Story
Hi. My name is Lennox and I am looking for a loving home. I am an American Staffordshire Terrier. I am between 7 and 9 years old. I had a loving home but my dad passed away. His family can’t care for me so I need a home as quickly as possible. Here is what the family says about me: “Lenny is a very sweet loving and cuddly boy. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. He just wants love and attention. And all the treats of course. It kills me to have to surrender him, I've fallen head over heels in love with him, but we unfortunately can't keep him in our home.” Please help me find a wonderful home. My adoption fee is $75. I am good with adults, kids, cats, and other dogs. I would be perfect in your home. If you are interested in Lennox, please visit www.pawscare.org, and click on the online application. We require the application to be filled out and approved prior to meeting him as all of our animals are in private foster homes. Please fill out all information as we cannot process incomplete applications. A phone number for your veterinarian is a must. We CANNOT process your application without a vet phone number.
We'll also keep you updated on Lennox (Lenny)'s adoption status with email updates.

Story
Lenny was found as a stray by a family member. My father in law took him in and took wonderful care of him. Even being found as a stray, there has never been any aggressive behaviors displayed, and he been taken out in public around other people, children, dogs and animals. He a very laid back, loving cuddle bug. Lennox is perfect for any type of family, whether you're a chill one that stays home a lot or goes on adventures. All he cares about is getting love and attention. And treats! He's very well behaved out in public and on leash. He does stop to sniff a lot, and pee on everything outside, but he's a boy! My father in law passed away almost 3 years ago. The house was willed to us and at the time, Lenny wasn't in the will, but resided in the home, therefore he became ours. We can't keep him in our home as we already have 3 dogs with dog aggression. We had a tenant in the home, taking care of him, but now we are selling the house. He's estimated between 7-9 years old.

Story
"My name is Luke and I came here on 8/17 after being abandoned. Although it was sad, I think it was for the best, because I am a very smart dog and need to be in a home that can give me the exercise, time and attention I long for. I'm a beautiful brindle boy who is a great dog. I'm not a digger or one that destroys stuff. I'm not a barky or mouthy dog. In fact, I'm pretty chill in my pen. Even though my owners left me, I came here already knowing how to sit on command! I really want to please and love training! The volunteer trainer here says I'm a good dog and learning so much! I know how to sit, walk on a leash and am very treat motivated! I'll do best in a home who will be consistent and remind me about the proper way to get attention. I'm a young, energetic boy who needs calm, consistent, structured guidance. I had a sleep-over with one family and I did great with their small kids. I was fine sleeping in a crate there, and also did good with their pig, chickens, and dog (I like to play with other rough-and tumble dogs.) I LOVE to be rubbed under my chin, on my chest and around my ears. I hope for a family who will take me on walks, have a fenced yard or like to go on long walks. All I want is love and a chance. I have a heart of gold. I really do." BONUS: The dog trainer will give FREE training lessons to Luke's lucky adopter. This is something we will require, to ensure a long, happy life for Luke and his family! ........ We do ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Story
I have had Daisy for nearly 5 years- she was a stray and I adopted her from a shelter in Kansas City.. My husband and I got married a little less than 6 months ago and with that came a combination of 5 kids, 3 dogs, and 2 cats. Unfortunately it is all just too much to handle and my poor dogs are getting the short stick of it all. There are some also some personal health issues involved as well. I would love to see all three go to a new home together, but that is not required. Daisy is the typical silly pitty who really likes sunbathing and destroying toys. She has separation anxiety and is a mastermind at getting out of crates. She is the most loving dog I have ever met and it breaks my heart that I am even considering this. She is wonderful with all people and animals and does know some commands. She likes to talk and bark and has never shown any signs of aggression. She is somewhat leash trained but is convinced she belongs on a bobsled team.
