Story

Kona is a fun-loving adventurous female mix that was saved from the county shelter in May. Kona uses the doggie door, enjoys her morning walks and weekend trips for a pup cup. We have an elderly small dog that we have had for 13 years. and both have gotten along great for the first 4-1/2 months. They now do not, and we are beyond devastated. We think this might be because Kona has become extremely possessive of me and now settling in possible being territorial. Behavior training is out of the question because my wife was a victim of a dog attack by 2 dogs and is creating a very uneasy PTSD type feeling often. I as the husband travel through the week and has created a significant challenge for us and now our new grandson. We have been dog owners all of our life and this is not an easy decision at all. We want the best for Kona as she does have a lot of love to give and deserves it back just as we have been giving her. Kona has been around plenty of people when we have family events
