Story
Sally is a beautiful 2 year old Bully girl that was being kept by people who only wanted her to breed and sell puppies. When she was found as a stray and picked up, she stayed at the shelter for an extended period of time past her stray hold without being claimed. So we spayed her and began getting her ready for adoption. When her previous owner reached out trying to claim her and was informed that she had been fixed, they did not want to reclaim her. So Sally is looking for a new lease on life with a family who will love her for her beautiful sweet personality and for the companionship she offers. Sally loves attention and is very food motivated which should make her a breeze to train. So far she has gotten along with everyone and hasn't had any problems with other dogs, we aren't sure about cats. Sally is up to date on all shots and preventative, Heartworm negative, and spayed. Her adoption fee is only $30. please let us know if you would like to meet her.

Story
Henry is an adult male Pit Bull, born on May 3, 2021, and weighing 40 pounds. With a big heart and a love for adventure, Henry is sure to capture the affection of those who take the time to understand his unique personality. Despite his strong and confident exterior, Henry requires patience and experience to fully appreciate his loving nature. Henry's journey to becoming a friendly and well-behaved companion hasn't been without its challenges. Due to a lack of socialization during his formative years, Henry sometimes struggles with social cues, which can lead to misunderstandings in social settings. Fortunately, with dedicated training and care, Henry has made significant progress and thrives under the guidance of an experienced owner. What to Expect When Adopting a Dog Like Henry Slow and Steady Introductions: Henry is a "three-date dog," meaning he takes a bit of time to warm up to new people. Multiple meet-and-greet sessions will help him feel more comfortable and secure. Patience and understanding are key to gaining his trust. Continued Training and Guidance: While Henry excels in obedience commands such as sit, down, place, and boundary control, he needs ongoing training to reinforce his social skills. A pinch collar is recommended once trust is established, helping him maintain focus and control during walks. Adventure-Loving Spirit: Henry loves adventure and is a great companion for pack walks, though he may initially feel uneasy. His ability to walk calmly past other dogs without reacting is a testament to his progress and potential. Understanding Boundaries: Henry is not allowed on furniture to prevent dominance issues. Instead, he enjoys using his designated place as his own cozy sofa. This routine helps reinforce boundaries and ensure a harmonious living environment. Gentle Handling: Henry is sensitive about being grabbed by his collar. Using treats to lure him is a more effective approach, as it prevents him from shutting down and maintains a positive attitude. Breed-Experienced Owner: Henry requires an owner with experience in handling Pit Bulls or similar breeds. Understanding his needs and providing a structured environment will help him continue to thrive and grow into a well-rounded companion. By welcoming Henry into your home, you're inviting a loyal and adventurous spirit into your life. His journey of growth and the bond you'll build together will be rewarding and fulfilling. If you're ready to offer Henry the understanding and guidance he needs, he might just be the perfect match for your family! Story
Meet Yasmin, a 100% pitbull that weighs around 40 pounds! Despite her petite size she is full of energy and life and is looking for a home to call her own! She is a super love bug once she gets to know you and she is protective over her human(s). Yasmin is looking for an active household that is also going to keep up with her training! She comes with 2 free lessons with her trainer! She has been getting basic obedience as well as behavioral modification on and off since we rescued her and is currently back in board and train now and has been the last few months. Yasmin needs a strong handler and someone that has owned a pitbull before. She can live with other dogs just fine and she does take time to warm up to new people in the household so either no kids in the home or a very dog savvy kid that will understand Yasmins boundaries. She would love to go on walks, hikes, camping, to the beach, etc! She is up for anything and she does great in the car. Looking for a new adventure buddy Yasmin is your girl! She is currently in the Portland, Oregon area with her trainer and can also be adopted anywhere in California! If interested in adopting Yasmin you can fill out the adoption application here www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptionsNovember 6, 2024, 2:40 pm

Story
Meet Teddy! He is really smart, really sweet and while he has plenty of energy the thing he loves most in the world is to sit and cuddle with you on the sofa or on a super soft blanket on the bed. Teddy is looking for a loving family to spend the rest of his years with. He will need an experienced, caring and patient owner. Teddy isn't cat friendly and would do well with older children only because he is a larger dog.
