To apply or see more of Honey, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/4/22/honey-b WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FOSTER, FOSTER TO ADOPT OR ADOPTER ASAP! PLEASE complete our foster or adoption form to get started! Already have an app on file? Email info@heartsforpawsrescue.com Hey there, it's Honey B, a sweet senior girl with a heart full of love! I'm currently kicking back in Davis, soaking up the good vibes after being rescued from the Stanislaus shelter in Modesto. Let me paint you a picture of my perfect day—I'm a snuggly couch potato, living my best life during the day. But watch out — I’ll get my zoomies in before bedtime and be sure to make you chuckle. My hobbies include playing with my toys, being the little spoon during snuggle sessions, soaking up belly rubs, and catching some rays while napping in the sunlight. Outdoorsy? That's me! I'm a fantastic walking and jogging companion, matching your pace with ease. Now, let's talk about my cheese-powered progress. I get a bit excited when spotting other dogs during walks, but thanks to some cheesy motivation, I'm making great strides. What kind of cheese you may ask? I don’t discriminate! I am housetrained and trustworthy when left alone! While rapidly de-stuffing toys is a talent of mine, fear not, I leave the human things alone … BORINGGGG! Meeting new people? I can be a tad shy at first, but give me a little time, and my cute personality shines through. I've even mastered the art of shaking paws! I've lived harmoniously with another dog in my previous foster home, but I'm a bit selective, preferring slow intros and other laid-back doggy pals. Now, here's the thing—I've got a bit too much curiosity when it comes to cats, so a cat-free zone is best. Ready for a snuggly, playful companion who knows how to charm with a paw shake? That's me—Honey B, ready to add sweetness to your life. Let's make some memories together in a home filled with love and laughter! 🐾 Honey B's adoption donation is SPONSORED! Includes spay/addendum; rabies, dhpp, bordatella, microchip, and up to date on monthly preventatives. Honey is being fostered in GRASS VALLEY, CA ESTIMATED DOB: 10/1/2015 Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time. Follow facebook.com/heartsforpawsrescue & Instagram @heartsforpawsrescue for more! Story
To apply or see more of Hammy, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2023/11/18/hammy I'm Hammy and the humans say I’m a sensational boy…whatever that means. I was rescued from Solano County Animal Control, and life has been looking up ever since! First things first, I'm a pro on the leash making me the perfect companion for those leisurely strolls. Oh, and did I mention balls? I'm head over paws IN LOVE with them! If you're on the hunt for a dog with a genuine passion for balls, well, you just found me! I'm not just a ball enthusiast. People big and small? They’re all pals in my book. I also get along with my doggy foster sibling. While I’m fine living with other dogs, I don’t really get the whole playing thing so if you’re looking for a rowdy playmate for your dog, that may not be me. Now, here's the thing – I’m a little embarrassed, but I've got a bit of hair loss on my backside. I’ve been reassured that it will improve with some TLC. If you think you can welcome me (along with all my balls for fetchin’), I would be so pleased. I can’t wait to meet ya! Hammy is being fostered in SACRAMENTO, CA Estimated DOB: 8/29/2017 $125 Adoption Donation includes: Neuter, Rabies, DHPP, Bordatella, and microchip Interested in adopting? 1. These puppies are exceptionally sweet and very social despite being dumped. They are total cuddle bugs with goofy personalities and would thrive in many types of homes — most important homes committed to a LIFETIME of care, from puppyhood to adolescents, adult hood and their senior years! $375 Adoption Donation includes: Age appropriate Vaccinations, Microchip w/ free lifetime registry, Dewormed/Flea Tick treated, and spay/neuter at 4-5 months of age. Ideal home will: Have the time to commit to all things puppy! Please note puppies do not do well left alone long hours and need to be let out every 2-3 hours for potty. Long work schedule where the puppy would be left alone for 7+ hours can be difficult on most puppies and young dogs. Solid plans for puppy socialization, positive exposure and continued training + relationship building -- commitment not just to puppyhood but to a lifetime of love, care, companionship and vetting. HFP advocates for Positive Reinforcement only for young puppies and training that focuses less on "obedience" and more on confidence building, relationship building and consent training. Preference to homes w/ friendly & well-trained dog role models (preference, NOT required) Preference to homes w/ yards (preferred, NOT required) Why? Puppies cannot go in public until they are 4 month old and complete their puppy shot series. Story
Hi, I’m Squirmy Wormy?? Not sure I like my name but at least I got a better profile pic than the one I had on arrival. Because I am very cute! Volunteers describe me as super smart and calm and loving. I had no reaction to other dogs I saw, or squirrels, or all the many people at the car show that was happening across the street. I even met the King of Front Street, Tom Jones, the kitty, and was very polite and gracious. I have started working on heel and apparently I did exceptionally well. I also know “sit”, “stay”, “come”, “touch” and “find it”. Everyone says I’m a solid dog and again, super cute!I went on a doggie day out adventure with a volunteer on 11/9 and had A BLAST! Here is what they had to say: `Squirmy Wormy had a great day out of the shelter! She had many treats, including a pupcake and pupcup, and was very happy and friendly with all the people that came by. She loves all people and would make a fantastic family dog. She is the sweetest, most loving, cuddly girl and would love to be a lap dog if she was a little smaller (though that doesn’t stop her from trying!). She loves giving kisses and is very playful, whether it’s playing with her toys or chasing her own tail! She did not bark at all and loved taking a nap in her volunteers house. We saw many dogs outside but she only showed brief curiosity then was able to ignore them. She did not pull much at all on the leash and preferred to stay close to her volunteer. Please give this girl a chance - she is as sweet and loving as can be!`Please come meet me!

Story
June Carter was named for her sweet disposition. We adopted June from our local animal shelter almost a year ago. She has been nothing but a sweet, loving, cuddly girl. We think she might be a pit mixed with a larger breed (great dane/ boxer?!) Her favorite things are Kong/ Bullymake toys, running in the backyard, and playdates with other dogs. Unfortunately one of our pre-existing dogs just could not get along with her which is why we are looking into rehoming (we are also pregnant/expecting). June is super playful and is looking for a family that can give her more attention and engagement. She is interestingly not super into walks - but loves brain puzzles and just hanging out with her family. She takes to training very well (is very intelligent) and has completed beginner and intermediate dog training at Petsmart. She would do great as a solo pet for a family looking for a house trained older puppy, and most likely would get along with other friendly/ more timid dogs.

These pups are in Davis, California too!

Story
Schatzie loves to be held and is very affectionate. She will walk up to you and rest her head on your hand or lap. She is slowly learning how to play catch after watching our resident dog and loves holding a toy in her mouth at all times. Squeaker toys are her jam and there are never too many tennis balls in her opinion. Often times you will find her rolling in the grass and springing back up to all four and ready for the next adventure. She rides well in cars, walks well on a leash and is potty trained. Everyone who meets her says she is an absolute sweetheart. The instant we met, our hearts melted, and could not agree any more.

Story
Zeus is very smart and playful, he loves toys and learns routines quickly. Zeus loves to play chase and tug anytime. He is learning his manners well, but he still barks and gets excited easily so he may do best somewhere he has a little space to play on his own. He is very friendly with other people, he wants to play and will go get his toys and attempt to engage you in tug of war. He likes to chase balls but is still learning “drop”. If you have a couple toys to alternate with, he will fetch. He loves belly rubs. Zeus loves his treats but is pretty mellow about mealtimes. He will take food from your hand gently. We give him food 3 times a day and he often eats it slowly throughout the day, he doesn’t gobble food or overeat. When we need to give him pills he will eat a spoon of peanut butter with meds with no problem. Zeus crates well; he will go in there easily if you point inside and often takes naps in there on his own. His foster parents are home a lot so he is a little spoiled with attention, but he is used to being in his crate alone for a few hours at a time. He is both affectionate and sometimes self-sufficient. He likes to be with you or cuddle, and he also seems comfortable napping in the ‘other’ room. We have not tested Zeus with cats but he has a strong chase/hunt instinct and always goes after birds or squirrels. Zeus is sweet but he does get excited and can jump or be a rough player. He is learning not to jump up so much, but he does seem to like standing up on his hind legs. He is also pretty vocal when he is playing

Story
Alka is a very sweet girl who needs a family that will help her feel safe in the world. Alka will do best in a home that is calm & on the quiet side so older, quieter kids in the home would be ok. Once you have earned her trust she is a typical Boxer goofball who does zoomies, loves cuddles, lap time, hand & face licks, hugs and will be by your side as you go about your day. She gets along well with her foster brother now after a bit of an extended introduction. She is curious about cats and will likely learn that chasing them when they move quickly isn’t going to be accepted. Alka needs a calm, patient home that can slowly help her feel more secure about meeting new people and learning about things she has apparently not experienced before. She walks nicely on a leash but is fearful of people in general so we are taking new experiences slowly and making sure they are positive. Alka is a smart, intuitive girl, has not had a single accident in the house and learned to use the dog door in about ten minutes. Alka is quiet and calm in her crate when needed during the day and all night.
