Story
Rehoming Two Very Affectionate Cats I am faced with the difficult decision of finding a new home for my two sweetheart cats. They are two years old and from the same litter. Healthy, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines. Due to financial circumstances, I am moving in with my family, where there is a dog that is aggressive towards cats. To ensure their safety and well-being, I am seeking a kind, safe, and loving home where they can continue to thrive together. Please see the attached photos. If you are interested in providing a forever home for Moose and Bao, or if you know of someone who might be, please reach out to me at the email provided. Your kindness and assistance in spreading the word are greatly appreciated. Gratefully, Isabel

Story
Age: 4 Story: Frank was rescued off of the street a few months ago. A family was feeding him and he tried to get into their house several times, so they believed that he may make a good house cat. Unfortunately, Frank has not taken well to the indoor cat lifestyle, despite lots of time, calming supplements, playtime, and enrichment. He is very aggressive with me and my roommates, scratching and biting (occasionally hissing, yowling, and growling), to the point where I am worried about me and my roommates’ safety. However, I firmly believe that he will be perfectly happy in an indoor/outdoor living situation or as a working cat (warehouse cat, barn cat, etc.) He can be (and likely will be even more, once he has space to roam) affectionate. Characteristics: - Food motivated - Intelligent - Playful - Mighty Hunter - Good litter box manners He has no physical health issues (up-to-date vaccines, microchipped, neutered), but has the behavioral problems noted above.

Story
Kelley and Briggs are three and a half year old well-bonded siblings. The boy (Kelley) is grey striped and white with slightly longer hair, and the girl (Briggs) is calico with very short hair. They are spayed and neutered and up to date on their shots. He is very very good with kids, allowing my young daughter to carry him around. Briggs is also affectionate with adults but skittish of kids. They have been indoor/outdoor and indoor only. They prefer being allowed to go outside, but they do like to explore and hunt if allowed to do so. They will come with their carriers, litter boxes, toys, and wall mounted climbing things if you want them. We just want them to be happy. We have to rehome due to allergy issues if we keep them inside and they can’t go outside where we live. They have been really great cats and will miss them a ton. We will only consider homes that take them together. We don’t know how they are with other cats or animals.

Story
I got Miso from a friend 6 years ago who was moving to Zambia and couldn't take her with him. Miso is absolutely wonderful and is the cutest, most delightful cat. She is gorgeous and the apple of everyone's eye, and she doesn't knock things over. She is good with kids, good with dogs, but doesn't seem to get along with other cats (she is scared of them). Miso was perfect for the first three years, even though I seemed to only date women who were allergic to cats, but in the past 3 years she has taken a turn for the difficult: she occasionally eliminates outside the litterbox. At first it was infrequent, but then it became more frequent, and she has a particular preference for my bed. After meeting with a cat behavioral therapist and the vet, we have determined that she's simply too stressed for a second-story one-bedroom apartment — she needs a bigger house or maybe even an outdoor space where she can be more entertained.

Story
Found this kitten at my job in garage. Dewormed her and she was a normal kitten again. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat and she gets along with them all. I would love to keep her, but I already have a farm going on in my home hahaha. She’s a great kitten, super friendly! I keep her indoors but she does enjoy sitting in the window. She also loves to play with toys! She’s a beautiful kitten that needs a forever home!

Story
We are re-homing our amazing, sweet cat Stoon. We adopted him 7.5 years ago when he was a kitten, and he's always been such a joy. He is a 13 pound orange kitty that is indoor only, loves to cuddle on the couch and for the last 3.5 years was VERY tolerant of our kids - always gentle with them despite getting chased or roughly pet. Sadly, the last few months, we realized the stress of our home with two young children is too much on him. Our home is too loud, he does not like being chased by the kids, and ultimately our environment is not the right one for him. We want him to have a happy, calmer home. He has not lived with other cats or dogs before. Stoon is a sweet, loving cat that likes light play, wants to spend time in the same room as you, and is so easy-going. He prefers free-eating his dry food and uses an automatic feeder.

Story
Leyla's Personality Beauty and brains, sweet and just a little bit sassy. This little charmer, whose nickname is "Miss Bean," will win you over in no time. Leyla loves hanging out with her foster parents and is always close. She likes to lay next to you on the couch - just provide a nice, soft fleece blanket. Leyla is super friendly and loves, loves, loves being brushed. She enjoys a gentle routine and rewards you with soft purrs and gentle head butts. Leyla came into SPCA's care pregnant - delivering six healthy kittens two days later. Once her kittens were weaned and adopted, Leyla became more playful as she learned to be a kitten again! Leyla goes nuts over a catnip-filled pillow. She sometimes gets the zoomies and chases just about anything that moves. Miss Bean won't wake you up for breakfast in the morning, but waits patiently by your side until you pet her, then she starts the day with the loudest purr. She loves to sleep on a soft blanket on the bed at night and occasionally chases your toes under the covers. Her favorite things are catnip toys, getting brushed and showing off her trick sitting on command for treats. If Leyla can’t find you, she lets out a little meow, and comes running when you call. She loves people, and is not shy at all. She is a perfect little companion. What Type of Home Leyla Needs This sweet, sassy girl needs a home where people are around for her to hang out with. She is not demanding, but likes to be near people. Leyla likes to be in charge of her territory and needs to be the only pet - no other cats or dogs. When Leyla is unsettled or anxious about new things, she can get a little over-stimulated and nip your hands - so no young children now or in the future. An older, cat-savvy child who has lived with cats before might be ok (over about 12 years of age). This behavior has subsided in her foster home now that she has settled in. Where Leyla Came From Leyla was rescued from outdoors by a kind man who found her abandoned in a park shortly before giving birth to six healthy kittens (all adopted). She was such a sweet, nurturing mama. Now its time for Leyla to have a home of her own.PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. Story
We adopted Rocket at 4 months of age from a local shelter. They told us he was found outside alone and that instantly broke our hearts. Rocket is a super energetic cat and needs a lot of affection. Unfortunately, our schedules have become very busy and we no longer have the time to give him the affection and attention he needs. In addition, Rocket likes to scratch, EVERYTHING. My little kids are afraid of him since he playfully scratches at them. He has a habit of jumping onto our counter as well which is another challenge we have not been able to solve. He truly is a lovable cat and just needs a home where he can be the center of attention!
