Story
This little (not so little) gem is Ally. She is 3 years old (As of 10/31) and she is looking for a life time of cuddles. She is the sweetest, most loving, and amazing animal I've ever seen. She has no idea what personal space is, she thinks she's a lap dog, and she is the perfect cuddle partner. She's absolutely amazing with humans, but not other animals. She was a rescue and had a pretty bad history in the kennel. However, she loves people more than anything. She carries a toy in her mouth everywhere she goes, and all she wants to do is make you happy while being scratched. Unfortunately, I need to move and my new place won't allow me to keep her. Although I'm heartbroken, my hope is that she can find a new family to love her the way she deserves.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bella aka “Big Mamma” is the perfect couch potato dog. She was a mamma dog late in life and has earned her right to bask in the sunlight and just relax. It is apparent that she did not spend her recent years with humans but probably as a back yard breeder dog. It took Bella a little while before she learned to appreciated all the fun that a relationship with people can bring...like treats and toys. Once she trusts you Bella loves to cuddle and accept petting and also loves to get people to throw her ball. She loves toys and treats and can entertain herself very well. She is crate trained and seems to enjoy her down time with a good bone to chew. Bella has no allergies or food sensitivities. Bella is a big girl so a strong handler is key. She has no interest in sharing her home with another dog, after giving birth to all those big puppies who could blame her. Bella walks well on a leash and can be dog reactive, but easily managed with a strong leader. If you have a soft spot near the TV that needs filling, Bella is your girl. Please consider sponsoring Bella with either a one-time or monthly tax-deductible donation. Your donation will help It's The Pits with day-to-day care, including food, vaccinations, flea treatment, treats and toys. Click on the Sponsor This Pet link above to make your donation today. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. I am backed into a corner. I have a 9-year-old Am Staff mix who I rescued for my niece 6 years ago. He initially did not like men but came right up to me to the surprise of the staff at the pound. Long story short, my niece after five years decided she did not want the financial responsibility of caring for Zeus. I took Zeus in because I did not want him to go back to the pound or humane society. He does not do well in a cage. My other two dogs have not fully accepted Zeus into the pack, but they do sleep together, pal around etc…but there is a divide between my other two and Zeus.  My HOA is on me about having three dogs.  Only allowed to have two.   I have recently had all my dogs trained via a dog psychology center. The center trained me in how to behave/control the dogs. Best training, I have ever had. Zeus responded extremely well to this. Basically, I let the “pack” know that I’m the Apex Predator and not to worry about other people, animals etc…I have control. They are all now a pleasure to walk with both on and off leash. Pros about Zeus : He is extremely loving and will be glued to your side once he imprints on you, he is very protective in that he will try to save you from drowning in the pool, he loves to lay right next to you, he loves horse poop…wait, that’s a con, he looks tough but he’s a softy. Cons about Zeus : he has separation anxiety but has improved dramatically, does not like to be kenneled, does not do well around aggressive dogs but is chill with cool dogs. He does not like shady men or men who are not confident and act weasley, needs to take medication (vetmedin) for a low-grade heart murmur (on a scale of 1-10 he is considered a 3), he does have a high prey drive and no lizard is safe. I want to keep him with my pack, but it is becoming difficult for me working, single dad, moving, and not having the time to fully dedicate myself to three dogs. I walk them twice a day. I will not send him to the pound or humane society, so I am looking for a good home. He will not just go to anyone. Also, one of my dogs has high anxiety and it bleeds off into Zeus. I know Zeus will do amazing as an only dog or with another dog that is chill and not dominant. Open to suggestions and advice. My heart is already broken but I know in the long run it will be better for all parties involved. Escondido, California. $200 rehoming fee.  Contact  bojak80@yahoo.com. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. The tale of Robby, a 10-year-old Boxer Mix, is a heart-wrenching illustration of how a dog can be considered homeless despite technically having an owner. For a decade, Robby endured a life of neglect, living in a dilapidated dog house barely fit for a rat, positioned just outside the home of his owner. Stripped of the basic necessities of care and nourishment, he had no choice but to resort to scavenging for food, begging passersby for scraps and water, all while defending himself from the other street dogs that roamed freely. This life of hardship took its toll on his health, leaving him riddled with infections and suffering from painful rotten and broken teeth due to his desperate attempts to eat whatever he could find. Fortunately, a glimmer of hope arose when concerned individuals turned to me for assistance. I understood that Robby’s situation was a call for compassion that could not be ignored. Upon his rescue, it became clear just how much love and care Robby had been deprived of over the years. With proper veterinary care and rehabilitation, this gentle soul began to regain his health, blossoming into a vibrant and affectionate companion. Robby’s journey is of survival and resilience!! When kindness finally entered his life after years of starvation and loneliness his soul came to life. However, the scars of his past linger on. Although Robby is now a sweet dog who adores human company, the years of ill treatment have left him with food and treat aggression. These behaviors are not indicative of his character but rather a reflection of his survival instincts honed in an unforgiving environment. We continue to help Robby by overcoming his feeling of being food deprived with training and he's doing so much better. We are committed to Robby!!! It’s believed that the best path for Robby is to live as an only dog, allowing him to bask in the one thing he has longed for throughout his tumultuous life—human kindness and love. Robby's story is not just a reminder of the plight of many animals; it serves as a call to action for compassion and understanding, driving us to provide every creature the loving home they deserve. I added Robby’s before pictures on his post so you can see what his life was like and to show how resilient a beautiful soul could be. Robby deserves to live the rest of his life in peace, comfort and with a lot of love which he thrives on. Story
Hi, this is Sebastian he is a full breed boxer and he is 2 years old. He’s very social and loves attention and hugs. He has grown up around his 2 other brothers from same litter but unfortunately due to moving I cannot keep him. He’s very friendly and loves to run and play catch. He loves making friends at the dog park. He has a great personality and we are so sad to have to see him go. He need’s special attention to his diet because he’s allergic to chicken and eats a salmon & rice blend dog food. Also he has sensitive skin due to these food allergies. He’s the smallest out of all his brothers I’d say he weighs low 60’s lbs! He is microchipped and he is fixed. With up to date shots!
