Hey! My name is Scooby, and I am 2 years old! I came from a shelter in Upper Peninsula with my sister Rainy in search of a fresh start! We sadly came from a neglectful family and found ourselves homeless. We had been at that shelter for a little while, but unfortunately did not get a whole lot of interest, so it was decided that maybe we should be transferred here to hopefully find a forever home! But we again have found misfortune and neither of us have lucked out on finding a home to call our own yet. We are really trying to not let that get us down, but it is tough. We really do not like shelter life. The dogs overwhelm us, and we find ourselves getting increasingly frustrated the longer we are here, which is really unfortunate because we really are such great dogs! I'll be honest - I could use a person or family that are experienced dog people because I do have some work to do to be the best dog I can be! However, I am treat-motivated and eager-to-please, so I think we could have a lot of fun helping me get there! I have quite a bit of energy, and when I want to get somewhere while on a leash, I am determined to do so! Someone with the ability to handle a strong dog is a must! I do get mouthy and jumpy when I am overexcited (another thing I could use some work on), so a home with older kids would be best for me in my future home. I get along well with my sister, but I have a hard time being around other dogs, so if I weren't able to go home with Rainy, I would need to be a dog-free home. Rainy and I are not a bonded pair, but if you're willing to have twice the fun, we would love to find a forever home in the same place! Help me get out of the shelter life! Hello! Dude here, and I am part of the handful of dogs that came from Tennessee after the recent hurricanes. Man, if eyes could tell a story, I think mine would be a doozy. There is a certain look in my eyes that says I've been through a lot in my six years of life. While it is unknown to the people here, I still am just the sweetest and gentlest soul you could meet! I am pretty mellow, but I do have a little pep in my step now and again! I am not much for most toys or treats, but I love all the pets and affection I can get! I would be a wonderful couch companion if that is something you are looking for! I can be a bit of a puller sometimes, but I eventually get into a groove and will walk side by side with you! There are some more abrasive dogs that I may not get along with, but there is a chance I could share my home with another mellow dog like me! I would prefer a quieter home that I can just relax in, so I would do best in a home with quieter, respectful children. Think I may be a good fit for you and your life? We adopted Clifford for the Milwaukee Humane Society 2 years ago and have bonded and trained with him. He is an amazing, sweet, and smart dog with lots of energy at the age of 7 (approximately). However, we are looking to start a family and our house and time constraints do not support his continued training journey. He is a rescue and has unknown trauma from his life before us but is an amazing dog. Clifford needs an experienced adopter with time and space for his energy. He has never had an accident in the house, he barks a little but not excessively, he gets along with other animals (small or large) and children however because of his size in comparison to small children he can occasionally get in their way without realizing it.

Meet Harper!! Harper is working hard to become a more confident dog. She is currently anxious and skiddish around the humans in her house. Given time, patience, and understanding, we are confident Harper will be worth the wait! Her ideal home will include plenty of spaces were she can feel safe, humans who understand that she will take time to warm up, a doggy pal that can show her the world isn't scary, and a fenced in yard as she is always looking for a way to escape. She also needs help in continuing her potty training as she still is not able to hold it for a long time. We are currently working with our vet to fund medications that will help her feel more comfortable in her surroundings.
