Story
This little guy came to my doorstep in mid-September, with some wounds and being much skinnier than he is now. I've tried my best to keep him, but my other cat has been experiencing some stress-related urinary problems with this little guy in the house, so unfortunately, he needs to go ASAP. I wish I could keep him, but I made a commitment to my first kitty a couple of years ago, so he's my first priority. He's FIV/FeLV negative, up to date on his rabies vaccine, and received an allergy and flea shot during his initial checkup. He's super friendly and playful, estimated to be about 1 year of age, give or take. Responds to "Whiskers" and "Booger", or really any name/nickname ending with -er.

Story
This is our sweet girl Misty who originally belonged to my boyfriends mother. She adopted miss Misty in 2021 when a family member's cat had kittens, sadly she passed that same year. Misty then went to my boyfriend's brother with his wife, kids, and dogs. Then he brought her to us early 2023 and weve had her since. We already had 2 cats + 1 dog and due to our living situation we had to keep my two cats in my room and Misty in the living room. Between our 2 full time jobs amongst many other responsibilities she hasnt gotten the time, affection, and care she deserves. We also had a hard time deciding to find her a new home or keep her; due to her meaning within the family and our hopes that family or close friends could adopt her. Now that my boyfriend and I are moving we are forced to rehome her. Shes a sweet girl that's desperate for attention and a secure place in a family. Shes loving and cuddly! She also has a cat tree, scratch post, spinny toy, litter box, and feather toy for her.

Story
She is a very sweet cat we found in an apartment complex. She gets along with female cats but does not get along with dogs or male cats. She is house trained and fixed. All shots are up to date. The vet said she’s about 3 years old now. We would love to keep her but she doesn’t get along with our male cat at home. She likes to play and sleep.

Story
Meet Omoo: The Unique, Lovable, and Spunky Orange Tabby in Search of Her Forever Home! Omoo’s Journey:  is a vibrant, intelligent and lovely tabby with a big personality. She was adopted as a young kitten and lived happily in an apartment with her owner: enjoying playtime, cuddles, and her cat tree. However, her world was turned upside down when she had to move due to her owner’s roommate’s cat allergies. She was placed in a noisy temporary home with multiple dogs, which was overwhelming for her little heart to handle. AWHAR offered assistance, and Honey is now adjusting well in a new, calmer foster environment. She’s back to her playful self, having a blast with other cats, and is ready to find a loving, permanent home. About OomMoo: Breed: Rare and unique female orange tabby (Only 1 out of 6 orange cats are female!) Personality: Spunky, playful, spirited, and sweet Favorite Activities: Chasing a laser pointer, playing with toys, having her head scratched and being close to you Why You’ll Love OMoo: Playful and Fun: Honey loves to race around, play with toys, and interact with her environment. Sweet and Affectionate: She enjoys being near you and will add a lot of joy and energy to your home. Beautiful and Unique: Her orange tabby coat is rare and she’s a stunning cat with a big personality. What OMoo Needs: A Quiet Home: She would thrive in a household without dogs. A Loving Owner: Someone who can appreciate her playful nature and give her the attention she loves. A Trial Basis: AWHAR ensures that all adoptions are on a trial basis to ensure it’s the perfect fit for both Honey and her new family. How to Adopt or Foster: If you’re interested in meeting Honey or adopting her, please contact us at: Email: awhar09@gmail.com Text: 404-520-1060 (cell) Visit www.awhar.org for more information. Story
Lovely Little Rice = Tabby Girl Needs a Final Home ASAP! Meet Rice! This girl came from a cat colony in South Dekalb, Georgia, in a suburban neighborhood. A  cat loving resident knew of a person trying to hurt the colony and reached out for help.  We were able to remove all cats from the area, and now Miss Rice is looking for a forever home.  She loves other cats so much, and needs to go to a home with another cat.  She is a lovely little girl, just a bit shy due to the chaos of living outside and dodging people and coyotes who were killing many of her friends. She would thrive in a home that is adults only or older children who understand she may take a while to warm up. One she warms up, you are in for a treat. Rice comes out for attention and purrs while asking for you to give her scratches and pets. She has so much potential, but unfortunately has been overlooked, as she has been in foster for nearly two years now.  All cats are on a trial basis and we take them back now or in the future if needed. Rice is negative for all diseases and fully vetted and spayed. She is a playful, a delight, and deserves a great home! To meet Rice & learn more about her: please contact Zoe at 404-259-6070 (TEXT IS BEST) to  get an application. email: awhar09@gmail.com  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 10:40 pm

Meet Miss Angie – A Beautiful, Resilient Beyond Measure, and Friendly Tabby Girl! Miss Angie is a stunning gray-striped and white tabby with a heart full of love and a story of incredible resilience. Her sweet, expressive face and gentle personality are sure to capture your heart. Why You’ll Adore Angie Smart & Affectionate: Angie knows her NAME and favorite humans well! Just the sound of your voice after she gets to know you, and she will be THERE. Angie is deeply grateful for indoor life and will reward you with snuggles and love. Her Journey Angie’s story is one of strength and survival: She was abandoned twice, spending over a year on the streets eating with feral cats. She originally was adopted from DeKalb County AC, then abandoned by an adopter who changed their contact info!! On the street she had to fight for each morsel.  She used to run to meet the feral cat feeders from our rescue.  She rubbed against our legs wanting to be petted and picked up.  Rescued by AWHAR, she has blossomed into a loving, friendly companion ready for her forever home. Despite her rough past, she has nothing but love to give. Health Details Age: 3 or 4 years old FIV-Positive: Angie is FIV-positive, but shows zero symptoms. She is healthy otherwise. FIV cats can live long, happy, normal lives and can safely coexist with non-FIV cats. Spayed & Microchipped FELV Feline Leukemia Negative Vaccinations: Fully up-to-date Health: Excellent teeth! What Angie Needs A loving, secure indoor home; she is low maintenance. An owner willing to appreciate her resilience and give her the attention she craves. Angie would do best in a one cat household.  she is fairly assertive with other cats and eats their food having starved before!  How to Help Angie Find Her Happy Ending If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this beautiful girl, contact us today: Email (Preferred): awhar09@gmail.com Call/Text Janet: 404-520-1060 Visit: www.awhar.org Miss Angie deserves a second chance at happiness.
