Story
🌟 Meet Chance! 🌟 I’m Chance, a 1- to 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix who’s full of energy and love! I already know how to sit on command, and when you call my name, I’ll come running with a big smile. I absolutely adore humans and get along great with kids. I have the playful spirit of a puppy, and going on walks is one of my favorite things to do. After I’ve zoomed around and had my fun, I’m all about cuddling on the couch and binge-watching your favorite shows. I’m still working on my house manners, but don’t worry—my belly band helps keep things tidy while I learn. I’m a fast learner and eager to please, so I know I’ll have it mastered in no time. If you’re looking for an affectionate, energetic buddy to keep up with your active lifestyle, I’m your guy! Let’s make some memories together. Apply to meet me today! Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process. Please email adopt@safehavendogsIL.org for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Story
Meet Dobby (formerly Acorn) Say hello to Dobby! This adorable 5-month-old pup earned his new name because of his uncanny resemblance to the beloved elf from Harry Potter. But don’t worry—this little guy doesn’t need socks to feel free—just a forever family to love him! Dobby is a sweet and well-behaved puppy who has made great strides with potty pad training and is learning to go outside, though he’s still working on being fully housebroken. He’s already mastered the “Sit” and “No” commands, proving he’s a quick learner. What makes Dobby extra special is his wonderful puppy manners. He doesn’t chew on furniture and is content with his toys and chewies. That said, he might be tempted by a cozy pair of slippers if given the chance! Dobby loves playing fetch with his foster parents and romping around outside with his four furry foster siblings. But his absolute favorite activity? Snuggling up for hours on end. He’s the ultimate cuddle companion, ready to warm your heart and lap. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and oh-so-adorable addition to your family, Dobby might just be your perfect match! 🐾 Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). .
