Thank you for your interest in adopting Charlie! Charlie lives in a foster home close to Montevallo. We’d be happy to set up a meet and greet at your home or at a park. He’s good in the yard, he will bark at a cat if he sees one, he’s good with small and larger dogs, and he’s learning to be a valued companion. Charlie is neutered, micro chipped, rabies, and other vaccines, heartworm, negative, and he receives monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Adoption fee $200. A true fenced yard will be required. Serious adopters should fill out the application online. Copy and paste the link into your browser. https://form.jotform.com/212574701956157

Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting Charlie! Charlie lives in a Foster Home near Montevallo. We would be happy to set up a meet and greet with an approved Adopter. Charlie was abandoned on the side of a rural highway with another dog back in July. We promise every stray that we rescue to find them a forever home. He thrives on a routine and is perfectly crate trained. He’s wonderful in a chain link fenced yard. Never digs or tries to get out. He loves his foster friend, Maggie. She’s available too! Charlie has never lived with cats, and he will bark at the cats he’s seen outside. He has not lived with children, but he has been fine around the school age kids that visit his foster home. Charlie has a nice dog. He needs someone to give him the time and attention that he deserved before his loser owner left him on the highway. He’s never shown dominance or aggression. He’s got a big head that can be intimidating to some, but he doesn’t know what he looks like! If you need a friend. If you can afford to feed and care for this dog, please consider meeting him. He is shy at first and will need 3-4 days to come out of his shell, but he’s worth adopting. See his video on Another Chance Dog Rescue facebook page. Adoption fee $200 Please fill out the application online and we will be in touch with you. https://form.jotform.com/212574701956157

Story
This gorgeous girl is Melody! Melody is a sweet girl that LOVES to be active and to be outside. Her very favorite toy is a rubber kong that she can safely chew on! She can be a little shy at first, but when she gets comfortable with you she LOVES to get tummy rubs! She likes to "rule the roost" so she will need to be any only dog- no cats and no other dogs. She has been around her pup foster siblings but does not like them. Melody is potty trained and crate trained! If her foster family is gone during the day she is crated and does very well. She is possessive over her food bowl so she prefers to be left alone while eating. Her foster family crates her and walks out of the room while she is eating to make her feel more secure. She’s really just afraid someone is going to take her food from her... Melody will be a great companion to the right family. If your family would be a perfect match for her, please apply! Story
Introducing the most handsome boy, Dave. The beginning of Dave’s life wasn’t the best, but you would never know it as this boy’s smile lights up the room and he is just full of love. 💙🐾 Dave is smitten with every person he meets and is also absolutely fantastic with other dogs and has a wonderful submissive personality. Dave seems to be housetrained and isn’t a destructive boy though he does love romping around with any and all toys. 🐶❤️ Dave adores attention and two and four legged friends and would love a family that includes him on their adventures, whether they be hikes or snuggling up for a Netflix marathon. This handsome boy still gets excited about greeting new people so either a family that is willing to work with him on that or one without toddlers would be best.🫶🏻 This gorgeous, loving boy is ready to live the good life with his forever family and he’s hoping it might be you! 🎉😊 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel.
