Story
Merlin was found as a friendly stray with an injured leg -- he was checked out by a vet and no broken bones; believed to have had a sprain. He is recovering great and walking well on it again. He is a sweet boy, about 8 months old -- he's going to be a big boy! Merlin has a $125 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab on Petfinder does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. You will receive an email confirmation when your application goes through. We make no breed guarantees, we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered, volunteer run 501c3 non-profit organization. Free transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Story
Ed is an 11 year old (going on 12) male cat. He is a goofy character and really misses having a playmate. Because he is lonely and bored, he has been vocal and getting into some mischief. If you give him some kindness and understanding he will eventually ask to be little spoon and take naps with you. He would prefer not to be separated from his human or playmate and can get a little anxious. He is up to date on his vet records and is a healthy guy looking for the right environment. I would be happy to work on a slow introduction. I love him and want the best for him. We are located in Upper Arlington!

Story
Original owner passed away. Need home for two cats. Cats are between 1-3 years old, unfortunately not much is known. They are sweet cats, generally aloof; but will show affection and appreciate a good pet. Don't have to take both, but can obviously if you want. Just hoping to find them homes.

Story
I brought her back from Hawaii when I was there for work. She was part of one of the many cat colonies on the island. Was about 16 weeks when I first got her. Nervous at first but WILL warm up. Loves to sleep with you when she feels at home. I have 4 other cats and they beat up on her…One male in particular. Not sure why. It’s not fair to her and I feel bad. I have given it plenty of time and it Just seems to be getting Worse. I love her and it breaks my heart. I Want her to be happy. She’s a good kitty but spends a lot of her time hiding behind the dryer because she’s so stressed out.

Story
Got Raven when she was about a year old, mostly feral from a local shelter. She has been with me for 3.5 years. My partner helped to domestic her. She can be held, likes head and chin scratches, can hold to cut nails, LOVES cat nip and churu treats. Comes to her name if she knows you and or you have treats. We can no longer keep her as whenever she doesn’t get her way she will find our other older cat and beat her up, often times working herself into a fit and vomiting. Would be best as the only cat in the home. Like to sit on her persons lap and sleep with periodically in bed with her person. The calming collars work well on her as she get very anxious whenever there is anything new and will vomit. Very playful and like to be included in around the house activities( she will come sit in the kitchen on the floor and watch me cook) likes to sit at dinning room chairs when we are eating! She doesn’t scratch furniture or eat cords and can be convinced plants are bad to eat.

Story
Gryffon is a sweet boy. He loves people and is good with chill dogs. I am moving and will be living with my mom who is allergic. He is on special urinary tract health food (Purina) as he gets crystals in his urine if he doesn't. He loves to lay in your lap but doesn't really like being picked up. His auto-clean litter box, water fountain and food dish will acompany him. I have a female cat that will also be rehomed that he invades her space and they fight. That is the only experience he has with other cats. He may do fine with a non-territorial cat.
