To learn more about Lila, please get in touch with henryfungchang@gmail.com. Meet your next best friend, Lila! Lila is a loving, cuddly dog that loves any and all human interaction! She loves to play, and will engage in any games you want to play! While she can be energetic, her favorite activity is just to chill and relax. She especially enjoys blankets, sofas, and beds! Her favorite spot is in the corner of the bed, leaving you plenty of room, how perfect! Lila has done very well in her foster home, being very polite, doing all her business outside, and just being a joy to have around! She is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows lots of tricks! Her manners are on point, and she has responded well to her name. In addition to her name, she also seems to know "sit", "down", "shake", and "stay". She has done very well in vehicles in the past, and seems to enjoy the ride! She has slowly warmed up to living with a cat in a foster home, so slow introductions will be necessary for her. She has done well in the past with some dogs but can be leash-reactive, so a household with dog experience, patience, and the ability to handle Lila's size and energy would be best for her.

If you are interested in Aster Lee please contact dogs@lostdogrescue.org Meet Aster Lee! A girl with a big smile and an even bigger heart. Aster is a sweetheart who has been stealing the hearts of all the people she meets. Her love and excitement for life are contagious. She always brightens up the day of her human friends with her joyful and enthusiastic personality! Aster is extremely loyal and loves being close to her people. She shows her affection by leaning into you and giving you a huge smile. It's nearly impossible not to smile back! She is adventurous and enjoys hiking and going on walks, but equally enjoys cuddling on the couch. She enjoys playing with rope toys and having the zoomies in the yard, but her favorite activity is playing in the water. Whether it's the beach, a creek, or a doggy pool, Aster is the first one to dive right in! From her time in homes on Dogventures, Aster Lee is reported to be fully house trained, is a lovely houseguest, and will even go to the door to let you know she has to go outside. She's a smart girl who knows a few basic commands, like sit, paw, down, place, stay, and she is always eager to learn more! Aster also loves other dogs. One of her favorite times of the day is when she gets to see her dog friends during the daily playgroup sessions she enjoys in the yard of the rescue care center. She's a social butterfly and makes friends with every dog she meets! Aster Lee is seeking an experienced and loving family. She is very excited to find the forever family that she can shower with love!

To learn more about our upcoming events and to see which event they will be attending, please visit our event page at https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/ (*please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending which events*) He's not the wizard Harry, he's not Prince Harry, he's the doggo Harry! Meet Harry, the sweetest, goofiest, and most lovable boy! Harry is looking for an active forever home where he can live like a prince! Harry loves walks and has done very well on a leash, stopping for intervals, and sticking with you. Although Harry will need lots of exercise, he has had a soft, cuddly side to him that will just melt your heart. He loves burying his head into you, showing you his version of a hug, with all the love and affection you could ask for! Be prepared for him to show you he's a lap dog. Harry's favorite game is fetch, but he is not all too picky with his toys, he loves them all! The games you play, he will surely participate. His zest for life can overwhelm small children, so a home with kids 12+ would be best for Harry. He does well with dogs, and has thoroughly enjoyed playgroup at the rescue center! Harry has done well with house manners and has been crate trained, though he wouldn't mind a refresher! He is a star when it comes to basic training, knowing to "sit" like a master! His deep food motivation makes him a lovely dog to do tricks with. Harry is a bit too curious about cats, so a feline-free home would be best for this great young man. His goofy eyes, Jack-Russel-like coloring, mixed with his sweet personality and good manners make him your next companion! Come meet him at one of our events, he would love to say hi!

To learn more about Willow Grace, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Looking for a wonderful pup with some grace? Well, Willow Grace has it for you! Willow is a sweet and affectionate girl who loves any attention she can get. As her graceful roots indicate, she saunters on leash with minimal pulling, sniffing, and investigating her surroundings. Her sweet and friendly nature doesn't stop with humans, as she has gotten along in the past with other dogs! In addition to her poised demeanor, Willow Grace is a perfect house guest, as she is also housebroken. She would benefit from a human who would take the time to help her meet her health goals. But don't let her muscular build fool you, as she loves to run around with her ears in the wind! Willow Grace knows the command "sit" when there's a treat involved, so she would benefit from learning more basic commands. But her snuggly personality more than makes up for it. Willow has so much love to spread to the world around her. If all this love is just what you're looking for, get in contact with us today!

Please contact Paul Slebzak (pauls@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.is not cow! is sweet puppers! MOO MOO NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Moo Moo     Best Guess for Breed:   Pit bull terrier mix Best Guess for Age:  6 years as of October 2024     Gender:Female Approximate Weight:  40 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids but we can test her if you have them! Moo Moo should not go to a home with cats. Currently Living At: Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to come up after completing heartworm treatment! Check out this video of Moo Moo: https://youtu.be/LgmRn5eL7Pw. Special Adoption Considerations: Moo Moo is heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs.  All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care.  After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months.  We are happy to discuss this treatment and which phase of the study this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left! Moo Moo is Looking For: Her forever home! Through no fault of her own, this sweetie landed in the shelter. She's eager to once again have her own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures they can dream up. Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed too, please! And maybe try out various toys to see what she likes. But bottom line - she's out of the puppy yips and knows what's most important in life - being safe and loved and under her own roof. In exchange she promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all her days.  Oh, and one more thing she's mentioned - a name change wouldn't be totally wrong.  What My Foster Says About Me:We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Story
Hunter is a gentle 60-pound Pitbull mix with a heart of gold. This strong boy, about a year old, was found running loose on the back roads of Tennessee, but despite his tough start, he's in great shape with a silky black coat. While no one has come forward to claim him, Hunter is patiently waiting for a loving family to call his own! Hunter enjoys his daily walks and is working on not pulling on the leash. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 He’s curious, playful, and loves other dogs! He’s been sharing a pen with a Boxer, though we feed him separately to avoid any food aggression. Hunter does the cutest little dance when it’s time for his meals or walks—it’s sure to put a smile on your face! While he hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, Hunter did have a run-in with a neighbor’s chicken , so he might be best suited to a home without small livestock. Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast states weekly, helping high-risk homeless animals like Hunter find their forever homes. For more info on our mission, adoption fees, and drop-off points, visit us at CritterCavalry.com! &#226&#156&#168 Are you ready to give this playful boy a chance at a new beginning? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to request an adoption application.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Taz just turned 5 years old! I acquired him from the Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) in Washington, DC. My schedule and capacity to support his needs has dwindled recently and I believe he deserves a home where he can have more space to play, run around, and be supported by a loving family. Taz is very affectionate, gentle and fully of energy before he gets his daily exercise. He is best suited for someone with a backyard and experience with his breed.

I'm King. I am loving, loyal, and - ok, you made me say it - very handsome. Oh, and did I mention that I am looking for a best friend to adopt me? I like leash walks, especially in calm and quiet spaces where we can spend some quality time together without the crowds. But, I may get distracted by all of the wonderful smells because I really do need to put my nose on everything to explore the wonders of the world. Not only am I curious, I am up for a challenge! I like to run across streams, jump on logs, and hike the trails. I have lots of energy so will be sure to help keep up with your exercise plan. I even like to get in a jog from time to time. And, not to brag, but I am pretty smart. But, for the sake of all those delicious treats, I will pretend that it takes me time to master new tricks and skills. One more thing to tell you. I like to talk when I play. I hope you will come to meet me so we can play together forever, just you and me!
