Story
Introducing Alexander, a gentle soul in need of a loving home. Alexander, along with his companion, was discovered by one of our compassionate volunteers, nestled in a parking lot looking forlorn yet composed. Their undeniable bond was evident as they refused to part ways, showcasing a heartwarming loyalty or a dire need for companionship. Despite a touch of timidity, Alexander's sweetness shines through. Upon offering them water, they eagerly drank, indicating their thirst and the immediate care they required. The sight of them cuddled up together in the car after rescue speaks volumes about their inseparable connection. Alexander, with his striking light tan fur and a velvety coat, appears to have been cared for in the past. At just 2 years old, he embodies youth and potential for a beautiful future. While he may be a bit apprehensive now, it's certain that with love and attention, he will swiftly overcome his fears and blossom into a confident and affectionate companion. Would you open your heart and home to foster Alexander? Your kindness and care will be the catalyst for transforming his world. Scout's Honor Rescue covers all fostering expenses, ensuring that fostering him is as worry-free as possible. Can you open your heart and home to Alexander? Your love and care will be the catalyst for his transformation from a timid soul to a confident and cherished family member. November 5, 2024, 1:18 am

Story
If you would like more information about Shooby or are interested in adopting him, please send an email to butlerstar34@gmail.com The only thing wrong with Shooby… is that he Shood-Be yours! Shooby is extremely well-mannered and gentle. He loves getting forehead rubs, playing fetch, and sitting in laps. He waits patiently for food, says please and thank you with his grateful eyes, is very selective about his potty spots (outdoors only!!), and even sits like a gent during baths! We took him to the vet to get him vaccinated, and they confirmed that he is healthy. He has charmed everyone he has met (including the vet) and deserves someone who will be enamored by him for the rest of his life. Shooby was found in a neighborhood where it is very uncommon to see strays. He is so loving and trusting that we believe he had a previous owner who brought him here so that he could find a new family. He walked up to us with big pleading eyes, all wags and licks from the moment we met! Despite his heartbreak, Shooby remains so open to love and we know he will love his forever pawrent with his entire heart If you are looking for a dense snuggly guy who will LOVE you with everything they’ve got, Shoobs would love to meet you! Story
If you would like more information about Smokey or are interested in adopting him, please contact this number, 281-881-2131 We rescued this sweet pup recently. Smokey was living under a truck in my backyard and would only come out to find food at night. It took a while to gain his trust, but we finally did, and we were able to get him bathed, fed, and have given him a cozy place to stay until we can find him his forever home. He has no microchip and hasn’t been claimed by anyone. We’re almost positive he’s been in the back since he was a baby, before we even moved into the house three months ago. Smokey is a really good dog who just wants some love (and treats). He was shy at first, but we’ve broken him out of his shell and he’s now extremely outgoing, energetic, and playful. He is great around other dogs and cats intrigue him; our first dog is just getting too old for his puppy energy. He’s also very food driven so we were able to teach him the command “sit” fairly quickly. He loves toys and is still learning how to play fetch. He loves love and will be a great cuddle bug. He just needs someone to give him the time and care he needs. Smokey will be the best companion to a lucky individual or family. Story
If you would like more information about name or are interested in adopting her, please contact this phone number, (713) 501-3202 Max is a sweet and playful male pit mix pup. He loves to play with humans and dogs; and loves squeaky toys and attention (cuddler). Max was abandoned on a street near the highway with his collar and leash still on. My neighbor said that he had been roaming around all afternoon. When I took him to vet, there was no microchip found and he was heartworm free. Currently we are working on house and crate training. He does bark when he is left alone but will eventually settle down. He just needs a home where someone can work with him on house training but otherwise, he is a sweetheart who loves to play. I already have two large dogs and can’t take in another, so I am looking for Max’s new furever home. Story
LOVES BELLY RUBS AND GIVES KISSES  Est. DOB 10/8/18, Weight ~ 65 lbs I’m Buster, a sweet, happy, eager-to-please, playful Boxer/ Black Mouth Cur mix fella who loves “marathon” belly rubs and snuggling for hours with my human dad on the sofa or the bed. When he sits on the floor with me, I love to lie across his lap and give kisses. I’m very loyal and doting with my human dad, with whom I’ve bonded tremendously, and I follow him everywhere. I’m respectful and trustworthy with children outside the coffee shop and on walks. A bonus is that I have a very soft mouth when I take treats and toys. Speaking of walks, I love them! But, True Confessions – I’m working on my leash manners so I don’t get overly stimulated by cats, squirrels, or certain other dogs. I really enjoy the company of most other dogs, whether playing or lounging around together.  Moderate exercise not only stimulates me physically but mentally too. I’ve been through obedience training and I “sit,” “down,” and “place” on command (for the most part). The trainer says that I’m a quick learner because of my treat-motivation. I’ve had a rotating cast of dog walkers, and they all applaud how people-friendly I am. With proper introductions, I meet new people and strangers easily – with the exception of people who ring that annoying doorbell. I’ve come a long way from when I was rescued at BARC, Houston’s City shelter. You know, there are advantages to adopting an adult dog like me who’s past the stage of puppy-craziness. I’m crate-trained and know how to use the doggy door. I’m not a digger and I don’t destroy anything that isn’t a toy -- other than a couple of pillows. I’ve been a loving adopted canine brother for many months but now my canine brother's anxiety has gotten worse, to the point where it is hard for us to be together therefore it’s better that I find a new home since he was here first.  So, I’m available for adoption again! If you’re looking for a big, gentle boy who’s a bundle of love, I fit the bill!! And I’m flexible – I can live in an apartment as long as I get adequate exercise or a home with a backyard for chasing the tennis ball.  I’d love to be the star of the show and get all of your love, i.e., not have to share you with another dog in the home, but I’d still like going to Day Care, the dog park, and play dates with my canine friends. Arrange to meet me, and remember, I’ve never met a stranger!
