Story
Have you ever looked around your home and thought “I need to add some excitement to my life”? Well then Crow is the cat for you! This adorable little dude will add love and lightness to almost any home by wanting to be constantly involved in whatever it is you’re doing, whether it’s hanging out on the couch watching tv or unloading groceries or making dinner, he wants to be involved and always helps with whatever it is. The fact that his helping occasionally leads to making a bit of a bigger mess, well, that’s not his fault - he does only have paws after all. We originally met Crow back when he was about 4 months old after he had been brought into the ACC as a stray. He’s now about a year and a half old and we don’t know anything of his history, we do know that he loves to explore and loves to investigate which is what earned him his name (well that and the white tip to his tail)! Crow is always the first to greet any new cats we bring into our cat room and he is always excited for new friends, sometimes to his detriment. He can come on a little strong and can be a bit too insistent on playing with older cats who want nothing to do with him. He would do great with younger cats who have just as much energy as he does and he does pretty well with kids and would do best in a home with kids over 7 or so. He hasn’t had a ton of experience with dogs, but would most likely get along with one after some adjustment time. Crow is neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on all of his vaccines! We don’t have any set adoption fees, but do ask that a donation be made at the time of adoption, and for Crow we are asking for a donation of $150, since he’s over a year old. If you are interested in adopting Crow, you can fill out an adoption application for him on our website, waywardranch.org, or reach out if you have any questions!

Story
This shy little girl was caught with the rest of her family as part of a colony near to us, and while she’s still settling in and getting used to not having to fend for herself, it’s obvious that she’s going to be an absolute sweetheart once she starts to let her personality shine through her uncertainty. Saffron was trapped with her three kittens - Tiny, Sparkles, and Sandy (who are also looking for homes!)- and her sister, Truffles and Saffron is definitely the shyest of the family. Since they moved into our cat room, Saffron has started to settle in, but she still likes to hang out in out of the way places, like the middle of a cat tree or partially behind a curtain, where she’ll be able to see what’s going on but not immediately spotted, but if you go up to her slowly and let her sniff you before trying to pet her, she’ll reward you by leaning into the scritches and starting the quietest little purr you’ve ever heard. Because she’s so shy, right now we’re looking to place her in a home with no kids or kids who are older than 10, since loud noises still scare her and she’s gotten along well with the other cats in the room, so she would be okay with one or two cat friends (and would probably do extremely well if she could be adopted with her sister!). We haven’t dog tested her yet, but would probably do best in a home without dogs. Saffron is about a year old, spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and microchipped, so she’d be ready to go into her new home as soon as we are able to find her one! We don’t have any set adoption fees, but do ask that a donation be made at the time of adoption, and for Saffron we are asking for a donation of $250. If you are interested in adopting Saffron you can fill out an adoption application for her on our website, waywardranch.org, or let us know if you have any questions!

Sparkles is definitely the spunkiest of the three siblings and isn’t afraid to let someone know when he doesn’t want something, usually by hissing and trying to run away. However, once you catch him and he realized that he is getting pet, he usually settles down, unless you happen to make eye contact with him, then he hisses again to let you know that he’s only letting this happen but he’s not thrilled about it. He is however, thrilled to play with and chase toys around the room, so that’s how we’ve been trying to win him over, balancing the cuddling time with the playtime and he’s already come a long way from the scared hissy baby he was when he came to us a few weeks ago. He and his siblings had been caught with his mom and aunt, outside an empty house where they had been all alone. Because of this, they’re going to need a family who’s willing to give them a chance to warm up to them, but is also going to be insistent on spending time with them and not letting the kittens hide from them. We think Sparkles and his brothers are about 3 months old, so they aren’t quite ready to go home just yet, but they will be as soon as they’re neutered. We’re hoping that by mid-october they’ll be ready to go to their forever homes and would love to have those homes lined up beforehand. We would love for the brothers to be adopted together, but if that’s not possible, we are looking to place them in homes with other cats. Sparkles and his siblings will be neutered, microchipped, and up to date on their vaccinations by the time they’re ready to go home, so if you want to be considered to be their forever home, the time to apply is now! We don’t have any set adoption fees, but do ask that a donation be made at the time of adoption, and for Sparkles we are asking for a donation of $250. You can find the application on our website, waywardranch.org, or let us know if you have any questions!

Story
Sandy went from being a feral kitten living with his family outside an abandoned house, to here with us, in our cat room, with humans who keep trying to pet him and other cats who keep trying to play with him and he is VERY confused about this complete change in his day to day life and isn’t sure he likes it. Because of this, Sandy will need a family who understands why he’s so shy, but also one who will stay consistent in his socializing so that he learns that people mean good things. Luckily he’s pretty easily drawn into playing, either with his siblings or with string toys, so it shouldn’t take too long to win him over, and he’s already so much better than he was when they first arrived! We think Sandy and his brothers are about 3 months old, so they aren’t quite ready to go home just yet, but they will be as soon as they’re neutered. We’re hoping that by mid-october they’ll be ready to go to their forever homes and would love to have those homes lined up beforehand. Story
Tiny is the chillest of his siblings and is the one who’s accepted his new lifestyle the fastest. He’s still not super thrilled about these humans who keep waking him up from his naps to pet him, but he’s accepted that it’s a part of his life now. He loves to play with his siblings and you’ll see him wrestling with them usually right around 6 or 7 pm, when they get their zoomies and go crazy for a bit, otherwise he can usually be found napping, curled up with his brother, Sandy, or his mom, Saffron. He and his siblings had been caught with his mom and aunt, outside an empty house where they had been all alone. Because of this, they’re going to need a family who’s willing to give them a chance to warm up to them, but is also going to be insistent on spending time with them and not letting the kittens hide from them.
