Story
Scheana has been our baby since she was four weeks old. She is now six years old. She is super loyal and a great companion. We did not socialize her as a puppy and she did spend most of her life indoors. We did get a husky and she got along great with him for the past four years. Her shots are not fully up-to-date, but she’s up-to-date on her rabies. We are looking for somebody that can take her in the next couple weeks as we are having a family emergency and moving out of the country.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Resident since April 2018Hello, my name is Amora. I have been told how beautiful I am, and I cannot deny that it's the truth:)  I have been at PRBJ for over 6 years waiting for my forever home.  I know that is a really long time, more than half of my life. I am a great girl just ask anyone at the rescue center. I need time to get to know a person and trust them, but once I do, I will love you forever. I never forget those that love me.  I am a little older now and really would just like a home that I can relax with my human. I am good on the leash, but really don't like going too far...but maybe if I had a great person to walk me and keep me safe, I would enjoy walking.  I DO NOT like other animals (cats, dogs, birds, squirrels, etc), so my ideal home would need to pet free.... although I think I wouldn't mind a fish. I DO NOT like new people, so I would need a home that only has 1-2 ADULTS ONLY with very limited traffic in order to keep me and them safe. Please don't let any of this discourage you from wanting to adopt me. I know the right person is out there and the staff at the center is willing to work with us to ensure I get to the right home. It will take time for you to come in and meet me a few times, but I can guarantee I am worth it.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 2:38 pm

Story
Say hello to Lacey! This stylish pup takes her sweet time getting to know new people, but once she warms up, she`ll shower you with attention. She`s a bit of a hoarder, loving to hide her favorite stuffy toys in the yard for later discovery - it`s like she`s trying to solve a puzzle! As she settles into her new home, Lacey needs time to build trust, so her adopters should be patient and let her take the reins. She adores being the center of attention and will thrive as the only furry friend in the house. Unfortunately, cats are not her cup of tea, so a no cat home is just right for her! Lacey would do best with no children in the household, as well.***Thanks to generous donors, Lacey will go home with a FREE adoption success kit (includes a crate, collar, leash, and other goodies)!!!***

Story
Hey there, I`m Grover, and I`m not your typical dog. At first glance, you`ll notice that I`m larger than life in every sense. I`m a bundle of joy packed into a giant, furry frame, and I`m ready to share my boundless energy and affection with you! My size may be imposing, but don`t let it fool you. I`m a gentle giant with a playful spirit! Sure, I can be a bit clumsy at times, and I might not fully grasp just how big I am, but I`m working on it! Once you get to know me, you`ll quickly see that I`m a loyal and devoted companion.***Thanks to generous donors, Grover`s adoption is SPONSORED!!***

Story
***LOCATED IN HOWEY IN THE HILLS, FL*** Meet Brie- INSTANT COMPANION!   This baby girl was 'DUMPED' - a Good Sam found her in the woods, in deplorable condition and took her to his vet for a bath, a microchip-check and an overall check-up.  She was chipped but the contact info was obsolete, and records reflected this same family as having dumped another dog. Brie has a sweet temperament - is gentle, loves toys - has the heart and activity level of a 4-year old, but the Vet is guessing her to be around 7-8 years old.  She is a Boxer/Terrier mix, and weighs about 55 lbs.  She is in a temporary foster home with several cats - (confined because of the cats) and a couple other dogs who are not accepting of her, so we are anxious to get her into a new home - SOON.     She get along well with calmer dogs - but NO CATS!  Not sure about kids.   Her foster folks do not want to turn her in to a shelter for fear she will be euthanized - so we offered to help re-home her. Seems the shelters in Central FL are all maxed out.   She is happy, healthy, up to date on all vaccines - spayed & chipped.     Her adoption fee will be $150.  She will come to you fully vetted, vaccinated, spayed and chipped.   If you are interested, please download an application from:  www.gratefulpaws.org or email jmilbyer@gmail.com for one.   NOTE: Adoption/rehoming fees are applied towards the vet bill: exam, blood tests, vaccinations, fecal, worming, spay/neuter, dental if necessary, and a microchip. There is rarely anything left over, but if that happens, the monies get applied to the next or previous pet - who may have had to have an x-ray, be groomed or have a dental.August 21, 2024, 12:12 am

Story
Regan is a female Boxer mix.  She is 2 years old, spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped, and weighs 50 lbs.  Regan does not get along with all dogs and sometimes plays "too hard" with other dogs.  Regan is not aggressive at all with people and loves everyone, but she should be an only dog.  She is more comfortable with women but can learn to trust a man, she's a bit afraid of men at first meeting.  To be on the safe side, no young children.  Regan was found emaciated as a pup.  But she has grown to be a super loyal, fun and smart dog, she needs a stable, safe environment, a fenced-in yard, with no other dogs, cats or children around and she will continue to flourish!  Her adoption donation is $200 which includes her spay, vaccinations and microchip. She is currently in a foster home and we are requesting an approved application prior to a meet and greet. Regan has so much love to share with her family! https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/store/p31/Regan.html We are only able to adopt within the state of Florida. We have a page on our website that explains our adoption process, and contains a link to our adoption application.
