Story
Due to unforeseen circumstances we find ourselves having to Rehome our sweet kitty, she has been with us since she was a kitten. Luna may take some time warming up to a new environment and people but once she does she loves to sit on your lap and just sleep. Especially if there are blankets involved, she loves to chase lasers and go after anything crinkly. She likes to find a “spot” and just stays there most of the time if cuddles aren’t an option. She’s fine with our 80 dog, and we used to have another cat that passed away a few years ago who she tolerated.. she’s not a huge fan of other cats but after an adjustment period has been fine with anything. We have an infant who had pulled her tail a few times and she will meow but hasn’t done anything past that so I believe she may do better in a home with no small children. She is 7 years old and is mostly black, she has a white spot on her chest and belly, she is on the smaller side maybe 7-10 lbs.

Story
Sophie is a senior female spayed cat. She weighs approximately 6 lbs. I rescued her and her brother 16 years ago. He has since passed. Sophie is very timid and shy. She is not a lap cat. She does love for you to pet her and she will puuuuurrrr for you (on her terms of course). She would do well in a home that is more quiet and less active. She has not been around another cat since her brother passed 5 years ago. Given time and the right environment, I’m sure she would warm up to an older cat or dog. The reason I’m looking to rehome Sophie is because my husband and I are now retired. We sold our home and we are moving to a senior living community where they dont allow pets. Sophie loves her Fancy Feast cat food and she still uses the litter box and drinks only water. She is not on any medication. Must be a non smoking home. She needs someone with patience and someone who is gentle with her.

Story
Bunny is a chill, gentle cat approximately 12 years old that I've had for 9 years when his original owner could no longer care for him. He likes to be around company sitting on the sidelines watching and is friendly with everyone. He doesn't like being picked up and will struggle to get out of your arms if you do but loves to be pet and can do tricks like high five, handshake and lie down (if treats are involved - he doesn't work for free). Only in the past year he's become difficult to take care of. He's been diagnosed with diabetes but seems to be a symptom of a greater issue that vets think might be acromegaly. Treatment for it is not an option for me financially and I am trying to simply manage his diabetes giving him increasing amounts of insulin as he displays signs of excessive water drinking and peeing for whatever life he has left. He is a fighter and has no problem eating, however he has started peeing outside the litter box and I am no longer able to properly care for him.

Story
Look out! Here comes Apricot! He was found in a vehicle’s engine in a busy downtown area by the vehicle owner’s dog, Percy. Percy would not get into the vehicle and kept barking and pulling on his leash at the front of the car. The owner looked under the car, checked the tires, finally popped the hood and there was Apricot, meowing up a storm. He was almost named Suburban but Apricot, to agree with his orange, won the naming contest. Apricot was lonely and scared but has adjusted to his new, cozy life in the home of a foster with numerous kitties to help guide and comfort him during this transition. He has settled in very well and is bonded with his new friend, Burrito. When he is not sleeping on top of the warm laundry pile, he is helping fold the laundry. It’s not working out very well. He unfolds more than the folds, by a lot. He also likes to sleep on top of the mail, often eating the bills, which I don’t object to. I just wish he would pay them instead. Apricot has been such a joy to my life. And soon to be a joy to your life!   If you are interested in adopting Apricot, please fill out an adoption application here  https://miasmafia.org/adoption-application You must live within 60 miles of the Raleigh, NC area in order to qualify for adoption. Approx DOB 02/01/2024 Adoption fee is $110.00 ##2310260##

Story
Smoky is an 8 year old precious and friendly 3-legged cat. She loves to be close by for snuggles and pets. She loves to be brushed, rubbed around her neck, and under her jaw. Her 3 legs don’t slow her down and she’s great with stairs, hoping on and off beds, etc. Smoky likes to be close by but she also likes a little alone time here and there. She used to have another cat friend in the home and she had no issues! She does well around babies and toddlers, but mostly keeps to herself or hangs out in another room when youngsters are around. She’s shy at first, but once you get to know her, she loves a good chat and to keep you company! Seeking a new home due to our toddler developing a cat allergy, which was managed for some time but now we have a newborn and are unable to continue managing allergens in the home.
