Story
Nyssa is a total sweetheart! I have known her since she was a kitten, as she was my friend's cat initially. She’s loyal, vocal at mealtimes, loves to sit in your lap, and purrs when you pet her. She’s been my work from home companion for almost three years now. I adopted her from a friend who had gotten married, and when she moved in with her husband and his bull terrier, the cat was always frightened. So I decided to adopt her. She loves to keep me company by sleeping on my desk or underneath, by my feet. She’s gentle, playful, and quite curious. Due to my travel schedule, I am needing to find her a new forever home so that she is not on her own the majority of the time.

Story
We are looking for a household with few cats for our 3 year old tuxedo. • Brought him in as a stray in 2021 • Friendly and non-aggressive towards humans • Very curious and sneaky. Loves running through any interior door you open. • Likes to play and roughhouse • Not very cuddly but likes being pet once he gets to know you • Can be a bit of a bully to other cats, which is why we’re rehoming him. He doesn’t do well with female cats for the most part. • He might do well in a household with an older male cat since he was real close to our 16 y/o male before he passed away, or in a single cat household with lots of enrichment. • Has a female littermate who we are also rehoming • Appreciates company • Picky eater but loves treats Overall I just want to make sure he goes to the best home for him!

Story

We are looking for a household with one to no cats for our 3 year old tuxedo. • Brought her in as a stray in 2021 • Loves to chat. Can carry a conversation once she warms up to you and shakes her tail excitingly while doing so. • Does NOT like to be touched but if you're patient, she might let you pat her. • Dosn't get along with other cats very well. Most suited for a single cat household. Right now she lives with several. • Independent and low-maintenance when she's relaxed and not stressed. Lately she has been hiding from her brother (also listed here) and a male kitten in the household which is unfortunately why we have to rehome her. • Very shy around people she doesn't know and new environments, so she might take a while to get settled in • A little bit of an attitude and free spirit but overall a sweet lady deep down I want to make sure she finds her forever home that she can thrive in!

Story
Dustin, a 2 to 3-year-old aprox, showed up unexpectedly at my sister's house one day. He's a good boy, very sweet, and seems to have been an indoor cat before becoming homeless on the streets. Unfortunately, my sister already has two elderly cats, so she can't keep Dustin inside. This leaves him vulnerable to attacks from feral cats, dogs, and other dangers. Before his surgery, Dustin was attacked by another cat, resulting in several wounds, scratches, and bites. He also has two puncture wounds, which led both me and the vets to believe a dog may have attacked him while he was living on the streets. On Monday, October 21, Dustin was neutered at the Spay Neuter Society, and while his tests came back FLV-negative, he tested positive for FIV, meaning he'll need special care. Unfortunately, I can't take care of him because I'm currently staying at my sister's house, and she was initially reluctant to let him in. However, I convinced her to let Dustin stay for a week during his recovery.

Story
Spirit is a small, dainty and gentle cat. Her triangular face, large ears, slanted eyes, and aquiline nose give her an exotic look. She came into rescue at only six months old and was already halfway through a pregnancy. She was a diligent mom to three big, healthy kittens, who now have wonderful homes. Spirit isn’t a lap cat, but she does adore being petted and enjoys being carried around – she even likes having her belly stroked! She turned one year old in August and is still only 8 pounds and playful like a kitten. She loves chasing toys, climbing, using her scratch pad, and exploring the house to hunt for bugs. She plays very gently with the senior male cat in her foster home. She is intimidated by cats who play too rough, but she would love to be the companion of a senior cat or a smaller cat or kitten. She’s also completely comfortable with the large, gentle dog in her foster home. And because she enjoys the company of humans, and plays independently much of the time, she would probably be happy as an only cat. November 5, 2024, 8:53 pm
