Story
Foster, Adopt OR Foster-to-Adopt me! Sweet pittie Tito has beautiful eyes, a contagious grin… and a purr?   Two-year-old Tito is healthy, potty trained, walks well on leash, and loves learning new tricks. Long hikes on the weekend get Tito’s energy out, and he spends his weekdays napping on blankets near his foster mom. Tito is easy-and naturally quiet. He rarely barks, but makes piggy snorts and purrs throughout the day.  (We think he’s 1/3 dog, 1/3 cat, and 1/3 pig!)   Tito was shy when he arrived at the shelter, but warmed up with treats and attention. He  bonds tightly to any gentle person who shows him patience and love. Once you’re his person, sweet Tito enjoys giving kisses, getting couch cuddles, and making you laugh with silly bum-wiggles!    Tito loves other dogs, and easily made friends in shelter playgroups. He will be a fantastic brother for another dog.    Tito needs a dog-savvy home, ideally with a yard so Tito can roll around on the grass. (As we said - part pig.) We recommend a home without small children; Tito seems to like kids, but can be a bowling ball when he gets the zoomies. He needs a patient family that commits to positive training methods - this gentle boy needs spoiling, not discipline!   If you can give that to Tito, he will repay you with silliness, loyalty, and love.     Please help us learn more about you by filling out our online application: www.tinyurl.com/AdoptMeNow and we will arrange a meet and greet!  September 22, 2024, 12:05 am

Story
Foster to/or Adopt me!   Gorgeous Georgie will be the perfect companion for you and your fur-baby!   Georgie has beautiful hazel eyes; silky, can’t-stop-petting-them ears; a cute sploot; and a freckled snoot!  But this 1.5-year-old boy has more to offer than just his good looks.  He has heart and brains, too!   Georgie is a little shy with new people, likely due to past mistreatment.  He needs a couple of weeks to fully settle into a new home.  But all it takes to win Georgie’s trust and adoration is a little patience and kindness.  Once you’re his person, Georgie will climb into your lap for kisses and cuddles!  And if he thinks you’re sad, Georgie will wiggle on the ground until you laugh and scratch his belly!   Super-smart Georgie is already potty-trained, knows how to sit for a treat, and loves sleeping in his crate.  He learned how to walk nicely on leash just by watching other dogs!  With continued positive training, Georgie will be the most impressive dog in your neighborhood.   Georgie lights up around other friendly dogs, and would love a dog-sibling in his forever home.  He is always ready to romp and play with a new dog-friend, but knows to be gentle with smaller dogs and to take correction from his elders. He met an adult cat and kittens and he was so sweet around them, even a little worried!    Georgie even has his own Facebook page! Check it out: https://m.facebook.com/61562046697941/    We know that he is a very special boy that deserves a loving home.  If that could be with you, please fill out our online application: www.tinyurl.com/AdoptMeNow Foster-to-Adopt is an option!September 22, 2024, 12:05 am

Story
Our sweet and adorable Bruno Bear almost didn't make it out of the shelter alive as he was scheduled to be euthanized for "aggressive behavior." We are STILL reeling over this fact. He is so beyond gentle and sweet, and (as you can see from his pics) all he wants is love and affection. Within hours of being saved from death row, he was rolling in the backyard grass at his foster home, clearly taking it all in that he had just been saved. He loves his foster sister Mochi, cheese, and going for walks. As he is only around 3 years old with no training, we are working on his leash pulling and also not jumping up when he gets too excited. He is working with a trainer weekly and is getting better every single day. He has been an excellent house guest in every way! We can't wait to find Bruno's forever home and family, this guy absolutely deserves to find his "happily ever after." Could it be with you?

12/16/24 01:37Doggy Day Out Report:Today I got to see my friend again today, so exciting! She took me for a ride in a car, and I told her all the wonderful stories that I wanted to share. We took a long walk and I got to learn so many new things with my nose! I did not want to miss out on the sniffing at all, even in the deep bushes. I saw many bikers, other humans – they don’t really bother me, but dogs are pretty interesting! I am small and senior, but I am so happy going on these long walks and still have energy at the end. On my way back I rested my head close to my friend’s ear and made her smile with my snorting. I cannot wait to go walking with her again.Three Words to Describe Me are: Patient, Curious and EnergeticNotes from My Walker: This was Angie’s second trip with me. She was so happy coming out for her walk, got leashed and jumped into the car. This time she was quite vocal in the car telling me lots of her stories. We went on a 31/2 mile walk and she was all about sniffing the whole time. She loves putting her face into the bushes to make sure she did not miss any news in the area. We went to PetFood Express and she got a treat that she actually loved. On the ride back she was very relaxed and took a brief nap in the car. She is an absolute pleasure to go walking with every time. 12/01/24 23:42Dog Day Out ReportToday I: Met 2 new friends and went on an adventure! My friends took me for a ride in a car – I love to take rides! I can jump in all by myself and I can help watch where we go! Then we took a long walk and I got to learn so many new things with my nose! I saw cars and bikes and people and dogs – they don’t really bother me, but dogs are pretty interesting! The most interesting thing though are squirrels! I am small and senior, but I bet I could catch one! After the walk we went to a store where I got to do lots of sniffing! Oh, and did I mention treats?! Yum! I showed off my “Sit” for those!Three Words to Describe Me are: Sweet – Energetic - SpunkyNotes from My Walker: This was Angie’s first time out on DDO. With seniors we often expect to go slow and take our time. Well, Angie may be senior, but she still has Staffy energy and excitement! She immediately was ready to be leashed and harnessed, she jumped into the car and waited patiently to be seatbelted in. On the drive, she was interested in the sights and smells, and the treats of course! She walked at a great clip for approx. 4
