Missy is a gentle, sweet senior girl who has been through so much in her life, and she’s now ready to find the loving home she deserves. At 10.5 years old, Missy spent over three years living in a kennel at a boarding facility after her owner became homeless. Thankfully, our rescue stepped up in October to save her, and while she’s doing well in our care, Missy would love to spend her golden years in a forever home where she can receive the love and attention she’s been missing for so long. Missy is a calm and affectionate girl who thrives in a home setting. She’s fully housetrained, enjoys playing with stuffed animals and balls, and will greet you with her beautiful smile once she feels comfortable with you. While she can be shy at first, Missy is quick to form strong bonds with her people and is a loyal companion. She gets along with dogs her size and is not reactive to others, but she would do best in a home without cats or small dogs. Missy knows basic commands like "sit," takes her food and treats gently, and rides well in the car. She enjoys leisurely walks and would thrive in a quiet home, ideally with no children, as she’s a bit timid around them. Missy truly deserves the warmth and love of a family that will cherish her. Could you be the one to give Missy the forever home she’s been waiting for? If you're interested in fostering or adopting this sweet girl, please reach out to us. Missy is ready to bring her love, loyalty, and companionship into your life.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 18, 2025, 6:49 pm

Story
Hey there, I'm Michonne, and I'm here to tell you that age really is just a number. At 9 years young, I'm full of life and love. After spending over 250+ days at the county shelter, I'm now enjoying some rest and relaxation in foster care, but what I'm really looking forward to is finding my forever family. I'm the perfect mix of playful and sweet. I love a good game just as much as I enjoy a gentle cuddle. I'm ready to bring joy, fun, and lots of tail wags into your life. If you think I could be the perfect addition to your family, have your people get in touch with my new people. I can't wait to meet you and start our amazing journey together!

Story
Hi, I'm Oak, and I'm currently eagerly awaiting my forever home. My journey so far has been filled with discovery, affection, and lots of learning. I've quickly adapted to crate training, finding my crate to be a safe and comfortable space. It's my personal haven where I can unwind and rest. Car rides have been a delightful experience too. I behave well, enjoying the sights and sounds as we travel. Bath time is surprisingly fun for me. I stay calm and cooperative, making it an easy task for my foster family. It's always nice to be clean and ready for more cuddles. Speaking of cuddles, I'm very affectionate – a real stage 5 clinger! I adore being close to people, whether it's curling up for a nap or following them around the house. I'm always up for a good snuggle session. One of my favorite things in the world is belly rubs. Lying on my back, getting those gentle scratches, is just the best feeling ever. I'm looking forward to finding a permanent home where I can share all my love and joy. I'm ready to bring smiles, affection, and lots of happy moments to my forever family.

Story
Woof! I'm Cookie, the senior pup with a heart full of love to share! I absolutely adore being brushed, it's like a spa day for me! And let me tell you, hot dogs are my weakness. They make my tail wag with delight. One thing you can count on with me is gentleness. I'm a sweet and calm girl who loves giving kisses to show my affection. I am also an avid TV watching and love to bindge watch any movie or TV series. I'm the perfect companion for a relaxed and loving home. Just one thing to note: I'm not a fan of small animals, so let's keep it just us, okay? If you're looking for a senior sweetheart to bring love and warmth into your life, I'm here, ready to be your loyal and loving companion.

Story
Who can resist that derpy little face! Gene is initially a shy boy who takes time to warm up to new people. Over the past year, we've worked hard to build a relationship with him and our other dogs, including collaborating with R+ trainers. Though we have seen improvements, unfortunately, things haven't progressed as we had hoped. Gene is a wonderful, affectionate, silly boy …it breaks our hearts that we haven’t been able to make it work with him and the others…just like people sometimes personalities just clash. We believe Gene deserves a chance at success and ultimately that could mean a different home. While he prefers to be an only pet, he has enjoyed short play sessions with gently playful/tolerant dogs. We're seeking a dedicated family that can give Gene the confidence and love he needs to truly shine. Until then, he will remain with us. If you have a soft spot for helping a timid dog come out of their shell, Gene might just be the perfect match for you!
