MEET SOCKS ~ Socks is a loving young boy that would be a great best friend. Nothing bothers him. He likes other dogs, cats and didn’t look twice at the ducks when walking at the pond. Socks was very underweight on arrival, he arrived with another dog also underweight. Both dogs are filling out nicely and as I mentioned very sweet. I took Socks on a walk while the Grandkids were doing target practice and he didn’t even flinch. He is very even tempered and aims to please. Socks is now Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you believe Socks is your love match, please send us some information about yourselves, how Socks would spend his days and request an application from gooddogk9rescue@yahoo.com Thank you, Good Dog K9 Rescue Inc.

Story
MEET LILY ~ Lily is a loving little girl. She’s been with us here at the rescue since mid December after being found very pregnant and dumped with trash and old furniture on the side of the highway, She is so sweet and hopeful, she stayed right there in that trash heap until someone came along and rescued her. We were so full but just couldn’t let this loving little girl go to the shelter. She had her puppies December 18th. She did a great job and is now relieved of her parental duties. She will be spayed this week and is looking for her forever home. Lily really couldn’t be any sweeter or adorable. She aims to please and gets along with other dogs and random farm animals. She walks on a leash and will sleep in a crate no problem. If you believe Lily is your love match, please send us a little information about yourselves, how Lily would spend her days and request an application from gooddogk9rescue@yahoo.com Thank you, Good Dog K9 Rescue Inc.

Story
Nebula is an adventurous, fun-loving companion perfect for any single person, couples without kids, or families with kids older than 10 years. She is selective with her canine companions, so a meet-and-greet in a neutral area is required, but they will be friends for life if all goes well! Nebula hasn’t quite grasped that cats are friends and not food, so she would do best in a home with no felines. Car rides are one of Nebula’s favorite pastimes; she’s down to join you wherever you go, especially if it’s out to a park or a trail for walks! If she can’t join you, she keeps herself busy chewing on her rubber tire and napping in any warm spot she can find. She is house-broken, crate-trained, knows basic commands, and is excellent at alerting you when people approach your front door. There’s nothing Nebula loves more than to snuggle up to you at the end of day for endless pets and cuddles – she’ll even share your bed with you if you let her! Come see Nebula and find your next best friend!

Story
Chowder is a deaf pitbull mix. She is SWEET, and well trained using sign language. Her favorite sign is a thumbs up, which says she's being a good girl. She loves working for treats and learns quickly. Chowder is healthy, two years old, 40#, spayed, and up to date on all of her shots, and heart-worm prevention. Genetic and breed testing showed no markers for genetic diseases or allergies, and she is mostly pit. I'll provide paperwork. She has graduated from beginner and intermediate dog school, and knows some basic ASL. I’ve worked closely with a trainer at dog school, and in the home, who has offered to provide training to whoever adopts Chowder, to ensure she and her new person/family learn each other well and achieve a sustained adoption. Chowder's guarding behaviors can lead to her attacking other dogs. She loves to play, and with muzzle training (to ensure safety), she would love to meet dog friends, but needs to be the only dog in her furrever home.

Story
Adoption fee partially sponsored by Petfinder Foundation Miami!!!! Miami came to Butte Humane Society recently as an owner surrender, she is a 3-year-old American Bully who has gone through an adventure to make her way to Chico CA. Originally, she was picked up as a stray in Southern California. A gentleman saw her on a website for another shelter and she was at risk of being euthanized. With time running out the gentleman had Miami transported to him in order to save her life. Due to her strength and size her rescuer could no longer care for her and surrendered her to Butte Humane Society to find a younger owner. Miami loves people and loves to share the couch with you. She is used to sleeping in a crate at night and doesn't have that big of a toy drive. She is ready to meet you and become a part of your family, come down to see her at Butte Humane Society today. All animals adopted from Butte Humane Society are evaluated by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered, provided with vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and have received heartworm, flea/tick preventatives prior to adoption.

Story
Meet Carrot—a stunning 2-year-old, super mutt! His primary breeds are Staffordshire and Pit Bull, but his unique tan merle coloring comes from Catahoula Leopard Dog genes in his DNA. He is smart, food motivated, and eager to please, making him so much fun to train. So far, his repertoire includes sit, shake, spin, down, and saddle. His previous owner reported he is potty trained, mostly crate trained, and happy to greet you with cuddles & kisses when you come home.    He is an active young boy that thrives when mentally stimulated or taken for outside adventures—especially car rides to Dutch Bros for pup cups. Carrot was returned to the shelter due to incompatibility with cats, so his dream home is cat-free. We believe he has potential to live with a chill and friendly dog. Ideally, his future dog sibling will teach him how to play! Though his first home was not the right match, we are optimistic his furever home is just around the corner.    If you are interested in meeting Carrot and have another dog (or more), bring them by for a meet-and-greet! Drop by the shelter during our walk-in hours on Fridays and Saturdays between 11am and 3pm or email adopt@yoloshelter.org to schedule an appointment.   His $50 adoption fee is sponsored by Blue Note Brewing Co.!   All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
