Shorty was rescued by another rescue organization on the streets of Woodland Hills. They were never able to find his owner. They had to shut down, so Paw Parent stepped in and took Shorty. Shorty has been looking for a home for quite some time as he was found at only about 2 years old. This sweet guy deserves a great home. He loves all people, but should be placed in a home with older children due to his strength. He has met a couple dogs he liked, but can be very selective. He loves to go on walks and absolutely loves to carry his ball around in his mouth. Shorty is a silly guy, and loves to play. Shorty is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all routine vaccinations. At the age of about 9 weeks, Ruly was rescued from imminent euthanasia at a shelter. Now six months old and weighs 46 pounds. She is highly intelligent with a lot of exuberant energy, too much for her guardians who rescued her, they are both of an advanced age. They love her very much but cannot satisfy her need for exercise and therefore they are looking for a new home for her that is more suitable to her needs. She would do great in agility training or be a great running or hiking buddy.She is very sweet and loves everyone, human or canine. She wants to jump on and play with everyone and has been on six-mile hikes without really tiring. She has been through a five-week puppy training class, plus four visits to her owners’ house by professional trainers and understands basic commands—sit, down, stay, come, and heel. She is house- and crate-trained. She is highly intelligent. She needs a family with young, vigorous adults with no children younger than older teenagers. Another dog would be good. She has never interacted with cats. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, chipped, and registered with LA County Animal Control. Rio was the runt of the litter living as an outdoor dog. Incredibly sweet but very energetic, we took her to give her more space and the chance to interact with our dogs. Our other dogs being much older, they did not like her energy and it caused issues. With rio being younger and stronger, there’s a chance for a fight to spiral into something much worse. Mia is 7 years old and the most delightful little pibble you’ll ever meet. She is only with us because her family lost their home. She loves long walks, playing with her toys, and most of all, having someone sit with her on the couch and snuggle with her. She’s in good health, but our vet does think she needs to lose a little fluff, so she is eating a special low-fat food to help her lose a few pounds. She adores everyone and is already vying for the title of "happiest pup" here at the Ranch. She’s the one for you if you love silly, fun-loving pittys. Because we require visits here to our rescue and home checks, adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, Ca area. Hunk has not had an easy life, and for that he was almost killed at the shelter. Poor Hunk was completely shut down and terrified at the shelter, and thus responded with aggression. He sat for WEEKS never leaving his kennel because they were so afraid of him. It took our trainer and I 5 minutes and he was out wagging his tail. Hunk just needed a chance! He has been in training program since coming out of the shelter, and we have learned so much about him. Hunk LOVES to play. He is wicked smart and eager to please his owner. He wants an owner who will continue to lead him, support him, and set boundaries. Hunk does have dog aggression adn thus cannot interact with other dogs. He must live in a dog free home. He is 65 pounds of white potato that will love you until the end of time. He would be best wihtout young children, and preferably a female owner. (men can be scary). If you made it this far, thank you. I know this dog has a lot of "red flags" and will require a very specific home, but he deserves it. This beautiful guy is Chili who was rescued in the knick of time from the Downey shelter in LA.Chili is very sweet and playful, but can easily get over stimulated and gets very excited when meeting a new person and starts jumping. Chili is in need of someone who can give him the exercise he needs and can handle his very exuberant personality. Therefore we are looking for a very calm, alpha human who can be a leader to him, preferably with Boxer experience. We are looking for a home for him where he will be the only pet with no children.
