- Laid back, independent and playful kitty - Likes being petted on her head and back- When feeling playful likes toy balls and catnip toys - Loves cat treats!- Not a fan of being carried This cat has shown signs of overstimulation while in the shelter. Lots of handling, playing with hands, and excessive petting can cause them to overstimulate, which can result in scratching and/or biting. This cat is looking for experienced cat owners who will watch this cat's body language while interacting to note signs of overstimulation (tail waving, fur rippling, dilated pupils, ears turned back and quick body movements) and be willing to respect their boundaries. This cat will also benefit from interactive toys such as wands and ball spinners while playing. We are happy to speak with you more when you visit and can provide post-adoption resources. Hermes is about 4 years old. He and my older cat have never really bonded (they mostly just tolerate each other) and I'm planning to move within the next year and am hoping to find a home for him as going down to just my older cat would be much more manageable for me. He's very high energy so he likes to play and run around quite a bit. He likes wand toys and laser pointers a lot. I've been trying to get him outside on a leash and harness, but that's been just recently. He does need his food levels controlled or he will overeat (he was overweight for awhile but he's back down to a good weight now). Current on shots and healthy. Gets along good with strangers and with the vet. Generally a good natured cat, but a little on the anxious / high-strung side. Doesn't like car rides or being held for long. If you adopt him he can keep his carrier and harness.

Deja is an American shorthair brown tabby just about three years old. I got deja and her brother Boogie from one of my friends who could not take care of them anymore. For the past 2 years they've been good but for the past 6 months they've been aggressive towards my other cats and vet intervention hasn't improved this behavior. Deja is nervous of new women and is territorial towards other cats. She loves string, playing with water, and watching the ice machine. She also enjoys bird tv, is very talkative, and like to go on walks when harnessed. I think a new home for her would be best without other cats or with very few and lots of room. I think she would be happy with or without her brother with her. Never interacted with dogs or kids.
