Story
Meet the happiest dog ever Bazinga!! He has been at the Milo Sanctuary for some time now and is just a sweet boy with a few quirks. He loves to go on walks and be around people. He is very people friendly. Bazinga will pull some on a leash, but when told to stop and sit he will. He loves attention and his tennis balls! Bazinga has to have at least two tennis balls - he wouldn't mind more! One quirk about Bazinga is that he is not very dog friendly- he will not be a dog that can visit a dog park or be let off leash to roam, he will need his person to have full control at all times. However he is a dog that can be around all humans! Bazinga is playful and loving. I am searching for a forever home that will love this sweet boy and accept his little quirks. Bazinga is almost 7 years old... who wants to show him a new chapter of life? Please call 707-459-4900 if you would like to meet Bazinga or have more questions.

Story
Billy is a happy, playful boy who adores people, toys, and cuddles...not necessarily in that order. He enjoys daily walks and games of fetch (he needs a lesson in the "bring it back" part) and has been great around the neighborhood kids. Billy landed in a foster home in Pacifica on what was going to be his last day alive, a good Samaritan came forward at the eleventh hour and offered to foster - and there you have it, lucky boy Billy is safe - but he is in a temporary home and needs life 2.0 to begin! Billy is housetrained, dog and people friendly, walks pretty darn nicely on leash, and loves belly rubs like all the best Pitties!

Tank is a sweet and affectionate 70lb. handsome fella. His original owner kept him outdoors on a chain 24/7 and is now being taken care of by neighbors. Despite his recent experience, he is friendly and laid back. He is looking for a home with no other animals or small children. Currently Tank gets to visit a horse barn and all the dogs get along and he is even respectful of the horses. Tank is a truly sweet dog and deserves a loving family. He loves people. He’s been pretty much outside at this time, so he may need some indoor potty training. Tank is located in Grass Valley. Contact Virginia to meet Tank at 530-268-1167 or ginnyhoyt@gmail.com California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.October 24, 2024, 1:31 pm

Story
Hello my name is Daisy, I am a gorgeous American Staffordshire Terrier and I am more than ready to find my forever home.  Daisy has been overlooked! She has been citing at the humane society shelter for over a 1 year now, poor girl.  Although she is on the smaller side, she has not gotten much attention, less than a handful of 'meet and greets'. Outside her kennel she is sweet and eager to please! However she might need some time to warm up to people.  Other Dogs: The shelter is very small and due to financial and staff limitations, formal dog testing and play groups are not conducted and therefore information is limited. However, the shelter staff tried Daisy, in an enclosed yard on a leash with another leashed dog that was about her size and they played well.  On walks, she shows interest and ignores other dogs that are nearby - that's a good sign! There are no medical concerns for Daisy other than she can have skin issues if she is in the sun too much, like any white dog. From one of the volunteers - "Daisy can take time to warm up to people, but once she does she's a big time lover. She enjoys cuddling and leaving you completely covered in white fur." And another volunteer said - "With me she has always been silly and affectionate. She loves to be the center of attention, loves to sit on your lap/give kisses, and loves to roll around in the grass." I am currently living at  San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, in San Gabriel, CA (Los Angeles County).  The shelter's phone number is 626-286-1159 - contact them to meet me, pretty please! California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.October 24, 2024, 1:31 pm

Story
Just over one year old. This girl is a total character. Very affectionate, silly and full of personality. Pie was raised from puppyhood in a family until they lost their housing. She was spoiled in her former home, and clearly enjoyed being the center of attention when she was with them, so the transition to our rules and boundaries was a bit of a shock to her at first. She was used to getting she wants, but we’ve worked out some new agreements since that doesn’t happen around here. :-) Compliance is heavily rewarded here and she’s since learned that patience and the ever-important skill of ‘WAIT!’ brings good all things. A great discovery! She accepts down time in her kennel now, happy chewing a bone or lying in the sun, and is doing well in group training classes and leash work. She has a Rough & Rowdy play style with other dogs (See our Insta for videos badrap_advocacy) Enjoys chasing a ball and doing big happy zoomies. Knows ‘Sit’ ‘Place’ ‘Wait’ and has great eye contact. Her future family will end up with a lot of laughs and good stories with this girl. Please drop us an email if her face speaks to you.

Story
A great Foster-to-Adopt opportunity for some lucky family. Marvin was born mid-October 2024. Very social with all people and play-happy with dogs. Now 12 weeks-ish, this American Bully style munchkin will undergo cherry eye correction & neutering when he’s around 6mos. His adoption match will sign on as foster home until that’s completed at our vet, then we’ll transfer ownership. We’re looking for a puppy savvy family who can continue his socialization with other well socialized dogs and the world at large. Interested? Please drop us an email. Thank you.

Story
Meet Our Adorable 8-Week-Old Scruffy Pitty Mix Puppies! Meet Jingle, the cutest black and white little boy! This irresistible litter of six pint-sized pups is the perfect mix of spunky and sweet, with a heartbreaking beginning that makes their bright futures even more special. These babies, along with their 55-pound blue-and-white pitty mom, were dumped in a box overnight during a rainstorm at a local shelter. Thanks to quick action, they were brought into foster care immediately. Another rescue took two of their siblings, leaving these six little ones in our care. What We Know About Them: - Breed Guess: Mom is a gorgeous pitty, and while dad is a mystery, DNA tests are on the way! Their scruffy coats make us think dad might have been a poodle, terrier, or even a Jack Russell. - Size: Currently 5 pounds, we estimate they’ll grow to be medium-sized, around 30 pounds when fully grown. - Coat Colors**: Half the litter is black and white, and the other half is chocolate and white. Their short, stocky builds and scruffy fur make them utterly unique! Why They’re Special: These pups are full of personality—playful, curious, and full of life despite their rough start. They’re true blank slates, ready to learn and thrive with families who are prepared to provide love, structure, and training. Ready for Homes Soon! They’ll be ready to go home at the end of January once they’re spayed or neutered. However, they’ll need to finish their vaccine series over the next month before they can safely explore public spaces. What They’re Looking For: Committed Families: These puppies need adopters who understand the pitty breed and are committed to raising breed ambassadors. Ongoing training and socialization are a must to help them grow into confident, well-mannered adults. Active Homes: They’re spunky and energetic, so they’d do best in homes with yards (no apartments) and ideally as second dogs to help them learn the ropes. Training Plans: These pups haven’t had any formal training yet but are incredibly smart and eager to learn. Families with a training plan already in mind will set them up for success. Why They’re Worth It: These babies have already shown resilience and a will to thrive despite their rough beginnings. With the right love and guidance, they’ll leave their tough start far behind and grow into amazing companions. Are You Ready to Meet Them? If you’re ready to welcome one of these precious pups into your home, reach out today! Let’s give them the fresh start they deserve and show the world just how wonderful pitty mixes can be. This version highlights their uniqueness, explains their needs clearly, and appeals to committed adopters who are ready to help these pups thrive! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Wiggles! Notes from his foster: Mr. Wiggles is an absolutely friendly and lovely little couch potato. He's the perfect dog for any family that just wants a pet to love on, with low maintenance and low energy. He likes treats very much, and is very motivated by them, so he can be yours to train easily and quickly (he's already learned from us when to go to bed). He is also curious. We've had him walk in and out of the house with us without a leash, and all he wants to do is some sniffing around plants before he comes back in. When he is inside the house, he spends most of his time doing one of two things: Laying down for a nap, or staring at you for pets. When he wants his head scratched he will let you know by pushing his whole noggin into your leg or foot. Other pros for Mr. Wiggles is he is very calm. We've recently had a few dogs in our neighborhood that have been quite loud and barky, but Mr. Wiggles has not responded in any way towards their barks. In fact, when we do hear them in the house, he snores right through it. Overall, he is a very good boy.

Story
Lovely silly Marabelle is a middle aged female English Bull dog looking for a peaceful home where she can happily nap. She currently lives in the office at Jelly's where she loves her routine of eating, snoozing, a little play and dancing about, getting lots of pets and attention, and hanging out on the porch where she can snooze some more! Marabelle is such a gentle, loving dog . She gets along with other dogs, though insists on being the queen when it comes to getting pets. She would be great in a home with a little outdoor space where she can get fresh air, whether it's a yard or deck. She isn't an active girl, and not a fan of going on walks. No stairs for Marabelle! Marabelle did not have an easy life before Jelly's; she was a breeder dog and neglected. When we took her in, she needed a lot of medical care due to severe skin and ear infections. She has had a face lift and ear surgery that left her deaf. She is doing great now, though still suffers from some eye irritation that requires cleaning and drops. You can't help but love Marabelle. If you can offer her a safe place to land, she will love you furever. If interested in meeting our favorite office girl, please complete an application at www.jellysplace.org. Marabelle is available as a foster or foster-to-adopt.
