Story
Little Lovely Luna, yes little at 75ish pounds, is a super sweet and silly girl that catches the eye of people everywhere she goes. Her hippo like look and couch potato personality always collects admirers. And she is here for it! Luna is a social girl that loves meeting people, and especially loves men. Being able to spend time with the people she loves is of top priority to our beauty queen. When she isn't asking for love or giving you the most gentle kisses, she loves bully sticks to chew. Luna will take a squeaky toy but is not really sure what to do with them. Maybe shell figure it out one day! Luna knows sit and takes cookies and treats so softly. This is such an important skill when living in a home with children and she just seems to be such a natural at it. Luna likes exploring new things but prefers to have someone by her side while she does so. She is still warming up to items like vacuums, but then again we all know a dog who has an arch nemesis vacuum in their home, too! Some of her favorite activities outside of being the best house hippo there is is being in her backyard chasing cicadas. She keeps her crate clean and likes to listen to piano music while in it. Luna would do fine as a single dog, but could also share the home with a dog that is a good fit for her. Luna enjoys hanging out with her foster mom in her office, on her blanket of course. She also is child friendly and loves to snuggle with her fosters 9-year-old son. Give little Lovely Luna a chance, and her endless devotion and silly nature will keep you smiling every day. The adoption fee for Luna is $400. This donation helps to cover veterinary expenses including spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations. Wish Upon a Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, foster based animal rescue. If you would like to meet Luna please complete our adoption questionnaire at www.wishuponarescue.org/adopt. We will review your responses and be in contact to schedule a meet and greet at a time and place convenient for your family and our team members.

Story
🐾 Meet Bug: Our Adorable Foster Pup! 🐾 Bug is a 1 year old pittie (~50 lbs) looking for his forever home. Bug loves a good couch snuggle and a play in the yard. His favorite game “Bug Tug” (tug of war)! His foster mom calls him love bug and stink bug. Bug is currently in a home with two dogs but would be content to have all the attention to himself. The Good Stuff: 🐶 Medium Activity level: Bug likes to play in the yard but isn’t super high energy 🧑‍🎓Star Student: Bug loves learning and thrives when doing his training exercises. He is super smart and loves puzzle games 🥰 Snuggle Bug: Never be alone again! He will be right by your side to relax and snuggle Skills he Knows: 🪑 Sit ⬇ Down 🐾 Name Recognition 📣 Come Skills in Progress: 🔄 Trade ⬇️ Off Considerations: 🐶 Crate: Bug is crate trained but tends to bark before settling so apartments won’t be a good fit. 🐕‍🦺 Work in Progress: Future training will be needed, but we're already working on basics. 😅 Playmates: Bug would be happy being the only dog or with a playmate with similar energy 🐾 Bug is jumpy when greeting people and playing. He would be best in a home with older (10+) children Bug had a rough start at life and cannot wait to find his forever home. He continues to thrive in his foster home now that he sees what the good life is! Bug is potty trained and crate trained. This sweet boy would make a great addition to any family looking for a forever companion. The adoption fee for Bug is $400. Story
I may have to give tyrion to a better home due to having to leave for college. Tyrion was adopted after being on the street for the first year of his life. He is very misunderstood, he is an absolutely amazing and loving dog- he is dog reactive but he is selective, he gets along with his brother (black lab) but not his other brother (mix) he is good with people but does not like sudden movements and can be agitated by kids and other dogs easily. He does alright with cats and has never injured one. He doesnt like kids other people and animals in his face besides his primary owner, he can be very defensive and will guard his family. He is not a bad dog but he needs someone who understands him and his needs as a reactive dog. He is very anxious and has to be kenneled while you are gone, he will get into stuff if unsupervised and not taken care of.

Story
We are needing to rehome our sweet Phoebe. Phoebe was born (we were told) in Feb 2018, but we have no official documentation of her birth date. She is 6.5 years old and weighs about 50 pounds. When we adopted her we were told she is a border collie/boxer mix. We did get her DNA tested a few years ago because we were curious and the results are shown in the pictures. She has 2 sides to her: cuddly, lazy, couch potato and happy, excited, puppy-like-energy. If you want a cuddle dog, she’s the dog for you. She is the cuddliest, sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. She loves curling up on the couch or in bed with you. On the flip side, she loves to run and play and is pure muscle. She has been known to jump and climb! We haven’t had the time the past few years since having babies to give her to attention, training, and exercise that she needs and deserves.
