Story
Hello! I'm Tucker! I am a big, sweet boy and around a year old. My breed is a little bit of a mystery but maybe I have some Bull Terrier or Hound in me. No matter what my breed is I definitely have some cool colors to my fur! I was found wandering the cold streets but now I'm safe and sound in a loving foster home. I am potty trained, crate trained, and currently working on my manners with my foster dad, I know "Sit"! I am young and large so a home without little kids might be best so that I don't accidentally knock them over. I get along great with other dogs! I am looking for my furever home...maybe you have a spot for me? If you are interested in me, please send an email to us! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review! All dogs typically show on Saturdays at the Petco in Clear Lake as well. 2410 Bay Area Blvd near Space Center.   Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.November 3, 2024, 11:08 am

Story
Hi, my name is Perla and I, along with my sibling Kona, were found as strays.  Everyone notices my beautiful eye "makeup" and pretty ear freckles.  My foster says I'm so cuddly and loving.  I love to snuggle and get tummy rubs.  I'm playful and will gently bite your hands or play with my stuffed toys. I'm still young, estimated DOB 1/31/2024 and may have some Pitty in my ancestry. I'm learning so much now that I'm at home with other dogs and I love everyone. No kids or cats at my foster home but I'd probably do OK with them if they can put up with my puppy antics. I love to (gently) bite your hand, be held and petted, give kisses, and play with stuffed toys until I drop.  I'm doing great on my potty training as long as you can take me out often.  I know what a potty pad is for (play toy is one of its uses!). I'm in a crate but I have a time limit of about 8 hours and then I will need some together time with either my family or other dogs outside of the crate.  I'm smart as a whip and LOVE treats so I'm a quick learner. I'm just a puppy and can get into a lot of trouble so you'll need to be willing to give me lots of gentle guidance, so I can learn all those big dog things, like how to behave in a house, how to walk on a leash without pulling, how to stand still while getting groomed and all those verbal commands every dog should know. I may even treat people like I treat my sibling with rough play or decide that a new pair of shoes or a table leg would make a great chew toy, so a lot of appropriate toys should be in my future. The good news is that with the right training and LOTS of love, I'll be the best addition to your family ever and your best bud. If you are interested in me, please send an email to us! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review! Story
Meet Cocoa And Here's COCOA!! Cocoa is a 4 1/2 year old yellow lab/pit mix. She is so full of love and enjoys being with her person. Cocoa loves car rides, having fun on her foster fur siblings birthdays and being outside. She is always happy and you can tell by the way she wiggles her tail and body. She enjoys playing tug o war and catch. Cocoa is kennel trained, knows basic commands and is potty trained. Cocoa is already spayed, up to date on all vaccines and flea/tick prevention. She has received a Proheart 12 injection for heartworm prevention. Cocoa did come to us with heartworms and is currently being treated. Note: The above bio on the dog reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. We provide adopters current information on our dogs; we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners. Our adoption fee covers dewormed, heartworm tested (if over 6 months), started on heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, vaccinated for bordetella, dhppv, rabies (if age appropriate) and microchipped as well as spay/neuter at our preapproved vets. All puppies not altered due to age will under a foster to adopt contract until completed and an additional deposit of $100 will be required- deposit will be refunded upon completion of surgery. We expect our dogs to be adopted by families who understand- these are rescue dogs, they will need time to decompress, routine and stability. Story
I am currently in foster care if you would like to meet me please email FosterAPet@leaguecitytx.gov to meet me. Hi there! My name's Hank, and I think your house could use a little "Hank charm. I'm all about being the perfect companion-whether we're running and playing outside or just relaxing together at home. Here's a bit about me: I'm completely potty trained, so no messes to worry about. I'm not a barker either, so I'll keep things nice and peaceful. I absolutely love going for walks, especially when there's a chance to spot a squirrel or a cat. Don't worry-those squirrels are way too fast, and as for cats, I am not overly fond of the cats, but I like to look at them. I'll happily settle into my kennel if you need me to, but honestly, my favorite place is wherever you are. Got a snack to share? I'll sit patiently and wait like a true gentleman. If you've got a hankering for a loyal, fun-loving friend, I'm your guy. Let's make this official-come meet me, and let's start our adventure together!
