Story
Hello all! My name is Carter! I am a 11 years old! When I first came into the shelter I was a pretty nervous guy. But you wouldn`t think that when you come and visit with me now! My tail is always wagging and my nose is up in the air smelling all the smells. I love new people and I love to be pet, even more I love to give people kisses! I could use some training on simple things, but other than that I am the perfect dog! Come on into the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin and visit with me!*Carters care is being sponsored by Sean M. - Thank you Sean!

Story
Hope is being fostered in LA. Hope is a sweet and happy girl. She does have some vision loss. Hope is fit, healthy and a very loyal pup full of energy and love. She is ready to fill your days with adventure and nights with cuddling. Hope is looking for a daytime exercise partner with whom she can run, play with toys, engage in games of catch, tug of war and sometimes long silly leaps just for fun. In the evening a snuggle buddy is in order so she can cuddle close with her head on the lap of her human. Hope is very loyal and loving to her person. This sweetheart is well behaved and very likeable. She does well on a leash and is really great about going to her kennel when asked. Hope enjoys meeting new people and they, her. She is so adored at the vets office that they treat her like the “Belle of the Ball” giving her all kinds of special attention and loving. Hope, with all her positive qualities is still a youngster and often doesn’t know her own strength, so she can sometimes play rough. Slow introductions would be best. She plays well with most dogs, but prefers unassertive canine friends and would do well in a home without small children or cats. (Transports within 18 hours travel time are available to approved adopter.) BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
I am currently being foster-trained in Prarie du Sac, Wisconsin and not currently located at Safe Haven. I came to Safe Haven with my 4 puppies who have all been adopted. Now I'm looking for my furever home. I was very scared at first and would bark at men and people wearing hats, preferring the company of women and my puppies. But now I am feeling more comfortable in the shelter and since my puppies all found homes I can relax and be myself. I really love running and playing fetch. I am truly happy when I have one-on-one time with employees and volunteers at the shelter. Being at the shelter for so long I have gotten jealous of other dogs I see getting the attention I want; I will bark and jump up to try and get that attention. I tend to jump up with all my 59 pounds on people to show how much I love them; you could say I get carried away when I see people I know. So, I might be better in a home with older kids or just adults. I am very good at opening doors to cabins and finding ways to get out of fenced in areas, so I'll need a home that a secure fence and cabinets. I know how to sit and come when called, I respond best to positive reinforcement with a happy voice telling me Im a good girl, because I really don't know my name! If you think I sound like your kind of girl submit an application today.
