Story
Little Miss, age 12, has been our beloved cat since she was a kitten. But with another child born into our family, we are unable to provide her the love and attention she deserves. Little Miss, although shy at first, is quite the cuddler! She loves nothing more than jumping up with you and soaking up all the pets and cuddles. She is very sweet! She is relatively low maintenance, (besides the occasional hairball) and is in overall great health. She does have some arthritis in her left hip, but it has not kept her from moving around as normal. She is up to date on all her shots.

Story
Are you ready to open your heart to an extra special feline friend? Look no further than Max, a 3.5-year-old male cat with a heart of gold and a unique condition: moderate cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). Cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) is a neurological condition where the cerebellum, the part of the brain responsible for coordination and balance, is underdeveloped. This underdevelopment can lead to symptoms such as tremors, uncoordinated movements, and difficulty with balance and spatial awareness. Cats with moderate cerebellar hypoplasia can still lead happy and fulfilling lives, especially in homes where they receive understanding and supportive care. Despite his condition, Max is a complete love bug who adores snuggling up right beside you and purring contentedly. While he may not be the rough-and-tumble type, he's definitely up for some gentle playtime, especially if it involves receiving pets and cuddles. His CH may somewhat limit him, but he's far from letting it hold him back. He's a pro at using the litter box and has no trouble enjoying his meals. Plus, he's quite adept at getting around, although he does need to avoid stairs and any over-enthusiastic dogs who might try to chase him. This observant and gentle soul is fantastic with kids and would likely do well with other calm animals who understand his needs. Max is truly the master of the love flop, ready to give you all the affection his big heart holds. Reach out to us today to learn more about welcoming Max into your loving home! For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. I hope to meet you soon! Our cats and kittens go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

Disclaimer: This animal is not in Anderson custody. and is a courtesy post to help a member of the community rehome directly without shelter intervention. Any adoption inquiries should be directed to the owner at Ellie2979@yahoo.com or (630) 391-3963. Anderson Humane makes no guarantees regarding medical or behavioral status of this animal, and the current owner is solely responsible for disclosing any challenges or concerns. Luke is so friendly, and quirky. I found him at 2 years old as a stray. No telling what he got into before that but I was told he might've fallen off a cargo truck from Georgia. He wasn't fixed and had worms. He was warming up one day under my ex-boyfriend's truck and then he became mine. FF 3 years. Luke is a charming, large, and fully healthy 5 year old and 1 month male cat. When inside, his favorite thing to so is sprawl out while he and his human watch tv. He is the best co-pilot.!! He also likes to daydream by the window, listening for critters or birds. When outside, he likes sprawling out on the cool ground, walking in gardens, and picking at plants. He has gotten loose 2 or 3 times, where I found him within the same day in the neighbors gardens, and once he just walked back to the front door where his food and water were. I brush him routinely with Burts Bees waterless shampoo. He is a very sheddy orange cat. The vet says American shorthair but I don't know where the "short hair" classification comes from because I could go on brushing him and removing hair from him for days. He acts like he doesn't like to be brushed but he does. He loves being a pretty boy. As long as you keep him clean he shouldn't provoke any allergy problems. His favorite toys and cat beds are anything colorful that is truly unique, just like him. He like crunchy treats and that is usually how I care for his dental health. I have also used minty gel which he really enjoys. He likes Shiba catfood, and meow mix dry food. If you mix it together for him that's just the best. Praying Luke and I find a forever home give him the stimulation, safe environment, and needs to be met that he deserves. Currently, my household has adopted a pitbull who is untrained and uncrated. And Luke is left for long periods of time, often days, in the master bedroom, where the dog barks and pushes/knocks at the door. I'm also 5 months pregnant and just want to find the right home and situation for him before the baby comes and there is even less I can do.... Please consider adopting this cutie!! It would mean the world to me!

Story
Meet Zoe, a gentle and shy kitty with a heart full of love to give. Zoe may seem reserved at first, but with a little patience and understanding, she will blossom into a sweet and affectionate companion. Her initial shyness is just her way of getting to know her new surroundings and the people in them. Once Zoe feels comfortable and secure, her true personality shines through. She adores gentle scratches and will eagerly seek out your attention when she feels at ease. Her sweet, loving nature makes her a wonderful companion for those who take the time to earn her trust. Zoe values her own space and enjoys quiet moments where she can relax and feel safe. A calm and understanding environment is ideal for her, where she can have her own cozy spot to retreat to whenever she needs. Zoe would thrive in a quieter home with patient and loving owners who can offer her the time she needs to adjust. Families or individuals who appreciate the unique bond that comes from earning a shy cat's trust will find a loyal and loving friend in Zoe. She would do best in a home without too much hustle and bustle, where she can feel safe and secure. Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. Story
If you're a fan of the song "What the world needs now is love sweet love," then I'm your guy! My main gig? Spreading love! You'll often find me tailing the shelter volunteers, weaving through their legs, letting them know I'm here for a scratch or a cuddle. 🐾 Picture this: I'm a big dude, orange and white, with the roundest face and the chubbiest cheeks you've ever seen, and my fur? Soft as a cloud. Who could ask for more? 😺 Why, I'm practically perfect in every way! Now, here's the lowdown: I've had a run-in with urinary tract crystals before, but no worries! The amazing folks here have sorted me out with a special kibble diet (easy to grab at your go-to pet store). Since then, smooth sailing—no issues whatsoever. 🍲 So, if your heart's yearning for a bit more love, swing by the shelter and say hello. I'm here to make all your love-filled dreams come true! ❤️ Peter does require a special diet of prescription food to ensure he doesn’t develop crystals.
