Story
Pootz was found outside when he was a kitten. We believe he is about 2. He is very playful. He does bite and can be territorial. He is declawed (front) and neutered. We have no other pets so unknown on how he will do with other animals. If you are looking for a mellow cat, pootz may not be what you’re looking for… He is an orange cat so he has quite the personality. Loves to play and snuggle but on his own time. We are looking to rehome him as we are moving and they do not allow pets.

Casper is a very affectionate cat who loves to spend time with his people. He gets along well with dogs but can get aggressive with some other cats so needs a 1 cat only household. He is strictly an indoor cat.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!We are constantly being asked to help find a home for a helpless cat.  Typically it is someone is moving or the owner has died and there are only days to keep it from being tossed on the street or ending up in a kill shelter.PLEASE tell us what you are looking for in your next cat and we will process you application and call you when we have 'a fit'Thank you for caring enough to adopt instead of shop!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!October 14, 2024, 6:08 pm

I was scared and I had no where to go. I had my babies alone under a deck :(  Finally someone saw me and my babies and called 2nd Chance, but unfortunately by then I had lost one of my babies :(  Now my 3 other little ones and me are safe in the arms of 2nd Chance. I'm spayed, housetrained, had my shots and am super sweet. I love kids but I am not fond of dogs. I can tolerate cats but would prefer to be an only pet. I am ready for someone to love me FUREVERVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Story
Tobey is a wonderful orange tabby who is very tame and good with other cats and dogs and has lived with my kids and been a wonderful pet. He is overweight but recently was at the vet for updated shots. Just is on a diet. Otherwise no issues. We are devastated and looking for a forever home. We move to our new place 2/1 which is not allowing pets.

Story
Roscoe is an elderly cat. We are unsure exactly how old he is bc he was adopted 15 years ago and he was an adult. He has a history of distemper that he survived as a child so he is dizzy and wobbly but has been like this for many years. We are devastated to find him a new home. But we are motivated to find good people to help us. He is not on any medications. He has not been to the vet in about two years bc he is primarily indoor and he has a little brother Tobey who we also need to rehome.

Story
Rosie and Simba are two little lovebugs looking for a home, alongside the rest of their litter! These two little angels are from a mixed litter, and are between 6-8 months old. They were found as part of a roaming cat colony in our neighborhood, and we quickly took them in once we managed to coax them out of hiding. They've been through a lot this year; between losing some of their littermates before we took them in and lots of moving around, they're looking to settle down with a warm, happy, and loving family. As experienced cat owners, we will send Rosie and Simba home with you alongside a guide to keeping your new kittens happy and healthy! Rosie and Simba are a bonded pair, and love to sleep, cuddle, and play together! They're almost inseparable, and are always very excited to see you. If you're interested, we do have two other bonded pairs to go as well! The more the merrier!
