Story
Penelope came to us as a dump one morning that we found after a rainy day :( She was found by our sign with a small puddle of water at the bottom of a box with two other kittens. It took no time for us to see that she was pregnant but had a rotting tail. We had to wait for her to have her sweet kittens, which happened within days, before we could address her tail. All of her kittens have long been adopted and she still waits for her forever family. She does have a little stub of tail BUT it makes it that much better when you see that little butt wiggle with content. Penelope has been spayed and is looking for her forever home! The adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations and wormings, spay or neuter surgery, Frontline application, collar, ID tag and a cardboard pet taxi. Shelter hours are Tuesday to Friday from 11 am to 4 pm and the first and third Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. Story
Chaco, born in 2021, is a beautiful rare chocolate kitty. I rescued him off the street when he was around a year old because he had an injured foot that was infected. After healing, he was vaccinated, neutered and he tested negative for Felv/Fiv. He was such a a docile kitty and by the time his foot healed, The owners of the property did not want another cat being released to the same area. We actually wanted to keep Chaco but we have two other cats that bully him and keep him in a state of fear. He seems to do well with other friendly cats and our dog as well. We've never witnessed him around kids. Chaco, while skittish, is friendly and desires relationship but needs time to settle in and realize that he's in a safe environment. Once he feels safe and sees that you bring him food and can efficiently administer butt scratches, he looks for opportunities to relate. He's also litter box trained. He's going to make someone very happy.

Story
We moved into a home a year and a half ago that came with an adult female that had kittens. Fast forward to now and they have been living in our home for over a year now. We keep bird feeders so I don’t like feeding outdoor cats, so the inside part is non negotiable around here. We have other cats that moved with us and one is a male that really doesn’t like Cookie Jr. (she looks just like her mom). Cookie Jr. is not an assertive cat and displays a very timid personality. We rarely see her as she’s usually hiding somewhere and we don’t think she is flourishing as well as she could as a member of our home. She is allergic to fleas and will groom compulsively if she gets them but we keep her monthly flea medicine application up to date. She is sweet and likes to cuddle but we’re afraid the male has gotten her a few good times when we weren’t home and now she stays under the couch 90% of the time. Going through the pictures is sad, she used to be so content here.
