a dog her size that’s also relaxed or in a home with no other pets would be better for her. House trained. Crate trained. Knows sit and lay. Does well with invisible fence. Does well with people. Not fixed. Needs vaccines for this year. I have shot records from last year. She will love you to a fault. Most of the time she’s sitting right next to my feet. She will follow you everywhere and be your best friend. Please give this sweet girl a chance.

Story
My name is Georgie, and yes, I get HBO with those ears! I'm just 6 months old, but I've had a ruff start in life. I was abandoned on the street in a crate with no food or water. Some kind people found me, and now I'm soaking up ALL the love in my foster home! I'm the definition of a velcro dog — I will be at your side 24/7. I'll even sleep on your head if you let me. I love other dogs and older kids with dog experience and I love to play! I'm around 27 pounds right now, so I will be medium-sized when I'm full-grown. I'm super-smart and attentive and love positive reinforcement. Let's meet so you can see how fast I learn new tricks!   Request an application: caninematchmaker@yahoo.com text 317-523-4785  December 20, 2024, 5:52 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Beth (beth.lemmerman@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. Online Adoption Application ›   Spunky is super sweet and playful. Earning her name Spunky. She absolutely loves other animals, kids, toys, and life in general.  She is  housebroken and crate trained.     One of her littermates adopter’s did a dna test and they were kind enough to say we can share the results that came back mostly staffordshire and pitbull, a little boxer, and a supposedly a bit Pyrenees even. From what we can guess by their weight and growth they will be large dogs maybe somewhere in the ~50-70lbs range. At 6months old she weighs 42lbs   CARE's adoption fee is $250 for dogs/puppies. All CARE animals arrive in their forever homes current on age appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, as well as microchipped. Breeds are our best guess as is any estimated size when they are full grown.    CARE is an all-volunteer and foster-based rescue organization. We do not have a shelter facility and do not have any employees monitoring inbound applications and emails. Applications are reviewed by each animal’s volunteer foster home. It may be several days before you hear from this animal’s foster home. Thank you for your patience and understanding.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 8, 2024, 7:47 pm
