Story
Meet Sprinkles! Sprinkles and her sister Ice Cream (now adopted) were found as strays dumped in front of a vet clinic in Houston, sadly a very common story. Our wonderful foster was able to get the girls in her car by luring them with food. Sprinkles was a scaredy cat but she saw her sister Ice Cream jump right into the car, so she followed. Sprinkles has learned what it means to live in a home - to be loved and cared for. Sprinkles is 100% velcro dog. She absolutely adores her person. Sprinkles is also a fun loving gal who loves to play - with people and other dogs. She is very submissive when meeting new people. Sprinkles is: Approximately 1 year old 45lbs Loves to play Loves to cuddle and seeks out validation from her human Submissive to people Potty trained Good on leash Hesitant in the car but getting braver

This dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for BINGO. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. His adoption is FREE to approved home. Looking for a loyal companion? Meet Bingo! This 2-year-old mix of American Pit Bull Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, and American Staffordshire Terrier will win your heart with his devotion and playful nature. Weighing in at 40 pounds, Bingo is a medium-sized bundle of joy who loves nothing more than to play fetch and chew on his beloved stuffed toys and Nylabones. Bingo's unique charm shines through in his quirky habits. He absolutely adores ice cubes and will eagerly run to the fridge with you for a treat. He also has a soft spot for pup cups from Starbucks. Despite being mostly deaf, Bingo is a smart cookie and responds well to hand commands like place, sit, down, and stay. He's a graduate of The Dog Wizard of Knoxville, and his training can continue with his new family. Bingo is fully potty trained and will ring bells hanging on the door to let you know when he needs to go out. He's also crate trained, making bedtime and alone time a breeze. Although he enjoys the company of his person, he can be a bit anxious around sudden movements due to his hearing loss. Bingo thrives in a one-person household where he can be the star of the show. If you're ready for a sweet, smart, and devoted companion who will bring joy and excitement into your life, Bingo is the perfect match for you. Give this lovable pup a forever home where he can truly shine!    Interested in adopting? I'm independent but I also love cuddles and being loyal to my human friends. I'm energetic, always ready for a game of fetch or a walk in the woods. Story
This big guy's name is Orion! He is a five-year-old Pit Bull mix who was brought to us by a local animal control officer when he was found in unfortunate living conditions. He lived in the woods on a chain without shelter, food or clean water for quite a bit of his life and with minimal interaction. After being brought to us we were able to put some weight on him and get him neutered once he was deemed healthy enough. Unfortunately he tested positive for Heartworm so he is currently undergoing treatment - all provided by the shelter. Orion loves to play although he is on exercise restrictions due to the Heartworm infection so he will need to find stimulation either through training, puzzles, or low-energy play. He unfortunately does not have any experience with other animals so he will need to be an only pet in his new home and should be in a home with older children over 13 years of age. This dog is a sweet boy who has a long road ahead of him and is in need of a loving and patient home where he can figure out what it is to be a house dog and a family pet. Please visit the following link on our website to learn about Second Chance's adoption process. http://www.2ndchanceanimalcenter.org/adoption.html October 25, 2024, 12:10 pm
