Story
I adopted Leo when he was 4 years old and he'll be 13 next year. He was an outdoor cat before he came to me, and has been indoor ever since. He's a cuddler, and is good with being picked up and carried around. He likes to be held like a baby or upright light a toddler. He loves to sleep in the bed with us and always keeps my head warm and he prefers to sleep on my pillow. He doesn't have any issues finding the litter box. He's patient with kids and tolerant of dogs. He's mostly sweet, but doesn't love having his tummy pet for a long time. He doesn't have his front claws. He loves chin scratches and licking the water off the walls after showers. He's a little chunky, but healthy, and likely has a few more years left in him. You won't regret loving him for the rest of his life. <3

Story
Abby is an energetic and fun-loving cat! At three years old, she's just as adorable as she was as a kitten, and she still has plenty of curiosity and an uncanny ability to get into mischief. She's always looking for the next thing to do. So we feel Abby needs an experienced adopter who can keep her safe and healthy! We also feel she would do best in an adult-only household. Abby is very affectionate. She loves kisses, hugs, and sitting/snoozing on her foster mom's lap. Abby was rescued with her sister, Ariel, and both are currently being fostered in a home with two other cats. Abby tends to have a "take charge" personality, but she gets along with everyone. She would do very well as a companion for a cat (or cats) already in the adopter's home. The HPC adoption process involves a foster period (to ensure a good "fit") before the adoption is finalized. Since HPC visits the home during that time, potential adopters need to be in the Bradenton/Sarasota (Florida) area.

Story
Ariel is not only a beautiful cat, she's also unique! She has a small black "beard" and a short tail and looks very similar to a Japanese Bobtail, even though that breed isn't reflected in her DNA report. She's half American Domestic Cat with lower percentages of Norwegian Forest Cat, Highlander, Scottish Fold, and Siamese/Oriental Cat. At three years old, Ariel really isn't a kitten any more, but she's still energetic and curious. She loves to play, and "the zoomies" are part of her daily exercise routine. She has also become very affectionate and loves to cuddle in her foster mom's lap. Ariel was rescued with her sister, Abby, and both are currently being fostered in a home with two other cats. Ariel gets along with everyone.

Story
Big Butt is a large kitty with a bit of junk in the trunk. Big Butt loves to chat, loves other cats, and loves to eat. Big Butt has a big personality and loves to be the center of attention. He loves to dote on people and other cats. Big Butt has had several owners. His first owner loved him dearly, but was forced to re-home Big Butt (called Baby) due to a chronic health condition. Big Butt was adopted by his owner’s health care technician and lived happily with several kitty siblings. Tragically, Big Butt’s owner passed away in November 2022. He was taken in by a family member who also tragically passed away the following month in December 2022. Big Butt is seeking a home with a loving family and would love to be adopted with his kitty siblings.

Story
Little Miss, approx. 12 weeks old, was dropped off at the animal hospital I work at. She was anemic, terrified and had a very painful injury. Her back leg was either broken or deformed. We took x-rays but could not pin-point the exact issue. She was on antibiotics and pain medications, which helped her heal. She runs, jumps, puts weight on the foot, is off of all pain medications and is doing really well! She is very cuddly, playful and curious. She has been through so much but is sweet as can be. She would do well with other cats and/or dogs. She deserves a loving forever home!

Perry is an 8 week old male kitten in need of a good home. Perry is named Perry because he loves climb and sit on any shoulder near by. Little shy at first but Perry is very social with other cats, playful, absolutely adorable, and loves cuddling at night. Perry has been seen by a vet, weighs 1.5 lbs, in good health, but is not vaccinated or neutered due to his age at the time of visit.

Story
1,360+ DAYS OF WAITING TO BE CHOSEN! Coco Chanel is spayed, negative for FIV/FeLV, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. She is a sweet girl who would love a furever home of her own. Coco Chanel came to our rescue with six tiny babies in December 2020. One baby was born disabled. For the last 3 1/2 years, Coco Chanel has given up her chance at a furever home by herself so she could stay and care for her disabled baby. Sadly, her daughter passed away July 13th, leaving Coco Chanel alone in their foster room. Now, it is time for her to shine! Coco Chanel gets nervous in unfamiliar territory, so Meet and Greets will take place in her foster home. To schedule a Meet and Greet, please complete an application. (Experience with cats is required.) ##2128014##
