Story
Starr is a love bug and loves people, but is still a great watch dog. She loves to get out and get exercise. She was rescued from the local pound. She has a crate, she isn’t crazy about being in it, but when given a nice treat she deals with it when she needs to be left alone. She’s very eager to please and knows sit, shake, other paw and down. She has lots of energy and thinks it’s her job to chase stray cats.

Story
*** COURTESY POST**** NOT AT THE SHELTER**** Oreo is a sweet and affectionate 7-year-old spayed Pit Lab Collie mix with a beautiful black-and-white coat. This friendly girl has lived harmoniously with dogs, cats, kids, and even rabbits! She’s potty trained, crate trained, and has no issues with food or toys, making her an easy addition to any loving home. Oreo’s current owner, unfortunately, can no longer care for her due to health and financial challenges but is dedicated to finding Oreo the perfect forever home. Oreo does experience some separation anxiety when left alone, but with a toy or bone, she stays happily crated for hours. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, Oreo could be the perfect fit! To meet her, please contact Kathleen at Kcreger@balancemgmt.com or call 510-542-4104. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Story
Chowder is a deaf pitbull mix. She is SWEET, and well trained using sign language. Her favorite sign is a thumbs up, which says she's being a good girl. She loves working for treats and learns quickly. Chowder is healthy, two years old, 40#, spayed, and up to date on all of her shots, and heart-worm prevention. Genetic and breed testing showed no markers for genetic diseases or allergies, and she is mostly pit. I'll provide paperwork. She has graduated from beginner and intermediate dog school, and knows some basic ASL. I’ve worked closely with a trainer at dog school, and in the home, who has offered to provide training to whoever adopts Chowder, to ensure she and her new person/family learn each other well and achieve a sustained adoption. Chowder's guarding behaviors can lead to her attacking other dogs. She loves to play, and with muzzle training (to ensure safety), she would love to meet dog friends, but needs to be the only dog in her furrever home.

Story
Adoption fee partially sponsored by Petfinder Foundation Miami!!!! Miami came to Butte Humane Society recently as an owner surrender, she is a 3-year-old American Bully who has gone through an adventure to make her way to Chico CA. Originally, she was picked up as a stray in Southern California. A gentleman saw her on a website for another shelter and she was at risk of being euthanized. With time running out the gentleman had Miami transported to him in order to save her life. Due to her strength and size her rescuer could no longer care for her and surrendered her to Butte Humane Society to find a younger owner. Miami loves people and loves to share the couch with you. She is used to sleeping in a crate at night and doesn't have that big of a toy drive. She is ready to meet you and become a part of your family, come down to see her at Butte Humane Society today. All animals adopted from Butte Humane Society are evaluated by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered, provided with vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and have received heartworm, flea/tick preventatives prior to adoption.

To apply or see more of Honey, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/4/22/honey-b WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FOSTER, FOSTER TO ADOPT OR ADOPTER ASAP! PLEASE complete our foster or adoption form to get started! Already have an app on file? Email info@heartsforpawsrescue.com Hey there, it's Honey B, a sweet senior girl with a heart full of love! I'm currently kicking back in Davis, soaking up the good vibes after being rescued from the Stanislaus shelter in Modesto. Let me paint you a picture of my perfect day—I'm a snuggly couch potato, living my best life during the day. But watch out — I’ll get my zoomies in before bedtime and be sure to make you chuckle. My hobbies include playing with my toys, being the little spoon during snuggle sessions, soaking up belly rubs, and catching some rays while napping in the sunlight. Outdoorsy? That's me! I'm a fantastic walking and jogging companion, matching your pace with ease. Now, let's talk about my cheese-powered progress. I get a bit excited when spotting other dogs during walks, but thanks to some cheesy motivation, I'm making great strides. What kind of cheese you may ask? I don’t discriminate! I am housetrained and trustworthy when left alone! While rapidly de-stuffing toys is a talent of mine, fear not, I leave the human things alone … BORINGGGG! Meeting new people? I can be a tad shy at first, but give me a little time, and my cute personality shines through. I've even mastered the art of shaking paws! I've lived harmoniously with another dog in my previous foster home, but I'm a bit selective, preferring slow intros and other laid-back doggy pals. Now, here's the thing—I've got a bit too much curiosity when it comes to cats, so a cat-free zone is best. Ready for a snuggly, playful companion who knows how to charm with a paw shake? That's me—Honey B, ready to add sweetness to your life. Let's make some memories together in a home filled with love and laughter! 🐾 Honey B's adoption donation is SPONSORED! Includes spay/addendum; rabies, dhpp, bordatella, microchip, and up to date on monthly preventatives. Honey is being fostered in GRASS VALLEY, CA ESTIMATED DOB: 10/1/2015 Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more!
