Story
Heather is the beautiful dark brindle girl. She is super sweet, very smart and very funny. Like the rest of her litter she loves food, treats, chews and toys. She is all things puppy and learns quite quickly. She loves to be held and loved on, knows how to use dog doors (though doesn’t understand exactly when to use them) and is very good using pee pads. Story
Dudes loves being with humans and dogs alike. He loves being told he is a good boy and smiles often. His eyes will sucker you into just one more treat every time, as they are just mesmerizing. He plays nicely with many other dogs, he just wants to be selective at times. When he finds a great dog friend, he loves playing chase and doing zoomies with them. He is a happy dog with energy to burn, but I believe he would also love to cuddle on the couch during movie night as well. Story
Sky is a textbook pitty puppy in all of the best ways. Besides being heart clinchingly cute with the most soulful green grey eyes, she is as cuddly as she is playful. She is working hard on both potty training, and crate training, and is doing very well with both (no messes in her crate through the night, and very few accidents in the house.) And while she can be a bit derpy as she trips over her own paws running through the house, she is a smart, eager to learn girl, happy to greet you with kisses and wags, and sit patiently for a treat. Her lessons on leash are going well, and she is working on her manners with cats as she still thinks they want to play with her, but the chase is never aggressive, and stops with human or kitty correction. Like most pups, she is pretty mouthy, and her teeth seem more like shark than dog, so she needs plenty of toys and chews while she grows. And also like most puppies, she will probably enjoy the company of children, but until she figures out what is appropriate to bite, they should be older ones who can help her learn. This is a seriously good natured puppy that is going to grow into an amazing bestie. Story
Say hello to Gemma! This beautiful Staffordshire bull terrier is estimated to be three years old. This quirky girl knows basic commands but could use additional help with leash etiquette. Gemma does extremely well with kids of all ages. She would benefit herself and her handler if you could continue teaching her to play as she is still learning to play with dogs her size. She would do well in either a small dog or single dog family. You'll laugh at loud hearing the snorts and muffles she makes as she plays! Typical of pitties, she loves to chew! But, never fear! Her trusty chewy stick and carrot are here to save the day (and her leash). You'll never be cold at night with this girl. She's the best snuggler of the breed! Give her a nice soft blanket, yourself, and a quiet night and enjoy the bliss of contentment. Please apply to give this girl a great home Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 9, 2024, 11:42 pm

Story
Hope Honeyheart is the sweetest girl! She’s quiet, mellow and calm, making for a perfect little work from home companion, or a member of a quiet, calm household. She’s incredibly loving with her favorite people and so friendly with strangers, a lovebug through and through. We think that Hope may be a Labrador, Pit Bull mix, but she is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown and cannot be guaranteed. Hope is currently estimated to be around one year old, and she currently weighs in at a soft and snuggly 40 pounds. Watch Hope here: https://youtu.be/tY8yvvf-ZAw?si=QvVb4CKLO27W9Hwz Hope is a sweet girl, but she can be a little bit shy in new environments for a moment or two. A few pets and a soft voice win her over quickly. Hope adores new friends, and greets every stranger with a tail wag. With her favorite humans, Hope is a total Velcro dog. She trots after her favorite staff members, eager to accompany them to wherever they may be headed. She loves to be next to her humans, or even in their laps if they’ll allow it! Hope is an expressive girl, using her tail, eyebrows and ears to communicate clearly with us human folk. While she’s communicative, she’s not talkative! Hope is remarkably quiet, and we have yet to hear her bark here at the rescue. Hope is extremely easy-going, and her quiet demeanor will make her a wonderful companion dog for a quiet lifestyle. Hope is gentle and good on leash, still polishing her leash skills, but with a little more practice she will be an excellent walking companion. She auto-sits for treats, and takes treats so gently. She’s very food motivated, meaning that further training will be enjoyable for both of you. Hope is very dog friendly, and is currently fostered with multiple doggy-siblings. Hope plays so well with others. We would love to see Hope adopted into a household with other dogs, our behavior team recommends a polite doggy brother. Here at the rescue, Hope was cat tested, and we believe her to be cat tolerant. She could live with dog savvy kitties. See her cat test for yourself in her video. Hope’s perfect home would have at least one loving human to adore her, and a doggy friend to help her feel more comfortable. Hope would prefer a home with a back yard, or a home with minimal traffic around it, as she prefers calmer environments. We think Hope would do well as a family dog, with older kids that can be respectful of her boundaries. Hope is a sweet girl, but we do think it may take her some time to settle in and bond with her new family, because she is such a sensitive and soft girl. We hope that her forever family will give her the time and space she needs to properly decompress upon her arrival. Save the “welcome home” party for a later date, instead welcome Hope home with softness and sweetness, and she will love you endlessly for it. Hope is such a good girl, and she has waited far too long for her forever family. Don’t make Hope wait another day, apply today. With any questions, please reach out to her adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. We are willing to test Hope with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $800 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
