Story
Found this beautiful doggie on the street of a nice neighbor about five months ago. Nobody has claimed him and I’m running out of time. He’s playful, loving and full of energy. He will thrive with a more active lifestyles that includes daily exercise. Luke is such a sweet boy and he gets along well with other dogs. I already have a dog in the house and unfortunately, I can’t keep him much longer due to landlord restrictions. He is current with all of his shots and has been neutered. Veterinarian gave clean bill of health. Still getting used to potty training, but does want to learn. He is food motivated and will flourish with more training. He needs to find his forever family!

Story
Rosamund is the best cuddler ever! She is a sweet, very affectionate dog who loves her humans very much! She knows sit, wait, and is good on a leash. She loves treats, carrots, and doggie ice cream! Rosamund enjoys laying next to you on the couch and sitting by you outside. Rosamund needs to be the only dog in the house, and would love it if her human didn't have to share attention with anyone else. Rosamund was adopted from a county shelter in May, and she's had 8 sessions with a positive reinforcement trainer. She is eager to please and laid-back, but she does not get along with my older dog despite our efforts. It is for this reason I need to find a new home for her.

Story
Hi! I'm Jackson. I was adopted from Second Chance as a puppy from a pretty rough living conditon. Over the year, my family realized that I would do best in a household that is calm and quiet, preferrably with just adults. So here I am back at Second Chance trying again to find the prefect pawrents.  I am very shy and just a tiny bit scared of my own shawdow, why does it keep following me? Anyways, I warm up with time and understanding, I am very smart and know the command sit. I have great manners if I say so myself.  I would do best in a household with no cats and no children under 13. I can be a bit dog-selective. I will need pawrents who understand that I am shy and busy/loud environments make me very nervous. I will thrive in a stable environment, with a yard of my own. Walks are fine from time to time, but sometimes loud noises, falling leaves, or something out of place, like a repair van, make walks for me a bit stressful. Therefore, a fenced-in yard will be required to adopt me. I've had all my shots, I've been neutered, and am ready to go home. I also come with a registered microchip and a full set of medical records (one copy for you and one for my new vet).  If you are interested in meeting me, please complete an adoption application online. Upon pre-approval, someone will reach out to set up a time for you to come meet me. Requirements to adopt me: - Adopter must be 25 years or older - Must own home, no renters - Must have a fenced-in yard - No children in the home under 13 years old ##1562218##

Story
I took Sandy in, in 2020 after my cousin passed. She is now four years old. Sandy is a sweet, loving dog whose favorite things include butt scratches, blanket burritos and of course, anything with sand. I am looking for an experienced dog owner. Sandy is dog selective and has leash reactivity but I believe something like this can be improved with diligent training. Sandy is eager to please with training and she is a fast learner. Sandy is currently living in Apopka, Fl with my father. This living situation is temporary and she desperately needs a loving home. I currently reside in Brooklyn, NY and unfortunately, I am unable to take her. It breaks my heart having to do this but I don’t w any adoption fee money, I just want Sandy to have to the best life possible. For the right person, Sandy will be a loving companion who just wants to give you kisses and she is always ready for play. She is also used to long car rides. I wish I could write more. Sandy is truly a wonderful dog.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Resident since April 2018Hello, my name is Amora. I have been told how beautiful I am, and I cannot deny that it's the truth:)  I have been at PRBJ for over 6 years waiting for my forever home.  I know that is a really long time, more than half of my life. I am a great girl just ask anyone at the rescue center. I need time to get to know a person and trust them, but once I do, I will love you forever. I never forget those that love me.  I am a little older now and really would just like a home that I can relax with my human. I am good on the leash, but really don't like going too far...but maybe if I had a great person to walk me and keep me safe, I would enjoy walking.  I DO NOT like other animals (cats, dogs, birds, squirrels, etc), so my ideal home would need to pet free.... although I think I wouldn't mind a fish. I DO NOT like new people, so I would need a home that only has 1-2 ADULTS ONLY with very limited traffic in order to keep me and them safe. Please don't let any of this discourage you from wanting to adopt me. I know the right person is out there and the staff at the center is willing to work with us to ensure I get to the right home. It will take time for you to come in and meet me a few times, but I can guarantee I am worth it.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 14, 2024, 2:31 pm

Story
Katie is a young, energetic dog who loves tug of war and laying in the sun. I recently accepted a job that requires us to relocate out west, and we will not be able to take her with us. Katie is kind and gentle with both of our kids. We have a 7 year old boy, who Katie chases around the house. And a 1 year old daughter. Katie enjoys laying on the ground near our daughter, watching her curiously. Katie loves to go on runs, occasionally I ride my bike around the neighborhood while she runs on her leash beside me. Katie is highly treat motivated, and has been easy to train basic commands. Shortly after we brought Katie home, she was attacked by another dog of similar size while I was walking her in the neighborhood, she has been distrustful of dogs ever since, and will become aggressive when other dogs get too close. We love Katie and want nothing more than for her to find a loving household to give her the attention and exercise she deserves

Story
Jewel is an amazing 5 year old Boxer girl - she even has the happy boxi nubby tail. She has been a family pet her whole life and has great house manners. She is housebroken and polite and has a great medium energy. Her owner went through some personal challenges and a family friend took her in but cannot keep her - she does not get along well with the other dogs in their home. Jewel isn't difficult to walk or manage out and about when she sees other dogs, she just has no idea how to politely greet new dog friends. With continued work on her social skills she has a lot of potential to do really well with dogs in the future. Continued training support will be provided for her at no cost to her new adopter. If you're looking for a spoiled only fur child for your family, this girl is seriously wonderful - pre-trained and so well behaved, full of love and silliness. She has a very typical Boxer playful, happy spirit. Great family pet for a single pet home.  Adoption fee: $150 - Dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines and come with free training support. ##1876503##

Story
Meet Daphne (DaphPunk), she’s is 5 years old and I’ve had her since she was 6months. She’s potty trained. Knows commands sit, chill (lay/down), and paw. Very energetic!! She’s well with dogs her size and larger. Older kids 10+ are fine. But younger I am not quite sure since she likes to stand on her twos paws and hug every chance she gets. She also gets energetic quick. She knows to get out of the kitchen as well. No problems with her chewing up furniture or shoes.
