Story
PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! ABEL and KANE were saved from the shelter. They were unsocial and sick. Now he is ready to be adopted. Meet ABEL a shy American Short Hair Bombay Mix from San Jacinto, California whose essence is a delicate blend of timidity and charm wrapped in a sleek gray coat. ABEL is a shy and reserved fellow, preferring to take his time to get comfortable in new surroundings. He often finds solace in quiet corners, where he can observe his environment from a safe distance. But don't let his initial reticence fool you – beneath that reserved exterior lies a heart full of warmth and curiosity, just waiting for the right moment to shine. One of ABEL's favorite pastimes is watching TV. He is particularly fond of nature documentaries, where he can watch the graceful movements of other animals, or sometimes he enjoys the occasional animated film. There's something soothing about the flickering screen that captures his attention, providing hours of quiet entertainment. ABEL also has a special relationship with his cat tree. This towering structure of feline delight is his sanctuary, a place where he can climb, scratch, and perch to his heart's content. Whether he's napping in one of its cozy cubbies or surveying his domain from the highest platform, ABEL's cat tree is his happy place, offering both comfort and adventure in equal measure. Though ABEL may seem aloof at first, he has a unique way of showing affection once he feels secure. He might nuzzle your hand or softly purr as he curls up beside you. His gentle nature and calm demeanor make him an ideal companion for a patient and understanding family who appreciates the quiet joys of life. ABEL is best suited to a peaceful home where he can settle in at his own pace. He would thrive in an environment without too much hustle and bustle, perhaps with a few sunny spots to lounge in and, of course, a dedicated TV time for his favorite shows. His ideal family will understand that good things come to those who wait and will cherish the special bond that forms with a cat like Abel. Are you ready to give Abel the loving home he deserves and share in the quiet, heartwarming moments of companionship he offers? If so, can't wait to meet you and start this new chapter of his life together. Reach out to us to make ABEL part of your family today. ********************* ABEL IS AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER TO ADOPT ********************* ABEL is an AMERICAN SHORT HAIR / BOMBAY MIX. He is about 3 years and 8 months old. ABEL is good with cats. In his foster home, he was around other kittens, older cats, and a big dog. He has never been around children. ABEL is currently located at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com/adopt 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient. ABEL is ALREADY fully vetted. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS. If for some unfortunate reason you missed out on the kitten/cat you emailed about...I'm sure that we could help you with another rescue baby! Just ask! If you have any questions not covered here, please feel free to email us: Workinwhiskers2020@hotmail.com

Story
Leroy is a very sweet and loving cat with a lot of desire to play and be loved. Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, clean bill of health. I am moving in with people who do not want a cat in their home and other adoption agencies have refused to help me find foster care. He would do well with another cat or two for companionship. He gets along with dogs if they are friendly and calm. I don't know how he does with children. He prefers women over men as he had shown fear of men in the past, but I can help you acclimate him to your home with certified training techniques (I am a professional behavior expert). He comes with a lot of toys and accessories. Open adoption required with regular updates (photos, checkins, etc.) I am willing to help you care for him either through daycare if needed or vet assistance if he becomes ill within the first 3 months. This is an attempt to not have him put to sleep or thrown in the streets.

Story
Piper showed up as a hungry kitten in my front yard. I have raised him and his sister since July. He is a sweet boy. He is litter box trained. He is used to his feet being handled and his front claws being clipped. He is a curious fellow and investigates things inside and outside. He is used to being around many cats but few people. He has been exposed to dogs, but only for short times. He loves his face being rubbed and cuddles.

Story
He is THE SWEETEST & most loving boy, who only wants cuddles, kisses, & to spend time with his humans. He’s so affectionate that he bakes biscuits daily & drools when petted. He’s a big-boned boy with plenty of love to give. We found him on the streets, took him in, nursed him back to health, got him spayed, vaccinated, & tested. We were planning on keeping him, as we love his personality & goofiness. Although he tested negative for FeLV, he tested positive for FIV (the cat version of HIV). This cannot be passed from cat to human or cat to other animals, but can passed from cat to cat. We have many other cats in the house that we cannot risk passing it onto them. FIV is not a death sentence, but it is infectious to other cats. He needs a home without any other cats. Adoption fee is to cover just a bit of surgery/vet bills. We would really appreciate any help to recover some funds (spent $700+), but anything you can give is enough, if you can give this sweet boy a good furever home.
