Story
Our Kirby girl is the sweet momma of our two puppies, Mickey and Minnie. Kirby is sweet as pie and loves kids. She needs a slow introduction but would do well with a male dog. She was nervous when she first moved into her foster home so it took her some time to warm up to her foster brother, but now she loves him! Email us at bombshellbullies@hotmail.com to see if Kirby would be a good match for you.

*SPONSORED ADOPTION FEE*FAST FACTS:*4 Years Old - 60 Pounds*Medium Energy: Mix of Playful and Cuddly*Loves to Play Fetch and Snuggle With Her Person*Prefers a Calm, Quiet Home*Older Children*Only Pet*Potty & Crate Trained*Fenced Yard PreferredBIO:Aloha! My name is Rainbow and I am a beautiful, loyal lady who would love a calm forever home where I can be the center of attention. I am happiest when I am with my people (I will lay right at your feet, so be careful not to trip haha!) and adore lots of quality cuddle time on the couch. I am told I am a good mix of playful and lazy: I enjoy a good romp around the yard to chase my favorite squeaky ball or some sticks, then will stretch out in the shade or head back inside to the couch for a snooze. My ideal home will be a quiet adult-only home or one with older children who understand I like a calm lifestyle, and I would also do best as your only furry friend. I don't mean to brag too much, but I am a bit of a smartypants and am already potty and crate trained. I have been through a lot of training and also know a whole bunch of commands, too, including sit, spin, and other fun tricks. Learning is fun and classes are great for establishing our bond, so maybe we could sign up for some more training together? If you promise to love me and let me curl up next to you on the couch, I promise to be the sweetest, most devoted best furry friend you can find!If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.

FAST FACTS:*2 years old - 55 pounds *Playful, Energetic, Affectionate*Patient, Dog-Savvy Adopters Wanted*Older Kid Friendly; Selective with Men *Dog Friendly (loves to romp with dog friends!)*Working on Potty Training *Not Crate-Trained (but does fine when left alone)*Training Required BIO:Hi there, I'm Lilah, a sweet young dog in search of a loving forever home to call my own. My early life wasn't easy, but thanks to my foster family's TLC and patience, I'm learning what it means to be in a loving family. I'm a playful, dog-friendly gal who enjoys romping around the backyard with my FTF friend Avril or running around the house playing with my plush toys. I'm known to get the zoomies and run around the backyard at breakneck speed...foster mom says I haven't figured out where my brakes are yet, so I'd likely do best with older children who won't topple over if I zoom into them. Once I've run out all my puppy energy, I love to shower my people with affectionate hugs, kisses and snuggles. Work from home? I'm a great officemate who will curl up for a nap next to you or quietly chew on a bone while you take work calls. While I'm still mastering the art of potty training and perfecting my leash manners, I'm making huge strides every day and soaking up all the guidance and patience my foster family has to offer. One thing to know about me is that I've had some tough experiences with men in the past, but I'm working hard to overcome my fears and rebuild trust. With gentle encouragement and understanding (and lots of treats!), I've already made remarkable strides befriending my Foster Dad, showing just how resilient and brave I can be. I'm also a little unsure of crowded, loud spaces, so I'll look to my humans to help me gain confidence before I'm ready for adventures to busy parks or large gatherings. With the guidance of my foster family, I'm learning to let go of fear and embrace the beauty of connection. If you're an experienced pet parent with a big heart and plenty of patience, I know we could be the perfect match. Fill out an application today and let's create a future filled with tail wags, sloppy kisses, and unconditional love! Story
BIO:*3 Years Old - 45 Pounds*Gentle, Calm, and Loving*Low/Medium Energy*Kid Friendly*Dog Friendly - All Sizes*Working on Potty & Crate Training*Recovering From Heartworm Treatment*Training RequiredBIO:Sweet Sister here, looking for a family to pamper me and give me all the love I have long dreamed about. You see, I was rescued from a hoarding situation where I was kept in a small crate near numerous other dogs and cats; our "owner" claimed she couldn't let us out because she didn't have a fenced yard. I am a very affectionate gal and being locked up on my own really made me sad. But the past is now far behind me, and I am absolutely loving rescue life! I get to nap on a comfy couch with my foster momma and soak up all the pets and cuddles I desire! I also get to play with new doggie friends and believe me when I say I love getting to interact with them! I get along with doggies of all sizes, and I adore my people more than anything, it makes me so happy to be near my person so I can hear them say what a good girl I am. Because of my lack of care in my previous life, I was heartworm positive and am now recovering from treatment to kill the icky parasites. My recovery requires staying calm and relaxing - don't tempt me with a good time, my cozy dog bed is amazing! I have also discovered toys and enjoy chewing on them to keep myself entertained. I am working hard on potty training and don't love my crate (you can imagine why), but I am a good houseguest and am quickly learning how to live the spoiled, happy-home life. My adopters will need to sign me up for training, and I think it will be a fun opportunity for us to learn and bond together; I enjoy any activity as long as I am with someone who loves me. Do you think you could love me? I hope so, and I hope you fill out an adoption application! If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Story
Bear is a very handsome, young boy looking for a forever home of his own. We believe he is a Boxer mix, sporting a very attractive dark brindle coat. We estimate Bear’s date of birth at February 10, 2021. At the time of this posting he is just under two years old. He is about 60 lbs. Bear loves people and he also loves eating almost anything. He is not so much a chewer, as a dog who likes to eat rocks, sticks, toys. As such, his new family will need to be vigilant to ensure Bear does not get himself into trouble, ingesting non-food items! Bear is active and energetic, typical of a big, young dog, and sometimes can get carried away with his play. He loves running in the secure, fenced yard of his foster home. He keeps himself entertained (but, watch out for him eating rocks, sticks, etc!!); he would not do well in a dog park or day care. We suggest he be an only dog. Given his size and energy level, Bear would not be an ideal canine companion for younger children. We expect children over the age of 12 would be ok. And of course, an all-adult home would be perfect for Bear! An ideal home for Bear is one in which he can thrive as an only dog, with a family experienced with larger dogs who sometimes can get out of hand. The family will also need to be vigilant when it comes to Bear’s tendency to seek out interesting things to eat. As is the case with all young, larger dogs, Bear would greatly benefit from obedience training which can also be a bonding experience with his new family. No doubt, Bear has the potential to evolve into the perfect pup, but is looking for that family willing to commit to him and provide him the forever home he deserves. Bear is fully vetted, up to date on all vaccinations, neutered & microchipped and on year-round heartworm prevention. To learn how you can add this handsome young boy to your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895. BAARK is located in the Chicago area and adopt our dogs only local to the area.
