Story
My Adoption Fee is Waived!Jack is what we like to call a `big lug,` or a `big lovie.` He`s a lot of lab, and is a sweet potty-trained guy who just wants to have a happy home away from the shelter. He can pull a bit on leash, but walks better using a harness and LOVES to sniff his surroundings and enjoy the outdoors. Jack enjoys playing in the shelter pools. He recently met some social dogs at our shelter but he did not seem interested in making new dog friends. It`s possible that if his new adopters were willing to do slow introductions over days or weeks, he may be able to live with a respectful compatible dog. Or he may prefer to be the only dog in the household. Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Norah is approximately 7 months old. She came from the Stockton shelter where one of our RPNC volunteers first heard about her and started fostering her. Norah was a medical foster due to her having a prolapsed rectum. She's had two surgeries to repair her colon and after a long recovery period Norah is ready to find her forever home. Norah will need to stay on special food through her life and it will be important for her new family to understand her medical condition. There is a possibility that she will need to have another surgery by a specialist. However, her foster has been able to control her condition with diet and we are hopeful her new family will be able to do the same. Norah is a typical 6 month old puppy. She loves to play, play, play. She currently lives with 2 other dogs; a younger dog and an older dog. She does great with both. Plays with the younger dog and respects the older dog. She also lives with a cat, that she likes to chase. We think with boundaries and more training she could live with a dog savvy cat. She loves all peoples. She is house and crate trained but is still learning the command "go to bed" to go into her crate on command and she is still learning the basics such as sit. Altough Norah is your typical active puppy, she can also chill out and chew on a nyla bone for hours. Norah would be a fantastic addition to any family. She is one of those dogs that fits in with everyone. If you are interested in Norah, you can fill out an application here.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 22, 2024, 12:24 am

Story
I am looking for someone to adopt this amazing dog. I have had him for 2.5 years and have travelled for work most of that time. While this has given me a ton of time to train and bond with him, the lifestyle just doesn't work for him and it is time to find him a more stable environment. Preference will be shown to anyone who already has a dog and/or a yard for him to play in. Rambo has a ton of energy and just wants to play. He can be a nervous nelly though, afraid of loud noises. Aside from that, he is always super stoked on life! I have worked with him everyday, training and socializing, and there is no animal he doesn't love. He is a doggy-daycare rockstar too! He is trained moderately well off leash and responds to commands in the woods. The city can be a work in progress because he gets so excited, but he shows a willingness to learn and always loves everything. Rambo is the best thing that ever happened to me, and I am sure it will be the same for you as well.
