Story
Foster, Adopt OR Foster-to-Adopt me! Sweet pittie Tito has beautiful eyes, a contagious grin… and a purr?   Two-year-old Tito is healthy, potty trained, walks well on leash, and loves learning new tricks. Long hikes on the weekend get Tito’s energy out, and he spends his weekdays napping on blankets near his foster mom. Tito is easy-and naturally quiet. He rarely barks, but makes piggy snorts and purrs throughout the day.  (We think he’s 1/3 dog, 1/3 cat, and 1/3 pig!)   Tito was shy when he arrived at the shelter, but warmed up with treats and attention. He  bonds tightly to any gentle person who shows him patience and love. Once you’re his person, sweet Tito enjoys giving kisses, getting couch cuddles, and making you laugh with silly bum-wiggles!    Tito loves other dogs, and easily made friends in shelter playgroups. He will be a fantastic brother for another dog.    Tito needs a dog-savvy home, ideally with a yard so Tito can roll around on the grass. (As we said - part pig.) We recommend a home without small children; Tito seems to like kids, but can be a bowling ball when he gets the zoomies. He needs a patient family that commits to positive training methods - this gentle boy needs spoiling, not discipline!   If you can give that to Tito, he will repay you with silliness, loyalty, and love.     Please help us learn more about you by filling out our online application: www.tinyurl.com/AdoptMeNow and we will arrange a meet and greet!  September 22, 2024, 12:05 am

Story
Foster to/or Adopt me!   Gorgeous Georgie will be the perfect companion for you and your fur-baby!   Georgie has beautiful hazel eyes; silky, can’t-stop-petting-them ears; a cute sploot; and a freckled snoot!  But this 1.5-year-old boy has more to offer than just his good looks.  He has heart and brains, too!   Georgie is a little shy with new people, likely due to past mistreatment.  He needs a couple of weeks to fully settle into a new home.  But all it takes to win Georgie’s trust and adoration is a little patience and kindness.  Once you’re his person, Georgie will climb into your lap for kisses and cuddles!  And if he thinks you’re sad, Georgie will wiggle on the ground until you laugh and scratch his belly!   Super-smart Georgie is already potty-trained, knows how to sit for a treat, and loves sleeping in his crate.  He learned how to walk nicely on leash just by watching other dogs!  With continued positive training, Georgie will be the most impressive dog in your neighborhood.   Georgie lights up around other friendly dogs, and would love a dog-sibling in his forever home.  He is always ready to romp and play with a new dog-friend, but knows to be gentle with smaller dogs and to take correction from his elders. He met an adult cat and kittens and he was so sweet around them, even a little worried!    Georgie even has his own Facebook page! Check it out: https://m.facebook.com/61562046697941/    We know that he is a very special boy that deserves a loving home.  If that could be with you, please fill out our online application: www.tinyurl.com/AdoptMeNow Foster-to-Adopt is an option!September 22, 2024, 12:05 am

02/12/25 14:47Dunkaroo is an energetic, loving 1.5-year-old dog, possibly a Staffie mix. He thrives on play, especially with children, and has shown great aptitude in training with fosters and at our Pawp Up. House-trained, he`s lived with various family members and other dogs. His high energy can lead to mouthiness during play, indicating he needs ongoing training for safe interactions. Dunkaroo has moved homes several times due to temporary fostering and household changes, not his behavior. He`s returned often, highlighting his need for a stable, active home where his energy is channeled positively. He seeks a committed family or individual who understands the needs for activity, mental stimulation, and loving guidance in shelter dogs. Dunkaroo offers boundless love, loyalty, and joy to those ready for an enthusiastic companion.

Story
Aspen was adopted from the Monterey County SPCA. Her birthday is April 10th 2016. She was born at the SPCA. DNA revealed Aspen is 50% American Staffordshire Terrier, 37.5% Siberian Husky, and 12.5% German Shepherd. Aspen is a sweet and loyal dog. She enjoys being home and relaxing with family, as well as her daily walks. Aspen knows commands sit, stay, off, lay down, leave it, take it, let’s go, move it, go outside, go inside, paw (shake), and roll over. Aspen is not crate trained, but she does sleep in her own dog bed. She walks with a gentle leader. Aspen needs a new home because she no longer gets along with other pets. Aspen does not have experience with cats other than chasing strays in the yard, as we are allergic. Aspen has been around children of all ages and loves kids. They are the perfect height to kiss faces. For more information please contact us.

Story
Hi everybody! My name is Snow White, and I'm a 2-year-old, spayed pit bull that currently weighs about 53lbs. I can't wait to say hello—I'm a silly, happy love bug who jumps for joy when meeting new people. I also enjoy 'talking' to my friends: I bark to say hello, and I bark when we're playing fetch, so you know when to throw the ball. I have a lot of energy, but once I've had my playtime and walk, I can't wait to be showered with affection. If you stop scratching me, I'll put my paw on your knee as a way of saying 'more, please!' Did I mention that I'm a very smart girl who excels at nose work? I even find the treats when they hide them somewhere high, and I sit and wait patiently to be rewarded. I'm the whole package: smart and pretty with tons of personality! Please be sure to bring in the entire household, including any resident dogs, to meet me prior to adding me to the family. I'm hoping for a family with adults only or families with older children that are familiar bully breeds like me and have experience teaching dogs how to share and be patient with treats. For more information about me, just ask Customer Service about Snow White! ID# A946068 I recently went spent time with my PHS Volunteer friends! Here's how I did: Snow White has improved so much in her time with us at Lantos. She’s significantly easier to gear now, especially if she has a toy during gearing. She still lovesss fetch but now she has a lot more impulse control and can do long sit-stays or down-stays waiting for the next toss. She is quite easy to walk after a game of fetch. Finally, she used to be super weird about my camera and try to grab it or bash it. Now she poses beautifully for photos. Such a good girl. So proud of her.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor. Emails will be returned as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours during busy adoption periods like weekends.February 18, 2025, 3:14 pm

Story
We have yet to meet a pitty we didn't fall in love with!!! London is no exception! She came into the Stanislaus shelter depressed and would just lay on the ground in her kennel. While in the shelter, the volunteers started taking London our regularly to get some pep in her step. London got used to being taken outside every time a certain volunteer was there, so it became a ritual for them. London seems to be around 6 years old and seems to be very comfortable around dogs , as if she's used to being around a lot dogs. There's no way to know though as this sweet girl was picked up as a stray. She's tested excellent with 10-12 different dogs, males, females, the young, the old, the shy, the excitable. She seems somewhat playful for an older gal but probably more on the gentle dainty side not a rough and rowdy player. No kitties for her though! She has had some prey drive during walks and should not be in a home with cats because of this. London girl has the beefiest beefcake smile that you ever did see! She will without a doubt make your day better just by being in the room! London is currently being fostered in Turlock, CA. If you would like to meet her, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.californiabullyrescue.org/adopt
