Story
Hi lovely humans! My name is Chassie! I`m a sweet girl looking for a family to call my own. I can be nervous when meeting people at first, but I`m super friendly when I get to know you. I love treats and pets, and am working on walking well on leash. I have interacted with some dogs here at the shelter, but I can be nervous around them as well, so would benefit from slow introductions to any new dogs in a home. In general, I would benefit from positive reinforcement training to help me learn my manners and build my confidence. If you want a sweet, active, and bubbly girl to bring into your heart and life, then I might be the one for you!Medical History: I appear to be a healthy adult dog at this time, but it`s always a good idea to get me into a vet soon after adoption so I can meet my new doctor! Weight: ~37 lbsAdoption Fee: $375 + TaxIf you`d like to meet me, click the `Learn About the Adoption Process` button below to plan a visit to the shelter!

Story
Hello my name is Bubby! I`m sweet and loving, looking for a place to call my new home. In my previous home I lived with children and other dogs. But of course I would still prefer a slow introduction to both. I have a bubbly personality and warm up tp new people pretty well. I`m hoping to have someone who will give me lots of treats and playtime with them. Maybe I could be a new addition to your home!Medical History: I am a healthy pup overall, but it is always a good idea to introduce me to my new veterinarian when you take me home, so I can meet the doctor who will help you keep me healthy and strong!Weight: 54lbIf you`d like to meet me, click the `Learn About the Adoption Process` button below to plan a visit to the shelter!

Story
Hope is being fostered in LA. Hope is a sweet and happy girl. She does have some vision loss. Hope is fit, healthy and a very loyal pup full of energy and love. She is ready to fill your days with adventure and nights with cuddling. Hope is looking for a daytime exercise partner with whom she can run, play with toys, engage in games of catch, tug of war and sometimes long silly leaps just for fun. In the evening a snuggle buddy is in order so she can cuddle close with her head on the lap of her human. Hope is very loyal and loving to her person. This sweetheart is well behaved and very likeable. She does well on a leash and is really great about going to her kennel when asked. Hope enjoys meeting new people and they, her. She is so adored at the vets office that they treat her like the “Belle of the Ball” giving her all kinds of special attention and loving. Hope, with all her positive qualities is still a youngster and often doesn’t know her own strength, so she can sometimes play rough. Slow introductions would be best. She plays well with most dogs, but prefers unassertive canine friends and would do well in a home without small children or cats. (Transports within 18 hours travel time are available to approved adopter.) BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
RIcky is being fostered in Chicago. Ricky is the most perfect puppy you will ever meet! He was found abandoned on the side of the road and after being rescued it became clear he had some vision issues. His vision is severely limited, but he does not let that slow him down! He is the sweetest, smartest, most amazing puppy you will ever meet. He loves to go on walks, play with toys, and SNUGGLE!! He can navigate his foster home well and has mastered the stairs. He is crate trained, and almost completely potty-trained. You seriously could not ask for a better pup! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
**Participating in our Pitbull Awareness Month promotion! Adoption fee is 50% off. Julien is an absolute dreamboat! Not only is he a slam-dunk in the looks department, he's mastered the "puppy eyes" and just sucks you in with one look. Julien is sweet as can be, just melting in your hands and showering you with kisses. This kid is a master snuggler, and his tail never stops wagging. Although Julien does totally fine with other dogs when a barrier such as a fence or kennel door is involved, he would prefer not to share your attention and be the only dog in his forever home. Julien came to us with many scars on his face and legs, so we're assuming he may have been attacked in the past and understandably feels a bit nervous around other dogs. Julien has spent some time in our staff offices, as he's a favorite around the shelter. He loves to help with office duties and make sure everyone stays on task. After a few minutes of exploring, Julien settles in and lays on his bed all stretched relaxing. Julien is one fantastic pup, that's for sure! All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. Story
**Participating in our Pitbull Awareness Month promotion! Adoption fee is 50% off. Hopper is the happiest boy ever and really lives up to his name. He is an exuberant boy and loves to play, but also LOVES a good snuggle session. He came to us from a crowded shelter in Ohio, and is extremely underweight, which will quickly resolve with all the love and treats our shelter dogs receive. Hopper is quickly picking up basic commands and is working on his manners, and has been enjoying walks with our volunteers. He recently visited an elementary school, and did fantastic with all the children wanting to say hi. Hopper is looking for an active family who enjoys a good laugh from his silly personality, as well as some hard core snuggling on the couch. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at sftsrescue.org/adoptableanimals
