Story
Tally Cheetah is a gorgeous girl who LOVES other kitties and would make a wonderful companion to another kitty.  She’s a bit of a diva and as far as people go, she is still questioning if they’re ok or not.  She enjoys watching them, playing with them especially if they have a wand toy (her all time favorite game) and thinks they’re great when they feed her any food or treats.  But she’d rather you didn’t touch her and mess with her gorgeous coat.  She is looking for a home where people will admire her beauty from afar until a real relationship is established.  Until then she’d love to play with your other cats or kittens and allow you the pleasure of her presence.  Tally Cheetah has energy for days and is truly as fast as a cheetah.  She hunts her little pink and purple mice toys like a Cheetah going for an antelope on the Serengeti!  Just don’t tell her it is not that serious. As a general rule, we recommend that young kittens only go in pairs or to households that already have another pet. Young kittens on their own, no matter how much attention they get from humans, usually get bored and tend to be more destructive.  They need another animal to help socialize them (to learn how to appropriately wrestle, boundaries, etc).  Most times having another cat is the best, though some may be okay with a gentle dog. You can see more pictures and videos of our fosters on our facebook page:  Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet. ##2188712##

Story
Debbie Thornberry is a love deep down but can act like a “I’m too cool for you" teen when you first meet her, just like the character in the cartoon.  She will sit back while her siblings act ridiculous chasing the wand toy and the look on her face says it all “I don’t know what’s wrong with you all”.  But just when she thinks no one is watching her starts in and then can’t help herself!  She also pretends to ignore you when you first start petting her, but after a minute or two she begins to melt in.  She is one that people need to take time to know but once you do she’s loyal and so affectionate. Story
Eliza Thornberry is true to the nature of her namesake  Eliza is always ready for adventure. Her natural curiosity means she often leaps before she looks, for example running out of the kitten room to realize she has no idea where she’s ended up, but is up for the adventure that lies ahead.  She loves to play especially with the wand toys and little balls with jingles in them!  She is content being held and likes the side of her cheeks rubbed best and will lean in hard for more! Story
Donnie Thornberry, like his cartoon namesake is a bit of a wild child. He has lots of energy and loves to explore and play. He is brave and fearless but can also be reckless. Getting himself ridiculous situations without thinking and then crying for help, as he is still just a baby!  He can seem a little weary of new people at first and takes more time to warm up but comes around once he knows he’s safe and loved.  He needs someone who can continue his process of learning that people are kind and safe and he can enjoy the affection! Story
Just like his namesake, Baby Poe loves to tell stories of mystery and adventure. Fortunately, though, Poe’s days of actual adventure in the dark and dangerous world are over. These days Poe is safely focusing on his “purritry.”  He loves nothing better, not even Annabelle Lee, than a cozy warm lap where he can safely let his imagination and his verses run free. Poe is learning how to play too, but he still prefers more refined activities like story telling.  He and his mama Raven were found out at a local lake when he was already a teen.  Mama ran off but left him in our care and he's truly started to shine.
