BEHAVIOR: I am full of energy and eager to learn basic skills such as sitting and walking on leash. I have made some friends during my stay and do better with a pup matching my energy.MEDICAL: I am fully vaccinated and waiting to get neuteredADOPTION CONSIDERATIONS: I am looking for a high energy family that can help me burn off some energy. I may do well with other dogs with a slow and proper introduction. May do best with a dog around my size and energy because I have a lot of it. I will need a home that can help me learn some skills such as sit and learning to walk well on the leash.

Story
Eli is a rescue dog. He’s a Corgi, Staffordshire Terrier, Boston Terrier, Border Collie, Basset Hound mix. He came to us when he was a few months old. He is a happy, energetic dog. He loves to play fetch and just hang out with his humans. He’s friendly and loves attention but, is too rambunctious for small children! He gets along with our older dog but not our grand dogs. Eli needs a home with no small children and no other pets. He is very lovable and does make a great companion for the right person or persons!

Story
Meet Carrot—a stunning 2-year-old, super mutt! His primary breeds are Staffordshire and Pit Bull, but his unique tan merle coloring comes from Catahoula Leopard Dog genes in his DNA. He is smart, food motivated, and eager to please, making him so much fun to train. So far, his repertoire includes sit, shake, spin, down, and saddle. His previous owner reported he is potty trained, mostly crate trained, and happy to greet you with cuddles & kisses when you come home.    He is an active young boy that thrives when mentally stimulated or taken for outside adventures—especially car rides to Dutch Bros for pup cups. Carrot was returned to the shelter due to incompatibility with cats, so his dream home is cat-free. We believe he has potential to live with a chill and friendly dog. Ideally, his future dog sibling will teach him how to play! Though his first home was not the right match, we are optimistic his furever home is just around the corner.    If you are interested in meeting Carrot and have another dog (or more), bring them by for a meet-and-greet! Drop by the shelter during our walk-in hours on Fridays and Saturdays between 11am and 3pm or email adopt@yoloshelter.org to schedule an appointment.   His $50 adoption fee is sponsored by Blue Note Brewing Co.!   All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. To apply or see more of Honey, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/4/22/honey-b WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FOSTER, FOSTER TO ADOPT OR ADOPTER ASAP! PLEASE complete our foster or adoption form to get started! Already have an app on file? Email info@heartsforpawsrescue.com Hey there, it's Honey B, a sweet senior girl with a heart full of love! I'm currently kicking back in Davis, soaking up the good vibes after being rescued from the Stanislaus shelter in Modesto. Let me paint you a picture of my perfect day—I'm a snuggly couch potato, living my best life during the day. But watch out — I’ll get my zoomies in before bedtime and be sure to make you chuckle. My hobbies include playing with my toys, being the little spoon during snuggle sessions, soaking up belly rubs, and catching some rays while napping in the sunlight. Outdoorsy? That's me! I'm a fantastic walking and jogging companion, matching your pace with ease. Now, let's talk about my cheese-powered progress. I get a bit excited when spotting other dogs during walks, but thanks to some cheesy motivation, I'm making great strides. What kind of cheese you may ask? I don’t discriminate! I am housetrained and trustworthy when left alone! While rapidly de-stuffing toys is a talent of mine, fear not, I leave the human things alone … BORINGGGG! Meeting new people? I can be a tad shy at first, but give me a little time, and my cute personality shines through. I've even mastered the art of shaking paws! I've lived harmoniously with another dog in my previous foster home, but I'm a bit selective, preferring slow intros and other laid-back doggy pals. Now, here's the thing—I've got a bit too much curiosity when it comes to cats, so a cat-free zone is best. Ready for a snuggly, playful companion who knows how to charm with a paw shake? That's me—Honey B, ready to add sweetness to your life. Let's make some memories together in a home filled with love and laughter! 🐾 Honey B's adoption donation is SPONSORED! Includes spay/addendum; rabies, dhpp, bordatella, microchip, and up to date on monthly preventatives. Honey is being fostered in GRASS VALLEY, CA ESTIMATED DOB: 10/1/2015 Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more! Story
To apply or see more of Hammy, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/11/18/hammy I'm Hammy and the humans say I’m a sensational boy…whatever that means. I was rescued from Solano County Animal Control, and life has been looking up ever since! First things first, I'm a pro on the leash making me the perfect companion for those leisurely strolls. Oh, and did I mention balls? I'm head over paws IN LOVE with them! If you're on the hunt for a dog with a genuine passion for balls, well, you just found me! I'm not just a ball enthusiast. People big and small? They’re all pals in my book. I also get along with my doggy foster sibling. While I’m fine living with other dogs, I don’t really get the whole playing thing so if you’re looking for a rowdy playmate for your dog, that may not be me. Now, here's the thing – I’m a little embarrassed, but I've got a bit of hair loss on my backside. I’ve been reassured that it will improve with some TLC. If you think you can welcome me (along with all my balls for fetchin’), I would be so pleased. I can’t wait to meet ya! Hammy is being fostered in SACRAMENTO, CA Estimated DOB: 8/29/2017 $125 Adoption Donation includes: Neuter, Rabies, DHPP, Bordatella, and microchip Interested in adopting? 1. Story
Hi, I`m Bayla! I`m a little shy at first, but give me a moment of your time and my sweet, gentle nature will shine through. I love to play, too! There`s nothing better than an exciting game of fetch or tug-of-war. When I`ve had my fill of fun, I`ll sit quietly by your side, providing comfort and companionship. I`m the kind of dog who can make a house feel like a home. I`m looking for someone who can appreciate my gentle spirit and playful heart. My best friend, Frankie, is so special to me. I`d love nothing more than to find a loving family with her at my side. She may be small, but she helps me feel calm and safe. Frankie and I will be required to go to our new home together. We may do well with other dogs in our new home after a slow introduction. Due to my shy nature, my friends at the shelter recommend that any children in my new home are age 10 or older so they can understand my needs.Adoption Price: $250 + $1* Perfect Pair with Frankie 57858476

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Norah is approximately 7 months old. She came from the Stockton shelter where one of our RPNC volunteers first heard about her and started fostering her. Norah was a medical foster due to her having a prolapsed rectum. She's had two surgeries to repair her colon and after a long recovery period Norah is ready to find her forever home. Norah will need to stay on special food through her life and it will be important for her new family to understand her medical condition. There is a possibility that she will need to have another surgery by a specialist. However, her foster has been able to control her condition with diet and we are hopeful her new family will be able to do the same. Norah is a typical 6 month old puppy. She loves to play, play, play. She currently lives with 2 other dogs; a younger dog and an older dog. She does great with both. Plays with the younger dog and respects the older dog. She also lives with a cat, that she likes to chase. We think with boundaries and more training she could live with a dog savvy cat. She loves all peoples. She is house and crate trained but is still learning the command "go to bed" to go into her crate on command and she is still learning the basics such as sit. Altough Norah is your typical active puppy, she can also chill out and chew on a nyla bone for hours. Norah would be a fantastic addition to any family. She is one of those dogs that fits in with everyone. If you are interested in Norah, you can fill out an application here.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 22, 2024, 12:24 am

Story
Meet Liam! Liam is a big goofball and an even bigger cuddle bug. He always wants to be part of the action, and LOVES to be by his people. He loves to curl up on the couch and be a lap dog… despite being 75 lbs. While in foster care Liam has been working on his house-training, crate training, basic commands and walking on a leash. We guess he's about 3 years old. Liam is a big love bug with a lot of love to give! He loves to play with stuffed toys, but will go bonkers for a bone! He also enjoys peanut butter kongs as a nice treat. Liam loves to give and receive big hugs from his favorite humans. Liam previously lived nicely with other big dogs, but after a long time in a very stressful shelter he started to get over-excited at dogs behind barriers. He is working on this while in foster care and has already made good progress. He has met a couple cats as well in foster care. He does not have a high prey drive, but he also is still learning how to interact with them. He likely did not live with cats previously. Liam has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date on his vaccinations. Bring home this goofball to his forever family today! Liam is a collaboration between our rescue and Better World Rescue in Tracy, CA info@betterworldrescue.org- email them or contact us. Interested in meeting Liam? Story
Polo is a curious 1 year old boxer mix who is ready for his forever home! Polo recently went on a doggie day out adventure on 2/26 and had a great time! Here is what his person had to say: `We started off at my place on 23rd and O and walked to Tupi Coffee on 8th and S. He meet a few people and got to say hello while we enjoying sitting down and playing with each other. We walked back to my place and played in the yard then headed off to Dutch bros to get his pup cup and came back to the shelter. He was very smart and a great listener. Would definitely be an amazing dog for older children or teenagers or adults that are able to put in some time to train him. He very clearly would listen to me and was eager to learn more. He is Very friendly, excited to meet new people, silly and a talker. Explorer and would definitely be a great hiking dog. `
