Booty was a kitten from a litter at our house. I named him Booty because all four paws have white on them. Very sweet cat.

Story
Hi! I found these kittens underneath of my ground level decking, and took them in around the beginning of summer! They are house trained, and good with dogs and cats! It’s urgent that I rehome them due to moving… we thought they’d be rehomed by now! Please let me know if you’re interested! I want them to go to good homes, thus no rehoming fee! I cannot keep them any longer, if you’re interested (even as a foster) please let me know!

Story
Penelope came to us as a dump one morning that we found after a rainy day :( She was found by our sign with a small puddle of water at the bottom of a box with two other kittens. It took no time for us to see that she was pregnant but had a rotting tail. We had to wait for her to have her sweet kittens, which happened within days, before we could address her tail. All of her kittens have long been adopted and she still waits for her forever family. She does have a little stub of tail BUT it makes it that much better when you see that little butt wiggle with content. Penelope has been spayed and is looking for her forever home! The adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations and wormings, spay or neuter surgery, Frontline application, collar, ID tag and a cardboard pet taxi. Shelter hours are Tuesday to Friday from 11 am to 4 pm and the first and third Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. Story
If you are interesting in meeting any of our pets, the process is to complete an application.  It can be downloaded as a pdf document from our website and submitted by email to WindyRidgeRescue@gmail.com  as a scanned document or as photos OR can be completed entirely online. Both links are in the header of our website.   Because we are foster based, we require an approved application to schedule a meet and greet. We feel that is fair to our fosters and rescues so every meet and greet can result in an adoption. A limited number of cats are showcased at Peetco in Sumter, SC weekly.  &#226&#128&#139We do not have set adoption fees for dogs, but hope adopters will donate generously so we can rescue more. The medical care for every dog can easily exceed the adoption donation.  Average adoption fees for dogs in the area range from $175 up to $450. Your generous adoption donations help us continue our programs of providing quality food and medical care to those who pass through our fosters.  We ask for a minimum adoption donation of $70 for cats who are not yet altered and $100 for cats who are already spayed or neutered, regardless of age.  Please bring your own carrier for the ride home!  Each cat is up to date on vaccinations, dewormer, and microchipped.  Larger donations are always welcome so we can rescue more.  Medical care for each cat easily exceeds the minimum donation.   &#226&#128&#139As with every rescue, our resources are limited and the need for rescue help is unlimited. Your generosity helps us to rescue more and funds the only Trap Neuter Return Program in the county.  It's like tossing $100 bills in the woods when we trap a cat, vaccinate and spay or neuter that cat and then return them to the colony. Young kittens are tamed and available for adoption. We are alone doing this in our area. Your increased donation at the time of adoption can help us cover costs for the cat becoming part of your family as well as a feral to prevent more feral litters.  &#226&#128&#139Adopting or fostering for a rescue frees up a space where a new rescue can reside.  &#226&#128&#139If you can't adopt or foster, than please consider donating.  August 26, 2024, 3:27 pm

Story
I found stormy about 6 years ago outside in a bush in our back yard. It was below freezing that night. So I picked him up and brought him inside. I could tell right away that he had been abused before he made his way to me because he was very scared and very hungry. So i fed him and made sure he had everything he needed. Now 6 years later he is doing great. Unfortunately due to the prior abuse he endured he has FLUTD (which is lower urinary tract disease) He does have accidents sometimes on the floor but bless his heart he can't help it. The reason why I'm rehoming him is because he is currently with My mom and she can no longer take care of him and unfortunately I can't have pets where I'm currently living. Stormy is an absolute sweet heart he loves to play, and run around. He loves lap time and he will meow at you for pets. He is strictly an indoor cat due to his illness. I just want him to find and experienced adoptor that will love him as much as I do.

Story
Stormy is a very very sweet boy. He is 6 years old and i have had him sweet he was 8 weeks old. I found him crying in a bush in my backyard. If was below freezing that night so I brought him in and he has been with me ever since ❤️ He loves to run and play. He is strictly an indoor only. He won't go outside. He does have special needs. He was diagnosed with FLUTD back in 2019 which means he has lower urinary tract disease. He frequently has accidents outside the litter box. But he is so full of love. I want who ever adopts him to be experienced or can leave how to take care of a special needs cat. I will want to meet any adopters who may be interested only because I want him to go to a good and loving home
