Story
Meet Stella Hi I’m Stella! I’m an 8 week old, 8 pound, female mixed breed puppy. My foster mom says I’m a sweet, cute girl who could fit in anywhere! I currently live in a foster home with 5 other dogs, including two other puppies and 3 other dogs of ages 3-15.5. I get along with all of them! I have not been around cats. I love all people including kids! I love to give kisses. I’m a playful puppy who loves to play but also loves to cuddle. I am working on potty training but I am an 8 week old puppy after all and will need someone who is patient to continue to work on training me in all aspects. I sleep in a crate with my other foster siblings and sleep quietly at night. I haven’t slept alone but I’m sure I could adjust! I am a beautiful puppy with pretty eyes and a soft brown and white coat. I have short legs and will most likely be a medium sized dog when grown. I would be a good match for any family! Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process. Please email adopt@safehavendogsIL.org for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to refuse adoption of any dog or puppy to any applicant (adopter) for any reason.

Story
Roo is a VERY loving, sweet, people and dog friendly 10month old neutered male looking for his forever home. He arrived from Beaumont Texas on 9/28/24. If you are looking for a grade-A snuggler who loves to give sweet kisses Roo is your boy!! Roo is a smart boy who is eager to please and responds well to praise, treats and resident dog’s corrections! He already keeps his crate clean and is good when left out of crate with proper exercise and brain stimulation! He’s even mastered potty training with a structured routine! He’s a healthy boy who loves food and does not have any allergies! Did you say Squirrel! Chase! Run!? Roo loves a chance to chase after a squirrel or doggie friend at the park! In fact, he would love his own fenced in yard! Typical, to his breed, he likes to mouth his friends ankles to get them to play! Roo is very athletic & can jump really high when excited. Because he is a young strong boy, he would benefit for continued leash training. Roo has learned growing up in the shelter to self-play with toys of any kind and he has yet to destroy them! This boy loves adventure and riding in cars, but doesn’t quite have perfect manners. Roo’s ideal home would include: an active individual/ couple or family with dog-savvy kids, lots of toys/stuffies and another playful doggo (or 2). Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . Story
I may have to give tyrion to a better home due to having to leave for college. Tyrion was adopted after being on the street for the first year of his life. He is very misunderstood, he is an absolutely amazing and loving dog- he is dog reactive but he is selective, he gets along with his brother (black lab) but not his other brother (mix) he is good with people but does not like sudden movements and can be agitated by kids and other dogs easily. He does alright with cats and has never injured one. He doesnt like kids other people and animals in his face besides his primary owner, he can be very defensive and will guard his family. He is not a bad dog but he needs someone who understands him and his needs as a reactive dog. He is very anxious and has to be kenneled while you are gone, he will get into stuff if unsupervised and not taken care of.
