Story
She's a really good dog she is!! I got her when she was I really little pup about 6 weeks old from the Davis county animal shelter. She was good with my other little dog for a while then wasn't she got to big and starting showing some aggression towards her. She has never bitten me. She needs to go to a home with no other dogs unless the dog is bigger than her. She does fine walking past other dogs and is halfway off leash trained. She's undergone 4 week and elite training and is so well behaved i just can’t risk my two dogs being together. I really really wish I could she means so much to me but I can't. I need her to go to someplace safe. She's fine with teenagers I've never had her around little kids just cause we live in a small town. She's got goggles and some nice stuff to go with her. She's a year and a half old and the sweetest loves to snuggle could make an amazing dog one day I planned on training her to be service dog but can't. She's NOT human aggressive

Story
Meet Maui — The Sweet, Goofy Companion You’ve Been Waiting For! Maui is a 4-year-old Bully Mix (70+ lbs) with a contagious smile, a soft heart, and a deep love for being as close to his people as possible. He’s a cuddly Velcro pup who thrives with structure, clear boundaries, and positive reinforcement. Maui is crate trained, house trained with a routine, and walks beautifully on a gentle leader. He’s playful and goofy—he loves tug-of-war, running outside, and then snuggling in for a long nap. Maui enjoys other dogs and plays sweetly, but he does have a tendency to be possessive of space, so he needs a family willing to guide and train him through those situations. He loves kids and is incredibly gentle at heart, though his excitement can accidentally knock over small children. Maui has mild skin sensitivities (needs anti-itch shampoo), ears that require regular cleaning, and is currently being weaned off trazodone. He’s looking for a patient, loving, consistent family who will give him guidance and a cozy place to land. If you want a loyal, affectionate companion who will follow you anywhere—and make you laugh with his mirror-barking antics—Maui is your guy. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
Suka is a beautiful 6-year-old, 85-lb bully breed with a heart as big as she is. She’s fully house-trained, knows “sit” and “shake,” and takes treats with the gentlest manners. Suka loves people - especially meeting new friends on walks or at the dog park, where she happily soaks up attention - and she is friendly with other dogs (though is more interested in people). She enjoys car rides, fetch, tug-of-war, toys, and snuggling with her humans. Suka was raised in a household of kids ranging in age from one to twelve and loves being part of family life. That said, her enthusiastic play and lap-dog ambitions should be considered by families with small children. In her foster home, she lives peacefully with three other dogs (20–40 lbs), kindly letting the littlest one think he’s in charge and patiently winning over the shy dog of the group (though she sometimes 'accidentally' sits on them when trying to squeeze in to the coveted spot next to her human). It is unknown how she gets along with cats. She may softly whine when she's missing her people, and will bark if left outside, alone, too long. She enjoys relaxed neighborhood strolls and easy hikes in cool weather—always at her own pace, savoring the sights, smells, and friendly humans along the way.If you’re looking for an affectionate companion who will stare at you with love, and who believes every walk should include a few new friends, Suka may be your girl.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Meet Bolt — a loyal, quirky, bubble-chasing sweetheart looking for his person!Bolt is a 9-year-old, 64-lb pit mix with a heart full of love and a few endearing quirks that make him truly one of a kind. Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and well-mannered in the home, this distinguished gentleman has been enjoying life at Dogtown for the last couple of months—and he’s ready for his next chapter.Bolt warms up quickly to new people and has a naturally sweet, affectionate personality. He does have some OCD-type behaviors, but he’s polite, routine-oriented, and thrives when he knows what to expect. His absolute favorite thing in the world? Chasing water from the hose and popping bubbles—he lights up with joy every time!In the home, Bolt is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and generally well-mannered. He knows a few basic commands like sit and stay, and he’s very treat-motivated, making training fun and rewarding. On leash he can be a bit excitable, but with a steady handler he settles into a good rhythm.Bolt has a medium energy level—just right for a dog his age. He enjoys playtime, mental stimulation, and structured routines. Though he has grown less pushy as he’s matured, he still prefers to be the only pet in the home and is not a match for cats or children. This sweet boy is best suited for a quiet, dog-savvy home with someone who appreciates his heeler-like tendencies, his love for water games, and his loyal nature. Bolt has made wonderful progress over the years, becoming calmer and more accommodating—and he’s ready to share that growth with the person who will love him for exactly who he is.If you're looking for a devoted companion who brings both fun and heart, Bolt might be your perfect match. Come meet him and see why everyone at Dogtown adores him!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Story
Elsa is 8 years young and came from a neglect and abuse case in Colorado. She was confiscated from her "family," along with her son, Olaf. Elsa was so afraid when she arrived to our rescue and wouldn't stop shaking in the back of her crate. It took two weeks for her to gain confidence and trust us enough to start exploring the rescue. The rest is history... since Elsa created a bond with us, she has opened up SO much! She lives for her walks, is obsessed with snuggles and will quite literally follow you anywhere you go. She is wonderful on car rides and loves a good pup cup! Elsa's ideal family is someone who will continue to dress her up and treat her like the queen she is... lol. But really, she would thrive as an only pup who will spend the rest of her days spoiled, loved and cherished. She is going to make the most loyal and loving companion to a very lucky person/family.

Story
Olaf is a 6 year old, deaf Pittie who is the perfect mix of sweet and sensitive. He came from a home of abuse and neglect. Often, getting attacked by his dad, a large male Pittie, without intervention from his owners. He and Elsa were confiscated and saved from their awful home. Olaf is now looking for a family who can understand that he needs special care and training due to being deaf. Olaf, although he looks tough, is equally as sensitive and eager to trust. Olaf would love a family that has a yard and is home often, as he loves to be close to his humans! He is great on walks, has the biggest appetite, and loves being goofy with those that he trusts! Olaf loves car rides, is obsessed with foods (except carrots), and loves going for walks, as long as his human can advocate for him and take space from situations that Olaf doesn't hear coming like runners. Olaf is dog selective and has done great with dogs here at the rescue with slow and proper introductions so a home with another female pup will be considered on a case by case basis!
